Our itinerary was a great mix of city & rural including temples, palaces, local life, culture & wildlife. We stayed in many beautiful places eating fabulous food. Our guide was extremely knowledgable and our driver couldn’t be faulted. In all, a great trip. Well done and thank you Wild Frontiers!

I travelled to Algeria with Wild Frontiers in October 2025. It was on "my list" for many years and it was worth the wait. Crossroads of the Maghreb was a fascinating and varied tour, giving a real flavour of the country and its friendly welcoming people. It was yet another excellent trip from a company that really knows its stuff.

Wild Frontiers always use locally owned hotels etc and I have found these so much more pleasant than the anonymous Global behemoths. Their tours have taken me to places I could only dream of as a child and over the years I have never ever had a bad experience with them.

We recently went to Algeria with Wild Frontiers (Crossroads of the Mahgreb) and it was a cultural and historic delight. It ticked all the boxes for the road less travelled and despite friends trying to put me off going, it was an absolute delight. Our guide, M’hamed was passionate about his history and culture and enthralled us throughout. It sparked our imagination in so many ways but not least from the warmth of the people we encountered on the way. I highly recommend this trip if you enjoy epic Roman sites (particularly the mosaics) and to understand more about daily way of life amongst Muslim Algerian Tribes. Fascinating and a lesson for us all.

I just returned from a trip to North Peru (Land of the Cloud Warriors). I had a brilliant time, this was my first trip with Wild Frontiers and I was very impressed. Their communication and organisation was excellent. The group size was 11 which was perfect and our tour leader, driver and local guides were all outstanding. We packed a lot into the itinerary and what a fascinating part of the world. I highly recommend both this tour and Wild Frontiers

I am recently returned (October 2025) from a 12 day trip to Algeria with Wild Frontiers and without hesitation I recommend travelling with them. The trip was amazing, absolutely fantastic. Algeria is a fascinating, warm and hospitable country. Travelling with Wild Frontiers on their brilliantly planned and organised itinerary meant there was nothing to worry about apart from enjoying the trip to the maximum. Our guide was top class, a super impressive individual and our driver wonderful, a caring and a highly competent and safe driver. Go to Algeria and do so with Wild Frontiers....you'll love it!!

Turkey: Eastern Borderlands was my fifth trip with Wild Frontiers. It was a fantastic experience- not only the sights/sites, but the excellent guide, Timucin, and the company of the group. I recommend this tour and WF generally. Every trip with them has been well prepared and professionally run. It’s good to be treated as a valued fellow traveller rather than simply a number (as was the case with another company).

As always with Wild Frontiers, Sophie our wonderful guide in Georgia absolutely made the trip. I've now done four very different Wild Frontiers group tours. They were all fantastic and in all cases the guide was superb which makes all the difference.

Our recent Wild Frontiers tour of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan was spectacular and an unforgettable adventure.
From the moment we booked, the entire experience was seamless and highly professional. The pre-tour support was excellent, providing meticulous detail and great peace of mind (especially with the prompt arrival of the Turkmenistan Letters of Invitation and flight bookings).
The itinerary itself was a masterclass in comprehensive travel, offering a dense and fascinating tapestry of history and culture. Every day was a new discovery, from the breathtaking turquoise domes of Samarkand and the ancient walls of Khiva to the surreal landscapes of Turkmenistan, including the iconic Darvaza gas crater.
What truly sets Wild Frontiers apart is their exceptional guides and their ability to connect you with the heart and soul of a place. They were passionate storytellers who brought the history of the Silk Road to life, making the trip about experiencing daily life, not just seeing monuments.
We finished the tour filled to the brim with love for the experiences and the incredible warmth of the people. Thank you, Wild Frontiers, for a lifetime of wonderful memories!

Well organised. One really needs a well organised tour to explore a place like Algeria, which WildFrontiers provide. The place was a hidden gem!

I wanted to learn more about the ancient Silk Road. Our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the subject. She also presented a vivid picture of life in modern day Uzbekistan. She was flexible and took us to see a couple of things we asked about but weren't on the itinerary.

As an experienced traveller have just returned from my first trip with Wild Frontiers on the Into the Balkans tour which was extremely interesting and highly enjoyable. Impressed by the unusual destinations they offer and the excellent itineraries. Will definitely be travelling with them again.

This is my second trip with wild frontiers. Everything exceeded expectations. The itinerary was fantastic. The guides were very helpful and knowledgeable. The accommodation was great and very comfortable. I will always recommend Wild Frontiers. I look forward to going again soon in the not so distant future.

The tour in Georgia was wonderful. The tour guide, Gabi, was phenomenal. She was knowledgeable about the culture and history of the country as well as current events. She was also affable and managed the group well. The hotels were first rate. We saw so many amazing places and enjoyed meals in homes during the tours. I highly recommend the tour and Wild Frontiers.

The destinations were superb but what really made our tour exceptional were Tedi and Tony (our tour guide and driver). Tony is a superb driver and the roads are very challenging. Tedi is 23 and I think some of the group was wondering if he could lead our group and handle everything. He explained to us that his father is a tour leader as is his older brother. He is knowledgeable and sensitive and was completely in charge all the time. And most important…he listens.
I have been on seventeen Wild Frontier trips and this is one of my favorites.
Go and see for yourself!

WF produced a very well thought out itinerary. Very efficiently organised, the tour was expertly led by our experienced Italian guide in conjunction with three excellent local guides, one for each country. Hotels were very comfortable, food outstanding, travel very straightforward, and best of all, a lovely group of fellow travellers. It was a privilege to spend time in such an interesting part of the world.

We've used WF for remoter countries where independent travel is harder, due to language or logistics. The Georgia Explorer has a variety of cultural activities and some hillwalking, and importantly everything happened as expected. Guide Zura was excellent; group of 10; good accommodation and food. We had extra nights before and after trip arranged by WF. Highlights included the cookery course; the scenery and hikes in Svaneti; and by chance the Batumi food and music festival (also the bird migration) in late September. WF may not be the cheapest travel company but you get a reliable quality trip.

When we told friends we were going to Uzbekistan they looked very surprised. But what a trip it was stuffed with culture, travel, great food and friendly people. Our Uzbek guide Alex ensured everything ran like clockwork and our faces never stopped smiling. I would recommend this trip to anybody wishing to get a taste of Central Asia and the Silk Road.
