Sue and Steve Beside the Sea
My husband and I attended the 'Beside the Sea' one day course on 29 Jan and we found it great fun as well as being very informative. Al was superb in his teaching style and made us feel very welcome and we thoroughly enjoyed our day. We covered filleting fish to opening oysters and ate the delicious food we made. Definitely would recommend a course with Al and will be revisiting soon.

One day Beside the Sea course - fantastic experience
I completed the one-day Beside the Sea cooking course on January 29th and loved it. Al taught us a bunch of delicious dishes with mackerel, lemon sole, mussels, and calamari - all in an accessible and fun way. Because it was seafood we cooked, ate, cooked, ate, and so on - which was ideal. Over lunch we had some delicious wine and local beers. The school and setup is professional, and in a beautiful part of the country. Highly recommend - can't wait to do another one! Many thanks.
A fabulous example of the best kind of teaching
As a teacher myself, I do not say lightly that the teaching of the Level 2 CTH Award in Culinary Skills has been faultless - and so much fun. We covered so many skills in three weeks, which have transformed me from a recipe-bound cook to a culinary experimenter - with so much more confidence. Not least that I can finally make a glamorous tart.
Claire and Al’s dedication to giving us the best experience possible is obvious, as is their warmth and kindness.
I feel very privileged to have spent three weeks at White Pepper and thank everyone in the team who works so hard to make it so brilliant.
Exellent day
I attended the Thai cookery day and thoroughly enjoyed it. Fully interactive and fun, made our own lunch and took some food home too. Small numbers and not rushed. The tamarind prawns I will definitely be making again. It has made Thai cookery less daunting, thank you.
Indian One Day course superb
My husband and I attended the One Day Indian Cooking course on Saturday which was a gift. Brilliant day - well organised, informative - both around recipes but also areas such as knife skills - and great fun with Al a super engaging teacher. Group of 10 great people to cook alongside in a friendly, supportive environment which meant a lot given we're enthusiastic rather than experienced cooks. I'd thoroughly recommend it and am already planning which course to do next.

I had an amazing day on the Lesley Walters Xmas Baking session and have recreated some of the things we learnt already. Great experience will do it again.
Festive Baking
Such a brilliant day baking festive treats. We baked and took home lebkuchen, mincemeat tarte and stollen muffins. Lots of treats for Christmas and no weighing out or washing up. Will certainly return again.

Beyond Fantastic
I have completed my Level 2, my Level 3 and Level 4 with WhitePepper. This has opened SO many doors for me in my life, now I work for an amazing French Patisserie chain as a Patisserie Chef and some day hope to run my own!
Not only was this a tremendous experience which I legitimately enjoyed every minute of, but the tutors and staff that work here make it memorable as well as endlessly fun.
Not only would I recommend the recreational courses to anyone with even a small interest in cooking, but I would hold this as one of the best places to go if you are interested in changing your career to be a chef, or if you are currently a chef that wants to further your career.
