I recently had the pleasure of dealing with Wild Hunter, and I felt it was important to leave a review to highlight just how positive my experience was.

From the very beginning, the level of service I received was excellent. The team were knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely interested in helping me find exactly what I needed. It wasn’t just a simple transaction—they took the time to understand my requirements and offered helpful advice without any pressure.

What really stood out to me was how accommodating and professional everyone was. Nothing felt like too much trouble, and they went out of their way to ensure I was completely satisfied. It’s clear that customer care is a priority for them, which is something that can be hard to find these days.

Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my experience. The combination of great service, a friendly and helpful team, and a smooth, hassle-free process makes Wild Hunter a business I would highly recommend to others.

Wildhunter the best store in the country

Bought some fishing gear from these guys online and I have to say the service was great from start to finish. Everything arrived on time and the quality of the stuff was great. We were passing through athlone a few weeks later and popped in to see the new store. The shop is huge and there was so much stuff to choose from. fishing gear, camping gear, hunting gear, even Kayaks. I could of stayed there all day but the wife wasn’t having it. The lads in the store were very knowledgeable and helped me with a few more purchases on the day. Highly recommend Wildhunter.

I have been into Wildhunter lots of times. The lads in the shop are always very friendly and helpful. Very knowledgeable. Huge selection of stock in store. Highly recommend

Terrible quality and terrible service

I bought a pair of what I thought were good wellies for my son and I called the store where the lad gave me a wats app number to send a picture of the wellies to them where he said they would decide if they were faulty so when I did this they said then that I’d have to send them back at a cost to me which I don’t feel is worth it by the time I pay for this faulty items should either be refunded or replaced I’ve dealt with many companies and once they see the picture they just replace so this was new to me they do take a long time to get back to you also!!! I will never shop on this website again I have a farm and have bought cheaper wellies that have never ripped the way these did baring in mind these were for a child!!extremely unhappy….

It was your member of staff who told me that and to be honest there could not be wear and tear issue with a child’s wellie boot that they wore for 4 months so they are faulty I won’t be returning them I’d rather loose the money than deal with a company like yourselves who doesn’t know what the other one is doing :-)I will purchase wellies elsewhere where they appreciate my business :-)

Thanks for your review — we’re very sorry to hear that the wellies didn’t last as expected, especially for a child.

We do want to clarify that, as a business, we have to follow a returns and inspection process before issuing any replacement or refund. Unfortunately, we’re not in a position to send out replacements based on photos alone, as we need to physically assess items to confirm whether a fault is due to a manufacturing issue or wear and tear.

We try to make this as straightforward as possible for customers. Returns can be arranged through our website, where you can book an An Post label for collection from your address or drop-off at your local post office:

We understand this may feel inconvenient, and we’re sorry for that, but this process ensures we handle all claims fairly and consistently.

New shop which looks lovely, staff are very nice and helpful. They also have the online store which has fast delivery, typical takes 4 or 5 days. All round very pleased 😃

Thermal binoculars

Hi Brian thank you for responding to my review but the issue with the thermal binoculars was first brought to the shop’s attention back in December 2025 we are now in April of 2026 and it is only now that you have responded to me after I left a bad review. And still the issue was not resolved. I spend a lot of money on shooting hunting and fishing gear and unfortunately I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future

Thank you for your follow-up.

At the time this issue was raised, we were advising customers in line with the manufacturer’s warranty process, which directed cases like this to be handled directly by HIKMICRO. Unfortunately, in your case, this did not happen as it should have and led to the back-and-forth you experienced. We’re very sorry for the frustration this caused.

We have since clarified the process with the supplier to ensure this is handled correctly going forward and that customers receive a clear and efficient resolution.

Following our recent conversation, we understand the unit is no longer available. Without the product, we are unable to proceed with inspection, warranty claim, or replacement, which limits what we can do at this stage.

We do regret how this situation has unfolded and appreciate your feedback.

If I could give no star i would

If I could give no star i would ordered gun safe arrived late not safe i ordered with keys snapped off in locks left in during postage sent emails but no replies rang shop told to send pics but then again no reply called shop again was told to replace keys myself by Ian all while I was waiting on safe for gun license to be approved 4 weeks later still waiting for reply

I’m really sorry to read this and for the frustration caused.

That’s not the experience we want any customer to have, especially when you’re waiting on a safe for something as important as a licence application. Receiving the wrong item and with damage on top of that is not acceptable.

I’m also concerned to hear about the lack of follow-up after you sent photos, as this should have been progressed quickly once received. I have asked Ian to contact you directly to help get this resolved as soon as possible.

If you haven’t heard from us shortly, please contact the shop again and we will prioritise this for you.

Disappointing experience with this…

Disappointing experience with this shop. Bought my husband €200 wellies for Christmas. Got a size too big. Sent them back clearly untouched in the same box and packaging but over the return time. They wouldn’t send back a smaller size / store credit / anything. Felt a bit ‘peaked cap syndrome’. Won’t use again.

Ongoing good service & quick deliveries

I have used this online store several times in the past years, the last time a few days ago when I bought a Westin W4 rod (Order #234210). Great service and prompt delivery as always. Congratulations for the continuity of this good standard and for the recent 1st place in the pike tournament on Lough Ree :). See you there next year.

A1 shop and website

A1 shop and website. Purchased lamp in December and had problems with charging,returned to them via post and they sent me out a new one.i dealt with Owen Connaughton he rang and emailed me few times make sure problem was dealt with he was a pure gentleman. Thanks Owen

This review is not a fair reflection on this situation and our customer service. You purchased a slingshot from us and broke it after using it. You then changed your story claiming it arrived broken. We offered you replacement bands but you demanded a full refund and got nasty on the phone which wasn't acceptable, despite you breaking the slingshot as you orginally mentioned.
