If I could give less than 1 star I would. I never usually leave bad reviews but the play area we purchased nearly seriously injured our son. He was swinging on the set when the whole swingset side collapsed on him. Luckily he seemed to sense the danger while it was falling and slightly moved so it more or less avoided him. The design is terrible however I must state we hadn't anchored the item due to where we had to locate it. It is an Aframe with the main beam to support swings effectively balanced on the Aframe and bolted into the tower with 1 bolt. As others have stated usually there is some sort of metal bracing for stability. Obviously once I checked my son was ok I decided to contact the company. They seemed responsive at first but as soon as I mentioned they weren't anchored they have wiped their hands of it. I cannot anchor the play area due to where it is unfortunately but still wouldn't have expected the wood to split and the screws to shear and collapse. If I can help even just one family I would advise do your research and purchase something else as I dont think this Aframe design is that safe. Even with the anchors I still think there would have been an issue. They look lovely play areas but unless you can fully concrete and anchor them in and trust the AFrame design I would maybe keep looking at other companies. Also as others have stated it is fairly DIY. I luckily had a joiner install it and it still took him 2 days to build it as everything had to be cut and drilled. So keep that in mind also.

I received a slide on 22/3/22, the slide had a very big noticeable crack on it. I emailed the company & was told a new slide would be dispatched. Fast forward also 3 months & still no sign of the slide.
I have emailed the company multiple times and was eventually told that the courier delivered the slide on 20/5 which is obviously untrue. So we have been delivered a faulty product with no replacement. Very disappointing!!

Absolute joke.
Waited 3 weeks for the item to come it’s come and it’s the wrong item, I’ve attempted to put this together anyway for half of it to be missing. This was my sons birthday present that he now can’t use and it’s unsafe. Customer service is rubbish just say to email which then takes them days at a time to reply to and Im £500 down with a bag of rubbish on my garden

Definitely would NOT buy from Wickey again. Ordered a climbing frame, arrived on time. Started to assemble but the instructions are incorrect. 2 major parts of the climbing frame had split so were not safe to use. We had to purchase more wood to replace the split pieces, extra tools that were not listed so spending more money on top of what we had spent. Wood is not pre drilled and the few pre drilled holes there were, were awful. It says the wood is treated but only some was treated and the whole thing needs a substantial sanding down. I’m so disappointed with the quality of this and the fact my children have spent their savings on something you could build for a lot less money and better quality.

I've never ordered crap like this before. Nothing is done: the bars have to be sawn by yourself, all the holes have to be drilled yourself. The wood also needs to be sanded. I am amazed that there are no instructions that show us where the trees are that we are supposed to cut down. The few pre-drilled holes are not clean or not drilled through. The instructions contain an error - if you follow it meticulously, you will assemble the device incorrectly. We also had to buy tools and materials for a three-digit amount! There isn't even anything to anchor the tower to the ground! Hands off!

Not worth the money you pay, awful customer service had missing items which still hasn't been resolved my husband had to cut abit of wood of the pallet to be able to securely fit the swings as that part was missing, no tarp was sent and the slide is meant to have a water connection but was sent the wrong 1 with no connection won't be recommending or ordering from here again should of read the reviews 1st

For the money you are paying for these products are would say they are overpriced; for the reason that the assembly is extremely difficult and you have to construct everything from drilling your own holes to cutting the plastic for all the decorative pieces. I assumed that this would be pre-made but it is literally planks of wood (some of which are too big/too small) and a sheet of plastic. You then have to do the rest. In addition we had to go and buy additional tools, spending even more money to put this together. Overall I would say not worth the money (we paid nearly £700 for essentially a climbing frame and slide).

Since I posted this review, Wickey have been in touch to explain certain aspects (for example pre drilling the holes is not advised due to wood in transit potentially expanding). The customer service has been good

Ordered a climbing frame in Nov, took far longer than stated to arrive, wasn't too much of an issue as it did eventually arrive before Christmas. However when it did arrive several pieces were missing or damaged. I took plenty of photos and even the delivery driver stated how awful it looks, was on one broken palette with some ripped plastic half around it! I spoke to Wickey who sent a £40 refund (LOL on a £300 item) and agreed to send out the missing parts. The delivery company did not state a time they would deliver the missing parts so when they did arrive all of a sudden I had to refuse delivery as we live on a main road and the gate was locked so I was unable to take in at short notice. Wickey contatced me asking why I refused delivery so I explained and they had the cheek to say to me they have no idea why I refused as I had ample time?? OK DO YOU LIVE IN MY HOUSE OR ON MY ROAD NO?? disgusting tone of voice. So now I am left with half a climbing frame sat out in the elements with no way or building it. They said they will attempt to deliver the missing pieces again and if I refuse delivery they will come and collect the whole frame and refund me. The tone of voice of the email was quite threatening. Shop elsewhere I urge you!!!

Wickey have since sent me a photo of SOMEONE ELSES driveway saying there is ample space to leave the delivery. The agent I have been dealing with called Chris has a very sarcastic tone of voice and does not represent the company very well.

The climbing frame was delivered on time and was well packed. It was not easy to assemble and the instructions were not easy to follow but once erected it looks good. Overall we were quite pleased with the final product.

Nice play house castle , but the finishing touches are simply NOT there . Fot the price we payed I was expecting that the wood will pre drilled . You have to measure and drill everything. Also the flags and stickers are not made . They expecting you to be artistic and make your own .
That was a big let down for us as we really couldn't make the horse / unicorn or the eyes 😕

After reading loads of reviews here I was really reluctant to buy a climbing frame for my little boy and I have to say I'm glad I gave it a chance. It came in 2 weeks. The only niggle we have with the whole building process was that the instructions really wasn't clear and also that there was no stencil etc for the plastic vinyl meaning we had to free hand the leaves and bunting on our climbing frame.
Overall we really like the product and my little man is loving using the climbing frame.

You're just buying badly pre-cut wood and basic instructions. No real value.

You'd better have superb DIY skills and good tools.

You simply get badly pre-cut wood, some screws and IKEA-style instructions.

Frustratingly, there's no pre-drilled pilot holes OR even marks. So you'll spend a lot of time measuring and marking - because if you get it wrong, you can blow the build quite easily.

2 months for delivery, arrived filthy, about 12 significant wooden parts missing, including those you can't build it without.
Took 6 weeks to get replacements.
Half the replacement were incorrect and had to be cut to the correct size.

Some aspects of the frames are BADLY designed, for example the 'A' frame used to support swings - it's a weak design and awkward to build. Others use a metal "connector" to slot in and bolt into easily.

I'd recommend you look at a 'bolt together' solution, as Wickey is significantly overpriced for what amounts to a pile of wood.

Despite being great at DIY and having lots of tools, it still took two of us THREE DAYS.
Two days to build and ONE DAY TO SAND with an electric sander - as all the wood is rough as hell - for a kids climbing frame nonetheless!

Shocking.

Received the jollyjim double swing set,
The wood arrived damaged and lots of big splits!! Right through the lengh of the wood.
The company quickly responded to me Concern and replaced the pieces of wood that we're damaged and split. After replacing the pieces of wood and anchoring the four posts with cement its a lot more stable.

Great service after all😊
