Very scam adjacent behaviour
I ordered a binder according to their measuring guide, their largest size and it is too small. Customer services is evasive and dismissive, just copying and pasting their returns t&cs. They do not offer refunds, a £33 binder will cost you £7 & £12 to return, so you only get £14 back. They offered me a free exchange, for which they make you pay an EXTRA £12 on top of the original cost so an exchanged £33 binder actually costs you £45. I have written back and forth several times and they are standing firm and just copy and paste a link to their terms of service. Please avoid, it feels like a scam and definitely not aligned with the sort of ethical business practice you might expect a company of this sort to be. I wish I had come and read these reviews and saved myself £33.
Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service. I purchased a binder from this company and when I got it, it did not fit right (length not long enough and arm holes way too small for my measurements). I reached out and requested a refund. I responded to their email within 2 weeks stating I just wanted a refund not an exchange (they charge extra either way). Their response was that it was out of the 30 day window (this is untrue). I let them know it was not outside of the window and they just stopped responding to me. This is the worst experience I've ever had with a company and I would never use them.
Scammers
I am 5’11 and 219lbs. I ordered a swimsuit in a 2x, one size bigger than my usual clothing. Not only did the suit not fit, I couldn’t even get it over my head! In order to request a refund you need to convince the company that you truly require one. My request was denied! They refuse to return my money ($80 after shipping) because they say I should have known to order a 5x for my height and weight! A 5x???? That is insane! I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone! Horrible experience and they will NOT refund your money for any order!
Unexpected Return Fees Resulted in Very Low Refund — Read Policy Carefully
I’m sharing my experience so other customers can make informed decisions before purchasing.
I have previously supported this brand and recently made a purchase totaling approximately $129. Unfortunately, the items did not fit as expected, and when I initiated a return, I learned that multiple restocking and related fees would be applied. After deductions, the refund offered was about $40, which was significantly lower than anticipated.
I contacted customer service to try to resolve the situation and offered to return the items fully, but was told no exceptions could be made under their policy. The only alternative offered was a 20% discount on a future purchase.
While I understand that companies have policies, what felt especially disappointing was the disconnect between the brand’s messaging around inclusivity and customer care and the rigidity of the response I received. I personally am in a position where this loss does not significantly impact me financially; however, many customers may rely on being able to return items without substantial financial loss if sizing or fit does not work out — particularly when purchasing products tied to identity or personal expression.
I would strongly encourage potential buyers to carefully review the return policy and associated fees before purchasing, as the final refund may be significantly lower than expected.
Fraudulent reviews and refuses refunds
I’m 5’5”, pear shaped and plus size (UK16 / 81kg) with an UK32H chest. I ordered an XL in their core tank binder which fits me well in Wivov’s short Flow style (I ordered it along with this tank). I have binders from Underworks usually and wear them daily with ease, getting full compression and good comfort. I ordered Wivov to test a more breathable fabric option. The Flow one I ordered is more breathable and fits better than the tank, but it’s not that suitable for large breasts - either I have pushed-up cleavage line or they’re falling out of the bottom.
Firstly and most importantly, you’ll notice that Wivov has amazing reviews on their website. I kept trying to post my review marked at 1 or 2 stars and it wouldn’t accept the review until I cranked it to five stars (with an all caps opening line explaining why by bad review had five stars). They seem to be dishonest and fraudulently representing their reviews.
The summary: The fit of the tank would possibly be suitable for taller, slimmer, narrower-hipped people. On me, it does not work at all. It was painful to put on and to try to wear, and it looks truly awful. No compression, more like a too-small push up bra. I asked for a refund on the tank only and the company has avoided providing one.
The service: The company rep who responded to my refund request ignored the refund aspect and spent several emails instead pressuring me to exchange the item and demanding my measurements. The company then wanted to charge me almost the entire cost of the item in shipping and a “fee” before they would refund the item. The “refund” offered was less than 20% of the item cost.
The fit: It squashed my breasts into an awkward position, giving a distinct unwelcome cleavage due to too-long straps and baggy points on the top fit, whilst painfully crushing the bottom of my breasts. No amount of readjusting would fix this and due to all the tight, rigid seams, I struggled to move it or get a hand in to readjust anyway.
