I consider myself incredibly tech saavy, I work in tech, and this was one of the most challenging user interfaces I have ever tried to navigate. There is WAY too many options, drop downs, no cent... See more

CH was incredible and very kind. He was able to help me with my issue very fast! Give him a raise!!!
Online free service very very glitchy. Guest list was randomly organized, and hard to work with. Much to my horror, emailed invitations included some other invitees’ Email addresses made fully visible to them, and one person was even able to reply for others on the list! Someone responded for the bride saying she was not coming! Kept losing my prepared invitation and needed to be rebuilt often. Printed invitations did not look professional. Support responses online were helpful but not immediate and could not undo damage already done by their glitches. I only used their invitation services, not the website and other options. Wedding was December 2025.
I'd give zero Stars if I could. Simply put they will find a loophole to keep your money. Their customer facing website said to cancel by 10:00 a.m. to get a full refund I canceled at 9:23 a.m.. we canceled because there's a Cartel War going on in the location we were going down in Mexico which affects the exact area where we would have been staying and travel advisories were put in notice through Airlines in multiple media. At any rate nowhere on their website specified what time zone and we had screenshots of the cancellation page that shows the time and everything which was 9:23 a.m. not 10:23 a.m. but they try to use loophole and say it was a different time zone so they're not going to give us our money back. Stay as far away from this companies you can be robbed us of hundreds and hundreds of dollars
Sadly , there is not a zero rating --it seems I am joining a number of satisfied customers---booked a room on Joy in Canada for $199--- turns out was a US site , so they took $278 from my bank , immediately---when I tried to cancel and get money back , they cancelled the room , but informed me the money is non-refundable---so now I am out $278 , with no room ---and it appears the Hampton Inn , St Catherines is in on the scam , because no one will tell me who actually got my money
Invited to a wedding, used the link from the invite which was withjoy.com. Booked the hotel, booking was cancelled by the provider, withjoy.com who refused to refund the stay that THEY cancelled. They even sent a email with the booking confirmation AFTER it was cancelled. After multiple emails, finally they acknowledged that the booking was cancelled and would refund, still waiting for the refund.
withjoy.com = nojoy.com
horrible to use app, userface is all over the place. Constantly refreshes, never saves and always pulls you back to the start.
Absolute scam. booked accom through site, cancelled well before free cancellation date, still took payment and not refunded after 2 weeks.
If I could leave less than 1 star I would. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS SITE. I was married in October and in February I am still dealing with them not fulfilling orders. I had over $450 worth of joy credit from wedding guests because the items they purchased for us were out of stock. For months and months I have checked every single week on their stock. Over 100 emails with their customer service and confirming items were in stock I was ready to place my order. But yet again more items could not be fulfilled. There’s no number to call to hash these things out, it’s just an AI based email system, not real people. So after everything I’ve been through and all the communication back and forth they still cannot deliver items after 4 months of trying. Again DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.
BUYER BEWARE!!!!! We RSVP’d for our nephews wedding and received a confirmation email right away from With Joy, so we decided to check out their options for accommodation reservations. I had thought that I made a reservation for the hotel, but I did not receive a confirmation email. So the following day, I tried again only to find out one day later (still NO reservation confirmation email from With Joy) that we had been charged twice to two different cards. They do not have a phone number, and it’s difficult finding an email link, but we finally found one only to be told that there was no reservation made registered to my email and credit cards. Finally, we get a confirmation that they did find a reservation to k e of my cards, but not the other one - even though both of these charges had been cleared for payment. We were told to use the same booking ID for the one charge to find the other charge so that we could cancel it. We did this, only to learn that the Booking ID was invalid. So, luckily Amex has excellent customer service, AND we can CALL them. They cancelled the charge on their end. I WOULD NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING THROUGH THIS SITE, including a gift.
Everything I added to the registry that is sold through WithJoy is out of stock, something that purchasers are not told until after they have paid. I am then stuck with credit that can only be used on the site, for things that are still out of stock. It is essentially a scam to convert your gift money into company script that cannot be redeemed.
Terrible website builder, terrible RSVP tracking and terrible support. Their system LOST MY RSVPs TO MY WEDDING, just took me back to a blank slate with my guest list in there. INSANE. And their response? Radio silence. I wish I went with one of the paid services, at least they would come with some support. You get what you pay for, I guess.
