You will experience multible times that things dosnt work or cannot be approved at the moment.
I have been in the business for a decade with many many app and this is the worst.
1. Its NOT easy to navigate
2. Difficult to get help fast
3. Many features just take TOO long to set up
I now remember WHY I dischose this poor company LONG ago :-)
Advise: Hire educated and experienced experts to make your app easy and fast. Your idear is nice but you have NO clue about customer service and setups.

Bought Wirex shares back in 2020 for the perks on the app and card. Few weeks later app blocked, account closed on me. All they said was we have closed your acc. When asked why was told they don't have to tell me why so they not going to, then they stopped replying. Now stuck with £1000 in shares I still can't even sell 5 years on. Avoid like the plague. Wont even answer emails or support requests 5 yrs down the line TOTAL SCAMMERS!!!!!!

I am extremely disappointed with Wirex. My cryptocurrency balances in BTC, ETH, XLM, and LTC have been completely depleted to zero through a series of "Service Fees" that I consider abusive and non-transparent.
In July 2025, Wirex seized the remaining total of my BTC, ETH, and XLM balances in a single transaction. For example, my BTC fee jumped from 0.00007 BTC to 0.00868 BTC just to leave my balance at zero. My LTC was also fully liquidated.

Wirex unfairly deducted ~USD$2,500 (WXT 9670 & BTC 0.020684) from my account as "storage fees"! Started in February 2025, charged monthly for 9 months until everything was completely drained by November 2025. ZERO proactive contact during the entire period: They claim a 30-day email notice was sent (per T&C), but I never received it – searched inbox/spam thoroughly, nothing. Notifications enabled in app? No push. Phone number provided? No SMS or call. This resulted in the funds being wiped out without my awareness!
After formal complaint, support's final response: "Database shows email sent + read T&C" – refund refused. As a regulated platform, they failed to make reasonable efforts to notify (ignoring app push and SMS despite having them). Many users report the same: accounts slowly drained without awareness.
AVOID Wirex for long-term holdings! Withdraw everything now or risk losing it all. Demand full refund of deducted crypto (~US$2,500 equivalent!) Worst experience – stay away!

This failed to make reasonable efforts to ensure I was aware of the impending significant loss (~US$2,500 in WXT 9670 & BTC 0.020684), especially as a regulated platform under consumer protection principles.
Please provide:
Full evidence of the alleged 30-day email (timestamp, sender, recipient, subject, content, delivery proof).
Confirmation why app push/SMS were not used despite availability.
I request a full refund of the deducted amount. If unresolved, I will escalate to your regulator and continue public reviews.
Update (16 Jan 2026): Wirex claims emails sent in 2022 & 2025 but provides no evidence. 2022 notice irrelevant; still no receipt. Demand proof or full refund.

Wirex continues to evade the core issue—that they made no reasonable effort to contact me despite having my enabled app notifications and phone number on file, completely ignoring their responsibility as a regulated platform to ensure effective notification. I bought Bitcoin twice on Wirex and also deposited BTC. All transactions have been fully confirmed on the blockchain for over three weeks. The funds were swept to Wirex-controlled wallets, but my BTC balance has still not been credited.
I have an open support ticket and multiple follow-ups. The only response I receive is that “the relevant team is looking into it,” with no resolution or timeline after more than 3 weeks. This is not a blockchain issue.
Holding confirmed Bitcoin for this long without credit or clear communication is unacceptable. I am requesting immediate escalation and manual credit of my BTC. Ticket #[6283504]

This is clowning and madness. For a transaction of 35 USDС, they charge a 29% commission, which is 10 USDС. Avoid these scammers. It's good that I didn't make the payment as planned for 10,000 usdc, they would have stolen all my money and forced me to correspond with their support for two years. I submitted a request to delete my account, and as it turned out, this also took a long time.

After some initial teething problems, I am now enjoying using the newly upgraded app. I had a problem initially because I transferred my funds in USDT which is not supported, so really this was my fault for not checking. However, now I exchange for USDC before transferring and this completes very quickly. The customer services were very helpful and recovered the funds to my account within about 2 weeks. The only thing I think they need to improve is quicker responses to issues....it would be useful if they enabled an instant chat service because it can be worrying when things don't go smoothly with regard to finances.

Wirex is a great exchange company for vacations or shopping abroad. I do not recommend using this company as a traditional bank or cryptocurrency wallet. It is recommended to spend what you load. Do not load more than 100 USD so that you do not lose your finances during the transaction due to blocking or verification. Otherwise, it is good for spending, I like their multi-card that supports many currencies. Unfortunately, their bureaucracy is excessive.

It’s a shame you can’t give fewer stars, because they deserve it. Everything—absolutely everything—needs to be verified. You top up the account with €10, 24-hour verification; you withdraw €10, verification again. Any action makes you waste time. Even deleting the account requires verification. I’ve been writing countless messages for a month because I want the account deleted and for them to forget about me, but no—every time they say it’s “in process.” More than thirty days have passed since the first request and the account is still active, and the spam and notifications keep coming. Now you’ll tell me to email support—you already have more than 15 emails. Check them and delete my account!
