Attended a Christmas lunch at The White Lion Hotel in Upton upon Severn recently.
The setting and the surroundings were lovely but the food and the service were not.
The Christmas dinner was served on a very small dinner plate and the Turkey Roast was literally piled item upon item. It was impossible to separate the items out and the gravy just ran off the top. There was no side plate to help out either. So there was not choice to eat the meat first, veg next and potatoes after. The Yorkshire pud was balanced precariously and fell off onto the table.
The waitress was curt, unsmiling and barely helpful.
Its a shame because we wont be booking there again. The price was not unreasonable though and the food was quite edible.
