Promised $8 discount was missing. 10 emails to complete 1 order
Wild Zora makes organic freeze dried Paleo foods, soups, etc.
I ordered from their website. I was promised an $8 discount for receiving an e-newsletter, which is somehow "not spam." I put through an order, agreeing to the newsletter/spam. No discount. That makes a poor first impression.
All marketing email is spam and is hated. Why do that to people? 1/3 off was too much to turn down, but I was planning to delete the newsletter spam and unsubscribe as soon as possible. Then they reneged!
Instead of fooling with "newsletters" and discounts that you don't honor, get basics right and don't make false promises.
Update:
One day later, they say I have been refunded the $8, probably due to my emails? No explanation for this not happening earlier.
There are now 10 communications between me and them to make one order. 6 emails from them and their payment processor which may be Shopify going by the name Rebuyer? Confusing. Whoever that is made me click on something to confirm my email AND fill in a code they sent me on a text.
One of their emails may be their newsletter. It is totally spam.
