This was my 9th trip with Wild Frontiers, this time to Mongolia "Land of the Great Khan"
This trip was really to a "Wild Frontier". Off road for over 10 days in complete wilderness with virtually no other "tourists". Staying with a local family, visiting and having lunch with Nomad families, and interacting with nomads tending their animals. The gobi desert is stunning.
As always, everything was organised perfectly, and pre departure information accurate. Our Tour leader and our skilful drivers were outstanding, looking after us very well - nothing was too much trouble.
If you like travelling and wilderness you will love this trip but it is not for the faint hearted.
I hope to take part in many more trips with Wild Frontiers as I have had the opportunity to visit many places few people will travel to.

First time with WF - to Algeria. Very good pre-departure information which was entirely honest about the standards of accommodation to be encountered in a less travelled to destination. Excellent guide and driver. Above expectation and enjoyed the trip immensely.

I went on the Mongolia: Land of the Great Khan trip with Wild Frontiers. The trip and itinerary were well planned and allowed us to see a good variety of landscapes as well as historical exhibits to get a real feel for the country. Our tour guide (Shuri) was fantastic and as well as being super-organised and taking care of us extremely well she had a wealth of knowledge about the country and and was seemingly able to answer any question we threw at her! She is also an expert archer and provided us a demonstration of this as well as an insight into what the traditional nomad lifestyle is like. I'd also like to give a shout-out to our three drivers who were great guys and navigated us through the tricky terrain with assurance. Overall a very memorable trip and I would certainly recommend Wild Frontiers based on the positive experience I had.

We recently enjoyed a trip to Pakistan. What a fantastic country with spectacular scenery and warm friendly people. Although there was some conflict at the time we always felt safe with our local guide who updated us and explained the situation. The accommodation ranged from wow to basic but all comfortable. The days in the mountains in the jeeps was an adventure and the Kalash village festival put a permanent smile on your face. We loved this unspoiled country.

We were very impressed with all aspects of our Uzbekistan trip. This was our first visit to Central Asia and with W F. who were very well organised from the initial set of information through every stage of the trip. Our guide, Ildar, was excellent in both his daily management of our itinerary and the knowledge of his country which he shared with us. All accommodation was very good, and we found 12 to be just the right number of people to travel with. We would certainly recommend WF to anyone who has a taste for adventure.

This was my second trip with Wild Frontiers. This time we did the trip to Japan (Land of the Wild Samurai). Wild Frontiers did not disappoint! The trip was well planned, and we had a FANTASTIC guide. I highly recommend Wild Frontiers for anyone who wants to get off the beaten path a little bit and see the countryside and experience the culture.

We chose Wild Frontiers for our tour of Albania as they had additional interests in the itinerary as well as the UNESCO sites. We particularly liked having two walks and two boat trips. The itinerary was well planned with excellent hotels, all clean with modern bathrooms but a range of types from mountain Lodges, through local hotels to a very luxurious 5 star one night with views to die for. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic and his bringing to life of the time of communism was enlightening. The driver was charming and very safe! The group was a perfect size at 10 (originally 12 ).

This was our second Wild Frontiers trip - this time to Egypt. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The local guide was very good, knowledgeable and friendly. We especially like the opportunity to see a bit of local culture as well as 'the sights'. We extended our stay and WF arranged some extra trips and accommodation for us - we'd definitely go with Wild Frontiers again.

I must say how impressed I was with my first Wild Frontier trip - so well organised , so smooth with so many moving parts to put in place - such a hard working & caring guide there throughout . I have done corporate trips over the years but this was really impressive from up to date vehicles , great restaurant choices & a clever itinerary that covered a lot - exhilarating indeed !

My first trip with Wild Frontiers and it was fantastic. Our guide Ildar was so knowledgeable and really made Uzbekistan come alive, explaining the history, customs and future hopes of the country. The trip went smoothly and was well organised. I couldn't fault it. Wonderful sites, medieval cities and interesting fast-paced modern cities. Good mix of desert, homestay in an oasis in the middle of the desert, friendly camels (!) good, comfortable hotels and great food. Group size of 12 was great and we all got on really well.

Had an amazing trip around 4 cities on the Silk Road in Uzbekistan with a superb group of fellow travellers and a fantastic guide, Bek.
The pre-trip information was detailed and accurate and all aspects of the itinerary were tailored to meet the needs of the group on the day.
Wild Frontiers are a highly recommended tour company and I would have no hesitation in using them again.

I recently returned from a trip to Albania with Wild Frontiers. It was a great trip, the itinerary was well thought through, we had lots of different types of activities all of which were interesting and enjoyable, yet I never felt hurried or rushed. Our guide was good humoured, accommodating and knowledgeable. We had the same driver throughout the trip he was a careful driver and I always felt safe with him at the wheel. Our fellow travellers were lovely and we had a great deal of fun and laughter . I would be happy to recommend both Wild Frontiers and Albania.

I have just returned from a trip to Algeria with Wild Frontiers, which was fabulous. Our guide was excellent and stayed with us throughout the trip. We really got to know the country and culture, something which Wild Frontiers do exceptionally well. I'm looking forward to travelling with Wild Frontiers again soon.

Just returned from a WF Silk Roads tour of Uzbekistan and we really enjoyed it. The tour planners gave us all the right information and the itinery was well thought out. The guide was excellent and well informed, the accomodation and travel well planned and of course, the country and its treasures spell binding.

I visited Uzbekistan with Wild Frontiers and had an excellent trip.
We visited 4 different cities and learned something new about the history of the country every day. Our guide Alex was incredibly knowledgeable and very helpful.
Most meals were included and the food was very good. Our hotels were all centrally located and were very comfortable and clean.

We were keen to visit Albania, but daunted by the idea of organising a trip which would include everything we wanted to see - mountains, archaeology and modern history, literally from one end of the country to the other. We’re so pleased that instead we opted for a Wild Frontiers tour, which took in everything on our list and so much more. Travelling in a small group (12), with an expert driver and a brilliant guide, we experienced, learnt and thoroughly enjoyed so much! Comfortable transport, stylish (and varied) hotel accommodation and fabulous food really enhanced the trip and our fellow travellers were a joy. We also greatly appreciate Wild Frontiers’ efforts to support responsible and sustainable tourism, working with reliable and like-minded local colleagues. Heartily recommend both the trip and the company and hope to travel with Wild Frontiers again.

My first trip with Wild Frontiers was amazing. I spent a week in Georgia travelling round with a great group of 12 and a friendly and extremely knowledgeable guide. Everything was well organised, food was fantastic (all included in the trip price) and accommodation was great. Will definitely travel with WF again and recommend them to others.

This 9 day trip on Uzbekistan's silk road was a fantastic tour. Covered four cities. A knowledgeable guide, wonderful boutique hotels and awesome food. Highly recommend it.

Wild Frontiers chooses its destinations, guides, and activities with great care. Its small groups and knowledgeable guides create in-depth experiences far beyond the capability of most organized tours. On my three Wild Frontiers trips, I have learned about history and culture, gotten out into nature, eaten well, rested comfortably, and had a wonderful time.

I recently finished a Wild Frontiers tour of Tunisia. I saw and learned more than I ever imagined when I originally signed up to go. Other tour companies I’ve traveled with have all done a nice job of giving you the basics about what you are seeing. But the major difference I’ve found with Wild Frontiers is on their trips they always take the extra steps to ensure that you really gain a genuine understanding of the people and places you are visiting. I have traveled six times with them and have never been disappointed. I’m looking right now for my next trip with them!
