The whole bad experience was absolutely…

The whole bad experience was absolutely dreadful not even worthy of one star around the six o clock time 3 of us ordered what was supposed to be edible food thats a joke in itself a truly disgusting rank pile of nastiness was presented to us the burger was overcooked the bacon was well and truly burned both other meals were chard sausages and bendy's were like overcooked pieces of wood the eggs were more like an ice hockey puck luckily i did not have tea both other two complained it was tasteless and not even hot I honestly think the chef was totally out of his league and unable to cook toast I do not like Mc Donalds but rate it 100 times better than the mess we were served I also noticed the staff were wearing street clothes not uniforms this is a sad demise of a once quality burger house.
my next call will be food hygiene/trading standards
Orpington high street avoid like the plague

Wimpy Hornchurch…

I have been eating at Wimpy Hornchurch 5,6 times a year for the last 20 years but never again. Young, rude and inexperienced staff and a chef/ manager who was not mangling them properly. Our experience was tainted by one female 'customer' who was well known to the 3 members of staff and who acted as a total distraction to what they should have been doing ie serving customers. Being there as paying customers we were clearly interrupting their social lives! The female would take a bottle of cleaning spray and spray various surfaces, much to the amusement of the staff who were then mucking about wiping up the excess spray. She also took herself behind the serving/cooking area; this must constitute a health and safety concern. Such as shame it has always been a good place to pop into for a bite to eat when shopping in Hornchurch.

Horrible

Horrible, tasteless burger meat and limp fries. Honestly, there really is no need to sell cheap, tasteless patties when you are charging these prices. Very disappointing.

Manager required in Eastbourne

The staff at Eastbourne are too young unimpressionable couldn’t care less about the customers. Customers were left standing at the door no smiling from the staff there didn’t seem to be anyone in charge? They were talking to each other instead of serving, there was no interaction at all I believe they need an adult manager in charge it was an uninviting shambles

Food was cold

Food was cold - when I complained the staff asked me if I wanted him to microwave my egg! Absolute shambles!

The food is truly terrible

The food is truly terrible. My 9 item breakfast had 8 items and all were literally swimming in grease. Left me with an upset stomach for the rest of the day. Truly dire and would rather eat out of bins than ever eat here again as moldy bin food would be more nutritious and tasty than their stuff.

Appalling food

We visited Eastbourne Wimpy branch. I didn’t want to eat here but my partner had fond memories from childhood so I gave in. Wish I’d stuck to my gut instinct because it was the worst food I’d eaten in a very long time. I took one bite from burger and nearly threw up it was that rancid. I left the rest and tried the fries, again awful, bland, tasteless limp offerings. My partner left his as well and was really disappointed at the change and quality .We paid £26 for our “meal” which was way overpriced . Five Guys are the same price and their food far superior in taste and quality..and unlimited drinks too. Young man who served us was lovely though. We will never go back.

Service is beyond shocking

Service is beyond shocking. Food just sits under the warmers, drinks left to go cold on the counter. When I asked to order after waiting fifteen minutes (there were four tables in) I got a snotty nosed kid mumble under her breath something and just ignore my request. The two staff have plenty of time to drink their own drinks though as food sits in the warmer Shocking beyond belief!

The place was clean and the staff was…

The place was clean and the staff was great and it was quite full. My wife and I had burgers and a side of the chicken strips to share. The food was cooked fresh to order and the buns was toasted which was a nice touch. The minus points for me was the actual quality of the burgers, they didn't have a steak or beef taste and didn't come close to McDonald's or Burger King. If Wimpy can source a better quality of burger then this would be a place you'd go to regularly rather than just once every few years for a nostalgic experience.

Horsham

Sat 11 May 2024 - I just had the most frustrating experience at my favorite breakfast spot. I show up at 16:40, website & google maps say they close at 18:00, store window says the same. But when I try to sit down, server says they close at 17:00. Showed him proof but he said no and abruptly kicked me out. Went back 10 mins later to take a pic of the sign, but it was gone! Like, why advertise one time and mean another? Do you not want my business anymore? 😒
Update: Sun 12 May 2024 - So walking past today and windows sign has returned and they were closed at 15:30. #customerdisservice #falseadvertising #latebreakfastwoes #may24 #notcool

For ten quid

For ten quid, thought would get something at least partially edible. But the quarter pounder was the worst I've ever tasted. Bland and soggy. Way too much sauce. More like a truck stop burger and that's doing a disservice to truck stop places. No wonder there aren't many wimpys left.

We’ve been going to Wimpy for many…

We’ve been going to Wimpy for many years. It has been rebranded- yesterday will be the last time we go there. Overpriced and awful food. We always have the Wimpy Grill - it was awful! They’ve changed the hot dog sausage. It was inedible. Such a shame as we used to look forward to going there. The staff are so surly - not even a thank you when I paid £28+ for two meals and two drinks. Don’t think it will survive.
