I used to love Wildflower yarn but the last two orders have been really disappointing. There seems to be an issue with colour saturation or quality control where skeins looks very unlike ones on the website. This used to be great but for some reason has dropped off sharply this year. Maybe it is an issue with dye saturation or water chemistry changes. My second to last order had very pale yarn and I could hardly tell multiple colours apart in the gradient set and had to redye several. The order in total was over a hundred pounds and I was so disappointed.

I then decided to try again and the next order had very pale disappointing colours too and it took a long time to save up for the previous order. I understand handdyed yarn has natural variations and love the idea of buying from a fellow disabled artist, but having just received a colour of the month with a greyish colour and a few tiny pink and blue speckles that don't look like the pictures I will not be ordering from them again.

Fantastic small business owner!!

Very happy with the service, and yarn from Wildfloweryarn! Very responsive to queries, and lost parcels (due to royal mail strikes). She sorted it all out, amid great stress.
The yarns are beautiful, as always, and I would/will happily purchase from her again, with confidence.

Sorry I still can’t really give a review, has I hadn’t received the first parcel; it went to another area even though it had my address on it and the post office handed it to a stranger with no proof 🤷‍♀️ I did try to sort it out but had to get intouch with wildflower yarn ; who is dealing with it, but up to now no yarns 😢 . This is the first time this has happened to me. It wasn’t the seller’s fault it was delivery

This was a business transaction that went poorly

This was a business transaction that went poorly. This is about me not receiving my order of October 29, 2022 that was paid for on October 29, 2022. This is about the shop owner not packaging and shipping my order in a timely manner on its own. And when I asked about this order I got vague email responses and I was too afraid to be more assertive and ask where my yarn was and why it had not been mailed yet. And when I did ask for a refund, I was attacked by the shop owner in her email responses, so I was right to be concerned and afraid. This was very upsetting.

I ordered 4 skeins of hand-dyed yarn from Wildflower Yarn, from the ready to ship sweater quantity page, on October 29, 2022. I would not have ordered this yarn if it had not been on the ready to ship page as it would have taken too long to get it and I wanted it right away. It was to include free shipping by the shop owner. I have not received that order as of today's date (December 28, 2022), and I doubt I will.

If the owner had put this order in a shipping bag at the beginning of Nov and mailed it to me then, on its own, with proper postage that she paid for, since it was supposed to be free shipping, I would likely have received it. However, what she "said" she did was hold onto it until somewhere near the middle to end of November 2022 and then somehow "attached" it to a previously paid for order, for a yarn advent calendar, by a "postal band or strap" or something on the outside of that package! So basically she "said" she shipped two packages one on top the other in separate shipping bags but stuck together somehow.

This is absolutely ridiculous, in my opinion, and I was not aware she was planning on doing this. I had never heard of a postal band or strap. I did not agree to that or ask her to send my yarn this way. She decided to do this on her own, and I did not know about it until after it was mailed. It was going International from the UK to Canada.

I have all the emails and documentation, and yet the shop owner insists that my claim is without merit and refused to give me my money back. I have had to go to my credit card company to initiate a dispute of this transaction because I do not believe that this package, if it was shipped in the way she says, will ever arrive. I believe now that there was likely no postage put on the order/package that went missing and she was trying to "piggyback" it onto my other order so she wouldn't have to pay for the free shipping cost she offered on my extra yarn order. Otherwise, why not just put it in the mail with postage on it on its own.

There was nothing attached to the outside of the red plastic bag containing my yarn advent calendar order when it arrived November 28, 2022. There was no visible indication that anything had been attached to the outside of that bag either. There was nothing that indicated that this was 1 of 2 packages on the red mailer.

When I contacted her on December 7, 2022, to ask for a refund of my money, since I did not receive my order, she refused. Her two emails on that date were angry, blaming/shaming type of emails. She did not apologize for the problem with my order, which she was responsible for mailing, since it is her business. It seems it is always someone or something else's fault, not hers. I have never spoken to her, just emails.

My order was placed in October, long before any personal problems that she has mentioned on Instagram happened. I feel it was very unprofessional to blame a customer for what was clearly her responsibility no matter what is happening in her life.

