This is by far the worst dating site ever put together, especially for grieving widows and widowers. I am a 71 yr old male who lost the Love of my Life, my College Sweetheart after 50 yrs of a Blissful marriage, 15 months ago. The only reason I decided to venture into the dating scene a month ago, is because my wife made me promise her before she passed in my arms from an 11 yr battle w/Breast Cancer, that I would find someone to be with as she knew that I couldn’t be by myself and needed to be with someone who would love me unconditionally as I would them for the remainder of my life.
Hence, this site. In the last two weeks, I have been Cat Fished twice from women who I thought were sincere and Christian with the same traditional values I had. This is nothing short of a honey pot for unrelenting scammers looking to deceive and eventually steal your money one way or another. I’m not going to be one of their statistics.
I agree with everyone else here who has written a negative review. This company deserves to be shut down. This website obviously is operated out of the USA for a reason, they are scammers themselves as well as the Cat Fish clients they have on their site.
Luckily, I can spot a scammer a mile away.
I hope my message gets out there to as many people as possible.
Taking advantage of widows and widowers is one of the worst types of evil!

Update to unhappy it was addressed with ventmo they deleted the account and won't refund and told me they deleted it. Customer service is awfully nothing like making the customer happy.

My husband died unexpectedly in 2019. Five years later I joined Widows and Widowers. Everytime I put in an age range 72 to 84 it reverted back to much younger age range. When I put in South Glamorgan area it would change to Anywhere, This meant having likes from men living hundred of miles away making it impossible to meet anyone locally. Today I was shocked when I checked my bank account to see GB Dating and £164.95 withdrawn from my bank account. I phoned and queried the withdrawal and told there was no refund and I was a member until 8/4/2025. Today the date is 11/04/2024, which is only 3 days ago and told it cant be returned or a refund given which means staying with them for another year. To date I havent heard or met anyone locally and it seems a lot of men are not on the site for genuine relationships. One told told me he didnt want one women he wanted to be in touch with several women at the same time. This means he would be in control of telling them when he would meet or chat with them.
This isnt the purpose of a widow joining and paying a dating site and paying their subscription which in my case was a lot of money for a service that allows scrupulous men and fake profiles to take advantage of genuine widows seeking new beginnings in their lives. Also the lack of protection from Widows and Widowers for their paying customers, their lack of responsibility and customer care and making a lot of money dishonestly which fails to comply with Trading Standards.

Horrible website. Don't think anyone on there is actually a widow. Horrible to navigate and hard to use. Near impossible to cancel with pop ups and tiny text. Avoid avoid avoid.

Take heed and DO NOT involve yourself in this most disturbing website. As a widow, I made the mistake of naively "buying into" the website's absolute deception which claims... "we are well placed to provide you with a safe and compassionate dating experience. We understand the importance of going at your own pace and meeting others who can genuinely relate to your loss."
In the 3 week period that I was involved, not one interchange with a member was genuine. All who made contact with me were scammers and NOT WIDOWERS!! And what is with the administration taking liberty to involve members in other websites without consent.
I have requested a refund and if not provided I will take this further as this site is unscrupulous preying on vulnerable individuals. Nothing short of disgusting......

This site is the worst dating site I’ve ever come across. Have to upgrade to view/send messages so thought I’d give it a go. Wish I’d check Trustpilot first! Once signed up, you are bombarded with messages and pop ups taking you to other sites that want you to sign up. Even when you try to interact with people, it doesn’t go where you ask it to go, again taking you to other sites. Barely any widows on the site, put simply this site is not as advertised and full of pop up adverts!

Terrible company, basically makes it impossible to get any money back.
They aren’t widows, they are not what you have detailed. I’m a mid 40’s widow, why are really young men contacting me?
And that’s if you get to see anyone, the amount of adverts that keep popping up.
Wanted to cancel in the cooling off period, but because I had even looked at the site (how else are you meant to see if it’s for you?), I struggled to get ‘a goodwill gesture’ and them cutting my 6 month subscription to 3 months.
They had already offered that and it’s in their terms so I’m not sure what’s so goodwill about it.
Despicable cowboys…no care at all for the customers which are vulnerable widows.

Dreadful dating website many fraudulent and dishonest activity

Absolutely dreadful site. My mum paid £80 for 3 months, only to be bombarded by scammers who have continued to harrass her. There seems to be absolutely nothing in the way of identity checks. One of the scammers sent her a fake passport photo that was so very badly edited, but I shudder to think how many vulnerable and less tech-savvy ladies will fall for the kind of men who are given free reign to prey on them through what is supposed to be a secure and reputable site.

1. Plagued with pop ups advertising adult swinger or affairs sites.
2. 7 stage complicated process to cancel subscription.
3. My profile was put up on a sister dating site without my permission or knowledge.
4. Had to continuously log in again after every pop up.
Worst web site I have ever been on.

I signed up for a free account for a week or so, to see how it looked. There were certainly NOT only widowers, which makes the site suspect. But there were a few who looked interesting, so I did sign up for three months. As SOON as they got my credit card info, they deactivated my account, with NO explanation. I have tried sending multiple emails to the email address listed on their site, but they are returned as undeliverable. This site is clearly a scam. Do not use.
Update: after a couple weeks of arguing back and forth, they FINALLY refunded 2/3 of the fees I paid them. They kept 1/3 because they said I had “used” the site. Sigh. Just glad to be done. Do not use.

Not impressed at all with this site and it gives me serious concerns when 18 and 19 years olds r approaching me with distasteful and disgusting remarks. Furthermore, after paying 3 months membership I do not receive no updates. I have cancelled any further payments.

If you are actually widowed, don't waste the $84 on this site. So far in two days I've been messaged by quite a few men...none of whom are widowers.

It's hard enough to navigate dating after losing the love of my life, I paid to join thinking how much easier it would be to talk to people who have been through it.

Very angry. Joined the site and paid subscription and my account was immediately deactivated. Contacted customer services and received no reply.

This site seems to be full of scammers. I corresponded for about 3 days with someone who appeared to be very nice. Long story short, he professed abiding love for me within this time without having met. I put the photos on Google and they were of a Spanish Baron! Another contacted me with different photos of the same man, different name and location. I've run a few others through the process - also scammers. All reported to the site but not taken down yet. Not worth the money and a dangerous place for the vulnerable and unwary. I'm cancelling my account.

I upgraded to be able to read and send messages but wasn't able to. I asked for a refund several times and have been denied. This site is a scam!

Site is worthless if you are serious about looking for a companion. I received a bunch of obviously fake 'messages' and invitations to pay for the service
