Nice start, but not really workable except for the most basic of freelance businesses
Moxie is better than most offerings of its type, but it has some shortcomings that I found to be hard to manage. There is no way to track document versions well. E-mail linking was not easy at all and I had to delete my connection to Google more than once and re-add before it would work. You need to add a token to every ad hoc email in order to insert your email signature, unless you only use email templates. The interface is very old fashioned looking. Just lots of little things that make it a time waster for me.

Great platform but room improvement
Overall, Moxie is a good platform with useful features, but there’s definitely room for improvement.
Agreements/Contracts:
One limitation I’ve noticed is the inability to customize where fields like signatures and dates are placed in agreements. Currently, the client’s signature can only appear at the top or bottom of the page, which doesn’t work for lawyer-drafted contracts with specific formatting. It would be great if Moxie implemented a drag-and-drop feature for this, similar to DocHub, which offers a much smoother experience for contract customization.
Meeting Scheduler and Taxes:
The meeting scheduler is a fantastic feature, especially with the option to require payment before booking. However, it currently doesn’t allow you to add taxes to the payment total. This is a significant limitation for business owners who are required to charge taxes separately (e.g., in Quebec, Canada). Moxie already supports taxes on invoices when integrated with Stripe, so it would make sense to extend this functionality to the meeting scheduler.
Smart Fields for Contracts:
As of now, there are no smart fields for agreements/contracts, which is surprising for a CRM. The absence of this feature makes automation less efficient, as you need to create a unique contract template for each offer and then manually set up workflows. Adding smart fields would greatly streamline the process of sending contracts and invoices. You can build workflows with conditional logics, but it's more work than if you had smart fields.

Many broken facets of the interface.
Their take on business and flow management is so highly opinionated, however they don't exactly know how to cater to service people. Many aspects of their dark mode are completely broken, making the interface difficult to use without opening Inspector to see tags and errors in the interface. Tasks disappear randomly from their management system, and their time tracking is extremely awkward. They integrate ALL leads in with regular clients, so you cannot have any sort of robust leads or outreach system. Form customizations are laughable at best and they render bad markup which violates ADA compliance. Emails will randomly send, including one test email I sent to a prospect.
Moxie promises so much more than it can capably deliver. If you don't care about your business' look/feel and will only be using a couple minor features of their service, it might be ok. But you'll likely run into broken features all over the place like I (and so many other reviewers) found.

I've been looking for a tool like this for a long time. As a freelancer/solopreneur working internationally I need a way to manage all my projects, clients and admin details for my business without it all becoming too cluttered and scattered.
Also I do bill in different currencies and Moxie has made it truly simple to integrate a multicurrency business like mine :)

Moxie is a perfect all in one package, my favorite feature is the VOIP phone that helps me organize my calls and texts without having another phone.
Ive been using moxie for over a year, and their support is amazing! I asked for a specific area code for my number that wasnt available and the went above and beyond to accomodate my needs.
Their new AI chat is great for quick answers about the software and if that doesnt help ive never needed to wait for more than half a day for an answer.

Moxie replaces multiple softwares and databases for me. I was previously using a database I built myself for project management, a second one for lead development, and a separate billing system for invoices and contracts. Moxie can handle all of these tasks with a higher level of automation, and at a lower cost. The product still feels "young" and rough around the edges in a few areas, but the pace of improvements and the responsiveness of the support team gave me to confidence to make the jump anyway. I'm enjoying customizing my Client Portal and Templates, and already saving tons of time with the Plaid and Google Calendar integrations.