Used the registry for my baby shower. Trust me there are better options. Do not go this way.
Horrible! Don’t waste your time with this! I bought hundreds worth of gifts for my sister and they never showed up. Their customer service has done nothing to help.
Headline: PREDATORY PRACTICES: Charged $1,085 for a "Ghost" Reservation
Review: DO NOT use WithJoy for hotel bookings. I was charged $1,085.00 for a room at El Cielo Resort for my son's wedding. I realized a mistake and cancelled the booking within 24 minutes.
Despite the wedding being 4 months away, WithJoy is keeping 100% of my money. The most shocking part? I called the hotel directly, and they have no record of my booking. WithJoy took my money, never actually booked the room with the hotel, and is now hiding behind "non-refundable" fine print to pocket over a thousand dollars for 20 minutes of "work."
Their website is designed to trap you. When you click "Modify," it forces you to "Cancel" so they can trigger the forfeiture. They even refused to reinstate my booking when I offered to keep the original dates. They are not a wedding company; they are a predatory middleman.
Warning to Couples: Do not subject your guests to this. Use a reputable travel site or book directly with the hotel. WithJoy’s "Travel Support" is a brick wall designed to keep your money.
Never use this company. Having accepted an invitation to a wedding via Joy I decided to also book a hotel. I decided to add an extra night to my reservation. Joy were incapable of doing this so I tried to add a night online. My reservation was immediately cancelled and I have been told I will receive no refund. I did not cancel my reservation. I am taking this further.
At present this has cost me £2110.00.
I just booked a hotel through their website for my Son's wedding in April of next year. Since I want to stay at the hotel one less night (2 nights instead of 3 that I booked). When I went to their website to modify the booking, the only option I have is to cancel, which I did. When I tried to confirm my refund, since they already charged me $1,085.00, before I rebook again, they told me that I cannot get a refund since I pick a non-refundable rate. I booked and apply for a change within the same day and not even an hour after I booked it. This is a scam. So they think they can get free money. I checked the hotel and they have not even booked me.
I used the linked accommodation service from my nephew's wedding invitation from WithJoy as the prices were better than anything I could find online. When the credit card charge came through I realised why; WithJoy were stating prices for New Zealand accommodation in USD so $277 became a NZ $477 charge. Nowhere on their website do WithJoy identify the currency of their pricing and being for a New Zealand hotel booking(in the same city as the New Zealand wedding) the assumption would be that prices are in NZD. Other guests have been similarly misled.
Emails to WithJoy are being opened promptly according to my email tracking service but no replies happening. My bank isn't able to reverse this charge but will review this in about 10 days with all comm's with WithJoy being considered in regard to a fraud/scam case being pursued.
DO YOUR WEDDING GUESTS A BIG FAVOUR AND AVOID THIS COMPANY.
Terrible registry user interface. Your guests will think they purchased your gift but the website makes it confusing and guests often don’t know to complete the purchase, meaning you don’t actually get your gift. When the guest does complete the purchase, you have to hunt down the gift card in your inbox and you have no idea what keyword to search in your email inbox because the gift card or gift is sent by a third party company and it might go to your spam. It’s just a nightmare. I had a bridal shower in April of 2025 and still haven’t found or have been able to use any of my gift cards.
Avoid with joy at all costs. I used the with joy site to book a hotel room via the hotel room block my friend had listed in the with joy website. I got a confirmation and itinerary number from with joy. Weeks later when my husband and I went to check in we were told no reservation and that with joy had cancelled our reservation. I was charged by with joy immediately when I booked. I was in shock. I received a confirmation email but of course conveniently when with joy cancelled I did not receive a word from them or a refund. They are fraudulent and should be investigated. The hotel ended up having one room left and we had to pay triple the price. With joy dragged on with AI responses for a week and then I did research and saw the horrible reviews! Ended up going through my credit card company to reject the charge. Avoid with joy at all costs.
Update to my previous post. It’s now 15th December and still no response from "Joy" apart from completely useless automated AI messages. American Express are now disputing the hotel charge in my behalf. Joy are utterly shambolic. Avoid at all costs.
