These lawyers are incompetent thieves. Not only did they ignore me for two months after taking my money, they told me they couldn’t perform the service originally hired to perform. Then, due to their inability to correctly do their jobs, realized they could perform the services after 3 employees told me that I’ll be receiving a refund next week. I have since been ignored for 2+ months. They stole my $950 from me and are now ignoring me. I am filing a formal Bar complaint as well as BBB complaint against every partner in the firm in every state they practice law. I’ve never experienced anyone conducting business this poorly. Completely avoid these crooks.

Had a lot of concerns but decided to move forward with taking a chance. I wasn't eligible for Expungement but was told I was eligible for Gun Rights Restoration. I reached out to Wipe Record in mid January 2023. They had the petition to the courts The first week of March (2 months later). I had a court date for a hearing the first week of June. That hearing went surprisingly well and the judge granted my petition for relief from weapons disability. Within 2 days of the judge signing the letter, I had a letter from the courts. My experience included a bar fight from more than 20 years ago. I had no prior's or anything since. Stephen at Wipe Record has been awesome to deal with and has been available for communication and very responsive. There are a few areas I think the company could approach to help out after the fact. For example, having a sheet for people with favorable outcomes describing how to answer questions when applying for a gun at a gun store or on a CCW application? How long it takes for everyones systems to be updated? Theres a lot of questions I have and Stephen is currently looking into this now for me and I look forward to those answers. I just wanted to share my experience since there's a bit of negative reviews. I paid in full at the very beginning, am from Ohio and kept notes from the first phone call. But 6 months later and Im staring at a judges signature on a form that states "and is restored to all civil firearm rights to the full extent enjoyed by any citizen...".

So, I received a reply to this review on August 10th, requesting that I email them since they cannot discuss my case over the Internet. Six days later, I have yet to receive a response to the email. It is clear something is wrong with them, as evidenced by their failure to respond or communicate for close to one year now.
I think the people leaving 5 stars must be friends or family members of employees or the employees themselves. I paid this company to have my record expunged in August 2021. First, the problem was COVID and the courts not responding to them, then this company stopped responding. The last time I spoke to anyone there was October 2022, supposedly the paralegal handling my case stated the paperwork was filed with the NJ State Police in April of 2022. This company is unprofessional and unethical, they had a change in management and employees. The paperwork was never filed anywhere it's all lies. They continue to advertise and seek out their next prey to steal money. I've called, emailed, and texted they do not respond and even block my number. How I know is I texted from another number and received a confirmation. I hope something is done about their unethical practices. I hired another attorney to actually do what they were paid to do.

4000+ dollars and still haven’t heard from anybody, literally this is the most unprofessional business I’ve ever dealt with in my life. I need answers and I need answers now.

My husband paid $3000 back in November 2022. There has been no progress in his case and no one will answer when he calls. He has waited close to 3 hours on 3 phones at one time trying to reach them. At this point I just want my money back!

They did it !!! I’m 100% record cleared. Took a bit longer than I expected, but that was probably due to the fact of the courts and sooo many people doing the same thing. FYI it was almost 2 years waiting for this news but well worth it! Thanks WipeRecord

