We’re really sorry for the frustration this caused. We understand how upsetting it is to run into issues updating your payment method, especially when it results in unexpected fees.
To clarify, Cherry accepts bank-issued debit cards with no fee and credit cards with a 2.99% processing fee for the down payment. For monthly payments, you can also use an ACH bank account, which has no fees and can be updated anytime at consumer.withcherry.com. In addition, HSA, FSA, and other benefit cards aren’t supported on our platform.

After I paid my loan in full
After I paid my loan in full, my credit score dropped 32 points. I called the credit bureau and it was because of the Cherry Financing account closed. I am very angry about this as I work very hard to maintain an excellent credit score.
Advice to everyone is to check your credit after you pay off your loan.
