I wish I would have found WCA sooner
I wish I would have found white collar before sentencing! But the services, many of which are free advice were very helpful before serving my time. I know the services could have helped me pretrial and especially what to be doing during your time inside. Nothing truly prepares you but White Collar is the best in the business with experienced advisor that offer straightforward information.

An amazing organization
When I first started my journey as a defendant I had no idea what to expect and, more importantly, what I could do to take charge of my own advocacy. While I had excellent legal representation, I was clueless as to the many ways and opportunities I had to improve my chances with my Judge. Fortunately, in my research, I stumbled upon WCA. This organization opened my eyes to the options I had to improve my situation and outcome. During the four years since pleading guilty, thanks to WCA, I took control of vital communications needed to make a difference in how the DOJ and my Judge would decide my fate. The volume and quality of the reading material and videos offered vital knowledge and help - gave me the confidence to take action which I did with great success. Thank you, Justin Paperny
Time doesn't stand still. Nor should we.
Many justice impacted people find ourselves lost in a bureaucracy we don’t understand, and don’t even know where to start.
After spending two plus years on pre-trial probation, I was sentenced to 51 months
in federal prison Thanks to a very zealous victim with her own legal team presenting
A “victim impact statement” on her behalf, my sentence was above the guidelines I plead
to. Reality set in. I reached out to Justin Paperny for advice. Working through my new reality with Justin Paperny and Michael Santos was the best thing I could've ever done.
They put me in touch with others who had just come out of my situation. I spoke with Forrest who had some great advice and encouragement. I spoke with Matthew, who was on home confinement at the time, after doing 17 months on a 51 month sentence just like mine. I listened to their stories and absorbed their guidance. Their team took the time to get to know me and my case- never treating me like a boiler plate pre-surrender. They made sure that I understood the nuances and the differences between the BOP & what the court and my lawyer were telling me. I learned what to expect when I hit the prison, so that I would be able to navigate efficiently and at once start receiving FSA credits, After a thorough interview, white collar advice helped me put together a release plan that I was able to use as an accountability guide throughout my journey. Not only did this release plan go to my family and friends, I posted it on my blog. When I met with unit team after surrendering, I shared this with my case manager. She was receptive and suggested that I share the information with the other inmates. I begin teaching classes, and together a large group of us were writing, updating, following our release plans, reading, writing book reports, blogs, journaling, and documenting our journey.
Michael sent daily newsletters through prison professors, which helped me to stay focused and informed throughout my time in prison. This helped me immensely when I filed for a sentence reduction after one year of working hard, volunteering, teaching and mentoring, and documenting. The judge saw what I was doing, which speaks in volumes more than words in a petition.
Not only was I granted a sentence reduction by the court (the judge specifically recognized the work I had done and documented), I also was able to show my case manager and camp administrator that I was worthy of the full benefits that second chance and first step acts offered.
Initially, I had hoped to participate in RDAP, which would allow for up to one year off of my sentence. I was not able to participate in RDAP because of staff shortages and an influx of female prisoners coming from another institution which was shut down in California.
Without RDAP, I received an 11 month sentence reduction, one year of RRC (halfway/home confinement), and I continue to receive FSA credits. I am so grateful, and happy to share my story with others, with hope that together we can make some changes.
Skepticism and Despair To Extreme Gratitude and Hope
I simply had no idea what to do. How does one tackle that unbelievable fact that your facing imprisonment in days, and for years, with quite literally no guidance from anyone including your own attorney. With a family and children and no input as to how to prepare, I launched into the abyss that is the internet. I found Prison Professors and was flooded with so much free information that now I was worried I was too late to prepare and behind the ball. This led me to my saving grace, White Collar Advice. Scotty picks up and says what I needed to here, “believe it or not, your actually ahead of the game compared to most”. I couldn’t believe it. With a direct call from Justin, I was launched into all the preparations needed with multiple people on deck to make things happen. Scotty and Justin were thoughtfully on the wire, anytime I needed answers to my questions. Then came more powerhouses, both Forrest and Joseph who combined forces to share their most personal experiences with the system and key advice in preparing for the journey. Forrest, was unbelievably patient and thorough in preparing a plan for release and statements. Joseph, like few others was willing to hear about all my concerns and shared his experiences to put me at ease. I can’t thank White Collar Advice and these guys enough. I’m now only a couple hours from surrendering, with a clear understanding that my family and I will be fine, and that we’ll get through this journey like the family ready to work the problems forthcoming. My deepest appreciation to you all.
Thank You White Collar Advice
I have found the entire experience with White Collar Advice to be professional, compassionate and extremely informative. Justin P. has been great and on top of everything in regards to what I needed to get done and alleviating my fears. He also introduced me to Joseph De Gregorio, who I have to admit was exceptional. From the moment we spoke and beyond, he has continued to go out of his way to make sure I knew exactly the process from preparing for self surrender to what I needed to know step by step once I was inside.
I am self surrendering and of course, I am nervous but I do feel prepared to tackle this journey.
Thank you White Collar Advice!

Definitely hire this firm if you are facing a criminal case
I hired White Collar Advice for an ongoing criminal case. The people, material, and response time are fantastic. I spoke with Joseph DeGregorio for more than an hour regarding Pre-Sentencing Interview. Joseph is an expert. He is a consummate professional. He also makes me feel I am not alone in facing this case. I highly recommend Joseph DeGregorio and this firm. I wish I had hired White Collar Advice and spoke to Joseph earlier.
Joseph, Melinda and the incredible team
Joseph and the rest of the team have been amazing to work with and have given me resolve, strength but most of all the knowledge I believe I will need to survive. The attention to detail and support Joseph provides is an absolute life saver. I wish I had met him sooner.