Do not use these people..They are innovators in incompetence and masters of negligence..They are the worst mistake you could possibly make ..Been dealing with being ghosted..I paid in full in April of 2021..It took them them over a year to even file the petition for non disclosure. I had to call and talk to one of their people in May -2022 to get them to finally file the petition that I paid to have filed in April of 2021..Today June 16th 2023 I find out my petition was approved by the DA and ready to be sent to the Judge ..The DA sent the paperwork to my assigned paralegal and Attorney listed on my file...This guy is either an incompetent clown or just doesn’t care what happens to the clients that already paid in full..The District Attorneys office sent me my file and it looks like I will end up having to complete this on my own..It is disgusting that any company could drop the ball every single time..I have had to push every step of the way and was still ignored..This will be updated daily to document how little this still matters to them..I have a phone appointment with one of their people 6-23-23.. I have to say at least someone answered the phone today..I am calling the 9th county court tomorrow to see if they are willing to let me proceed on my own because I have such little faith in this shady Wiperecord organization to follow through on anything.6-21-23 update..Today I spoke with the 9th county courts office and was able to send them my file from the District Attorneys office in Bexar county..The person I spoke with said the Judge should be able to sign and approve my petition in a few days..This was supposed to have been taken care of by Wiperecord almost 14 months ago after it was approved by the District Attorney..I wasted every penny spent on this firm and ended up making all contact with the courts on my own..Some agency or authority really needs to look into this company because they take your money and do nothing..I will post next update once the order is signed by the judge..This process can be done by a normal citizen without having to deal with a shady law firm like these clowns..Case closed now and my record is sealed..Every step in orogress had to be initiated by me.

SCAM, Nothing happened, and lack of communication.

I am writing this correspondence to express my utmost dissatisfaction with the services that I have been provided over the past two years. Upon engaging your firm to manage my expungement case, I anticipated a professional approach, efficient communication, and visible progress. However, I am deeply disappointed to report that none of these expectations have been met.

Contrary to your claims of the New Jersey courts being heavily backed up, which you have used as an explanation for the lack of progress in my case, I have received contrary information from reliable sources. A close relative of mine, who is a Deputy Chief in a New Jersey town, has conferred with a Judge acquaintance. They have both independently confirmed that the two-year delay you cite is not consistent with standard judicial timelines.

This discrepancy between your assertions and the input from my contacts, coupled with the absence of significant progress in my case, leads me to question the credibility of the service I have received from your firm.

I have been patient thus far, but I am compelled to state that if a satisfactory resolution is not forthcoming, I will be considering further legal action to address my grievances. It is my strong preference, however, to resolve this matter amicably.

Therefore, I kindly request a full refund of the fees paid, as the services promised have not been delivered. I anticipate a swift and satisfactory response from your end to avoid the escalation of this issue. I am about to report them to the BAR assiciation.

I hired them for an expungement in California to get my gun rights back. I found them from a random google search and i'm VERY glad I did! They were not only able to expunge my felony, but they got it reduced down to a simple misdemeanor and completely dismissed in court. I also got my gun rights back (even with our HORRIBLE anti-gun governor!) Now I can finally teach my grandson how to hunt! I highly recommend wiperecord!

Its a scam. I've had a firearm restoration petition going with them for over 3 years now. They don't answer their phones, they dont answer texts or emails. They scheduled hearing dates and never showes up to them, never informed me that there was even going to be a hearing. Canceled hearings based on "me still being on parole" when ive been off parole for over 3 years. When you do get to talk with them they are full of excuses, lies etc. I've talked with former employees from there that confirm its a clown show, they probably have thousands of clients theyve screwed over. Just so yourself a favor and hire somebody local. Also if these people have scammed you like they have me, contact the bar and complain. They shouldn't be able to practice law anymore.

The first 6 months went great,phone calls and emails were returned in a timely manner. It's been almost 2 years and my case hasn't gone anywhere. I've heard from them maybe 4 times the past year and now I can't even log onto the client portal and emails get no response. I'm starting to believe they are a scam and I'm gonna pursue them to get my money back.

UPDATE
Well as I said previously I've had no contact with my paralegal or anyone from Wiperecord since January. Today I went online and saw my case was presented to the court in February and it was heard in April and a dismissal was granted on 5/10/23. I'll raise my rating to 4 Stars but would still advise people to be careful.

