This is a very tired old building
This is a very tired old building, desperately in need of renovation. The rooms are basic, with badly fitted and maintained equipment. My room had mold on the bathroom ceiling, rust on the radiator, only one of the bedside lights worked etc... Downstairs becomes a bar during the evening and is very noisy. Not easy to get any sleep until they kick everyone out at around 11:30pm. The carpets in the corridors are threadbare and the breakfast is best avoided (there are cafes nearby). Watch-out for the scam of taking £50 off you when you arrive for a damage deposit...despite the fact that they already have your credit card details from booking the room! Not sure how this could work unless you need to wait on checkout until they send someone to inspect your room? The carpark is small and there are very heavy fines for infringements. On the plus side, the location is good, the bed was comfortable and it was at least possible to park, but accommodation of this standard should really be cheaper. Their website bares little resemblance to reality (must have been a great photographer)