100% worth it
When my husband was sentenced our world was shattered. We didn’t know how to navigate the unknown. I started to doing my own research and through that I found White Collar Advice. Our initial call was such a relief hearing from someone that has been through this. After that call our meeting with Joseph lended inside information on how to prepare. The information was invaluable as we were just so appreciative to learn information that we would have never known without this call. Lastly, we connected with Scottie our writer for my husbands release plan. We immediately connected with Scottie and his friendship, advocacy, and empathy towards our situation gave us hope while also giving us more helpful information on how to prepare for him self-surrendering. Scottie messaged me after my husband’s first day checking in on me and since he’s been such a great support person to have in our corner. I would 100% recommend reaching out to WCA. I’ll be forever grateful for their support through all of this!!

This Team is REAL
I engaged with White Collar Advice a week after I was sentenced to federal prison. I was skeptical at first, but was quickly impressed by everyone I met. Alec, was my initial call. He answered all my questions and started me down the correct path with the company.
Next, I met with lead consultant Joseph DeGregorio. He was amazing. He shared incredible knowledge while showing empathy and support. He answered all the questions I had and has guided me through the process. Joseph has been a bright spot in this dark chapter.
I then began work on my release plan with Scotty Carper. His understanding and care coupled with his communication skills helped create the plan and prepare me for this next phase. I am grateful to have had Scotty on my team.
Forrest Behne was next. He walked me through the PSAP course. He took the time to get to know me and help me work through the course. He was thoughtful and caring, a joy to work with.
Last, I was able to finish working with Justin and Michael. These guys know their stuff and are committed to helping people like me turn a tough situation into the best possible outcome.
Everyone in this organization brought huge value to me. They are a group of people that are committed to helping others go through what they have already made it through. I can’t imagine what it would have been like navigating all this on my own.

As a defense attorney, I trust White Collar Advice to help my clients
I cannot more highly recommend White Collar Advice for anyone facing government investigation or currently embroiled in criminal litigation. Having worked in the criminal justice system for nearly 20 years as a prosecutor and defense attorney, I know there certainly is an art to ensuring that prosecutors and judges view and understand each defendant as a whole person, worthy of value beyond the mere act of which he stands accused. Crafting an effective mitigation strategy as early in a criminal case as possible is essential, and the White Collar Advice team is the gold standard in this field. As a defense attorney, I find tremendous value in collaborating with White Collar Advice, and my clients reap tremendous benefits.
Beware of other companies who claim to copy what White Collar Advice does, there are crooks and fraudsters aplenty in this field. And beware of any criminal defense attorney who discourages you from working with White Collar Advice, there is only upside in working with this outstanding team.

They have walked the walk
Where to begin...My initial contact was with Alec. He answered all my initial questions and exercised extreme patience with me. Once onboard, the response from the staff was unreal. Joe D. gave me insight that can't be found online. Scotty wrote a tremendous pre-release plan and Justin had me speaking to a college class to start my "journey to redemption" all with within two weeks. Fear of the unknown creates tremendous anxiety. Justin and his staff removed the anxiety. Thank you.

Excellent Support and Advice
Done and posted ✔️
Navigating the complexities of preparing for my partner's incarceration and developing a comprehensive release plan was an overwhelming and emotionally charged journey. However, the support we received was nothing short of exceptional, and I am immensely grateful for the guidance and assistance provided throughout this challenging time.
From the very beginning, we were met with empathy and understanding. The team took the time to listen to our concerns and needs, offering personalized advice that was both practical and compassionate. They provided us with invaluable resources, which helped us stay organized and focused.
One of the most significant aspects of their support was the thorough preparation for my partner's incarceration. They helped us create a tailored release plan that addressed key areas such as employment, housing, and support networks. Their knowledge of available resources and programs was instrumental in crafting a realistic and effective plan for my partner's reintegration into society.
Additionally, their ongoing support was invaluable. Regular check-ins and updates provided us with a sense of continuity and reassurance. They were always available to answer questions, provide clarification, and offer encouragement, which made a significant difference in our ability to cope with the situation.
Overall, the help and support we received were beyond what we could have hoped for. Their professionalism, dedication, and genuine care made a profound impact on our experience. I wholeheartedly recommend their services to anyone facing similar challenges, as they have truly made a positive difference in our journey.
Alec is a GOD send
Alec is a GOD send! He has answered questions without delay even though I can't afford to hire him. I admire this quality in a person that just wants to make a nightmare a little easier for a mother. I cannot thank him and White CollarAdvice enough. I've learned alot from Justin's videos!

Hope for justice impacted people from Joe DeGregorio & Carole Santos
“Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.”
I was introduced to Joe DeGregorio in September 2023 in formulating my PSR. From the very first minute, Joe's mentorship, friendship, empathy, intelligence, integrity was apparent. Joe’s sage wisdom and advice is rooted in his humanity and experience. Joe along with Carole Santos would be the greatest of “hope bearers” as despite over 30 months of documented health challenges including deep venous ulcers with spontaneous high volume bleeding, DVT tumor and obstructive chronic sleep apnea I was initially given a non medical designation with 72 hours to surrender some 11 months after first meeeting. With only 48 until self surrender Joe Degregorio and Carole Santos were so knowledgeable, responsive and supportive I was redesignated to a federal medical center closest to my family. I’ll be forever indebted to them both for hope and compassion they provided me throughout last 11 months.