I have heard nothing from her since then. She blocked me from her Instagram account (I have no idea why) on the same day I asked for my money back!

At this point, I would just like my money back. I don't want the product now, as dealing with her has been so unpleasant and there is way too much drama for me. When I order from a yarn company, I want it to be easy, stress free, and pleasant, and this was definitely not! As I told the owner in my last email, it is not enough to dye beautiful yarn, you also have to be accountable and professional.

Hello DB,

Did you delete your 1st review because trustpilot told you off for including my personal information? Or was it because the email you included actually corroborated what it was I was saying?

No matter I’ll just reply to this review, and with the same facts.

Yes on October 29th you purchased yarn from me in a sale (sale yarn btw is exempt from refunds, only exchanges are permitted, that’s a policy all shops incorporate!) this sale included free shipping on sweater quantity’s of yarn, on my website a sweater quantity is defined by 4+ skeins of yarn of the same colour way, all found in the dyed to order section.

You emailed me shortly after when I announced on instagram that the international advents were starting to leave, and asked if the yarn you had bought just 4 days before could be included in the advent shipping, I stated that I didn’t think so as it would be too heavy for one package, your advent was in a large box, the sweater quantity wouldn’t of been able to fit in.

(The 1st review you subsequently deleted with the email in that I sent in reply to you stated this, which is why you deleted it when I pointed out, you did in fact ask could they be shipped together, so no amount of pretending you didn’t say it, will change that fact)

I did say that I’d see what I could do about shipping them together for you, so both arrived at the same time, so on November 7th I used a packing belt (it’s a strap used by mail carries to hold parcels together for shipping) as I couldn’t put them in the same poly mailer, I attached the smaller bag to the top of the bagged box. The smaller bag had a postage label on it for 800g the box had a 200g label on it, I didn’t attach the labels the lady at the collection point did.

You parcels then shipped, in the U.K. we’re currently experiencing a serious postal strike, during November they were on strike for 10 days, your parcel got caught up in this, and subsequently was held by the Royal Mail at Heathrow for over 10 days, I didn’t hold anything that was Royal Mail.

You then contacted me via email on November 30th two days after my dads heart attack, to tell me you’d received the advent, that the box was damaged (you sent a photo which showed a large hole in the top of the box, like maybe something had been ripped from it?) but that your other parcel, was not there.

I replied even though I was sat in a hospital apologising and saying I would look into it as soon as I could for you, my dad subsequently passed away on December 2nd at which time I announced on Instagram that I was closing everything down, all items would be posted in a timely manner before Christmas, and I’d reply to people as soon as I was able to.

You then stormed into my emails on December 7th, demanding a instant refund.
which thanks to time zones I didn’t receive until the 8th, the day before my Dads funeral, I was overly stressed, grieving and probably not in a great place and yet I still answered you, apologising for not replying sooner, and that if as you stated the 2nd package wasn’t there, the only thing I could do as you were international was start a claim with Royal Mail, which could take up to 90 days to be completed, as they would need to contact Canadian customs and parcel service to check the weight, of the parcel when it entered the country.

This incensed you as you believed that I’d somehow not sent the cheaper item to you, just the more expensive one, (which make zero sense, why would I send the item almost twice the price and not the other?) you then started demanding a refund or else you’d use charge back to get your money.

I stated again that I was unable to refund you until a review from Royal Mail, you then started threatening me with legal action, so I blocked you, for my own mental health I was already in a vulnerable position.

So yes you did purchase your yarn before my ‘personal’ troubles began but you didn’t contact me about anything being amiss until after.

Hello dawn, I’m sorry your yarn has failed to arrive as of yet, but there is a pretty serious postal strike happening in the U.K. atm! Currently most packages are delayed by 3 weeks, your tracking shows the item is in atherstone sorting office..

Between strikes, weekends and Christmas, it’s been just 12 days since postage… if you’d used the proper channels, I would of been able to refund you asap..

Thank you

I was honestly gobsmacked when I opened my parcel. The yarn was so incredibly vibrant, and soft to touch. I just sat staring at it for ages. When I wound it into balls it was just as beautiful. I call it happy yarn because everytime I look at it I smile. Just what I need. Thank you, I will be ordering again