Total scam. Paid them $2500 in 2018 and still no results and no communication for the past 6 months. When they used to answer calls, you would have a different client rep every time because turnover is so high. Nowadays, their client portal doesn't load. They don't respond to voicemail messages. And their phone line never connects to a human. Are they even in business? Do not do business with this company. They are useless

Worst firm I've ever seen. Lawyer failed to show for two appearances in a row! The lawyer that they gave me got the case the weekend before my case and I spoke with him minutes before it went in front of the judge. The only time they were interested in talking to me is when they wanted payment! Incompetence and lies my whole time dealing with them. Needless to say I lost my case due to extreme negligence on their part. Was unable to introduce evidence on my behalf because it wasn't certified. They had 3 years to prepare (2 years too long) and not being able to produce my defense was a direct result in the verdict. $3000 later, and many stressful nights later, I can't even appeal the case because of my disastrous representation. Stay far away!!!

My review parrots 2/3rds of the reviews I have read about wipe records. They are a scam. I paid them $1,200.00 outright the same day I initially called them. 5 months in and I have continuously been ghosted. Calling the Travis county sheriff's office, Austin city police, and the Texas state police about wipe records criminal scam is a waist of time also. They will mine you for your information and then make sure you have no warrants and then you'll never hear from them again. Wipe records is absolutely a scam. It's horrible that they can get away with this.

Happy to report I'm no longer considered a "felon". Wiperecord helped represent me in my record sealing case. Good communication and good experience. Price was affordable and I appreciated the no-interest pmt plan.

Rights finally restored in my home state of Indiana. So thankful to Taylor and the entire team for helping me achieve this. Highly recommend WipeRecord. Service is great as are the people.

It's been close to 2 yrs now and am no further then when I hired them. I am very disappointed that thus is the practice. I spent over 2,000.00 on this to get done. When I do finally get to talk to someone my case is waiting on lawyers review. That has been this way for 8months now. This is totally unprofessional.

It would be less than 1 star if option was available!! Lied to and ignored for over 4 years. And when the incompetent people finally filed for a hearing they never served the parties involved , then took a year of being ignored and lied to again, to get them to refile and that got screwed up, promised that it would be re-filed in 3 days, and was lied to and ignored again! I wouldn’t hire this company to represent me for a parking ticket!! And I can prove all that I claim, e-mails , phone calls, call logs.

I start this review saying that i have given wipe record all the patience one could ask for. i started my journey with wipe record in October of 2020. At the time of onboarding i told all my info but still didnt know if I was eligible so i at first thought not to go through with the $1000 price tag. The person who was on the phone said for $300 he would be able to do the background to make sure my record could be expunged. If it could the 300 would be deducted from the 1000 and i would pay the remainder $700. the very next day i get a call like yes your good pay the 700 and well get started. I paid and I waited for my results .... May 17 I received a email from Wiperecord who was my paralegal at the time saying i needed to get a letter notarized and send my finger print card. on aug 11 i had a new para legal @Wiperecord who at the time was very nice and told me she would handle it from here. She didnt get the finger prints so i had to do the same process all over again.
since then i have talked to wiperecord on 1/26/22, 6/10/2022, 3/29/2023 with limited info and no progress as of this review. Havent been able to get on the portal to see any progress it just gives me the waiting wheel on any and every computer i try and log on with and trying to book time with wiperecord through the email link takes me to a page that says "No times are currently available.

Please contact the person you would like to schedule with." now michigan is doing the set-aside automatically i feel i have been dooped and strung along till it was to late to ask for a refund. I thought it was a scam before i started this and now i want to make sure no else falls for it like i did.

I updated my experience from a 1 to a 2 for the most part i just wanted to see and hear some kind of of update i did receive a text stating we were close and a contact to reach out to I will update with any further progress
Final update: I was Definitely scammed just like most of you who are On here... if you are reading this. Just don't do it... find a different solution .. hire a real attorney in your area. I been strung along for years... just to be told nothing... they use the same lines over and over again. Now you can't even access the website 😒 . I give up you win you stole my money and it's been too long to even fight about it. That's disgusting and you reap what you sow...

At first they were responsive. That was over two years ago. Their website login doesn't even work any more. How can a company just take your money and not respond? I definitely deserve a refund this is ridiculous. I would not use them again