The design: Even if it fit, it can’t be worn as a tank top because it has a huge visible binder seam along the middle. The seam is extremely tight and rigid which means that it can’t be put on alone and as it’s rough it’s also scraped my skin. The material finish is very shiny and the outer layer of fabric is also much baggier than the under layers, creating visible wrinkles annd clingy, bunching fabric. Visually unappealing especially with the large overlocked central seam.
The bottom is loose and baggy, flaring out slightly from a couple inches below the middle seam, but due to the material it also bunches up and has incredible static cling. It suddenly tightens up at the hem so could only be worn rolled up.
The verdict: I feel this companies’ products show a lack of interest and concern in designing well-fitting plus size and large-chest products, further demonstrated by their near exclusive use of slender white models. The moneygrubbing (exorbitant fees) and rude (high-pressure sales tactics, ignoring ordinary consumer requests) conduct of the business when I asked for a refund means I will never be buying from them again. To avoid giving them any free advertising I’m going to remove all the branding, write up a detailed fit info tag and donate the items I ordered.
The racism: On trying to review them on their website, I also then found that their *only* nude/skin-tone option is peach/caucasian, and this blatant racial exclusion is sad and shocking to see from a supposedly inclusive company. Together with the models used and poor plus-size fit, the company sends a clear message about what type of person they want to wear their products.
A SCAM!!!
A warning for anyone looking for trans friendly swimwear from this company, WIVOV. I paid $89 for two swim tops. I'm incredibly dyslexic, and when measuring myself per their chart, I made the mistake of reading the numbers wrong, that is my fault. But apparently, "if your measurements fall outside our standard size range of XS-6XL and you order a standard size instead of a custom size, we are unable to offer refunds or exchanges. Returned binders cannot be resold."
Which is horse shit, because I haven't even worn them, and I'd have to pay for shipping to return them. So now they just get to KEEP my $89? Even in an accidental scenario, where none of the items have been worn or even tried on, and I would have to pay shipping to return them; they keep my money?
I guess I should have taken, what in retrospect, seems to have been an out, and changed my measurements. I don't have $89 to just give away.
Trying to get a refund is like pulling teeth
I needed to return an item after the recommended size did not fit, however, this company kept avoiding my request and continually directed me to an exchange instead. When they eventually got the message, they stated that it would cost: "£7.00 GBP shipping fee and a £12.00 GBP return fee (£12.00 GBP per item)". I will certainly avoid buying from them in the future.
For this price i really thought i would…
For this price i really thought i would get better quality :( i have a very easy skin with binding tape but this one itches like crazy… :( really disappointed
Long time to arrive and rude
I ordered and according to their page it gets shipped out within two days. Still has not left the sorting facility. It has now been over a week and I got a really shit response summed up as sucks to suck. Rude and shit service
Great website and fair prices
Great website and fair prices! Bought from this website multiple times, definitely my favorite website so far as a trans man.
Their customer service is terrible - stay away
Their customer service is terrible. I made the mistake of ordering before I read reviews. When there was an issue, they were very rude and dismissive. Told me retuned items could not be resold ( this item has not even been take out of its original packaging). Now I know why reviews are so bad. Don't shop with them!!!
DO NOT BUY! Worst binder company.
They are by far, one of the worst companies I've dealt with. Firstly, they do not offer returns. They offer partial returns because they will make you pay the $10 shipping to get to you, & make you pay if you want to return! By far worst fitting binder as well, very visible with a t shirt, really thick material which was very uncomfortable. The product is not what they advertise & they will take $14 per item from the refund.i ordered 2 binders which totaled to $88, while I understand they took 14/per item because I tried it on, should also be noted I was fine with that but I didn't even open the other binder and they are still charging me. I only ordered two because of how expensive the shipping was and made sure the other one stayed completely sealed and untouched.
MONEY GRABBERS
They mention on their website they have a 30 day refund and return policy. What they don’t mention is that they will turn around and say to return it you need to pay $14 as a return fee and an additional $9 shipping fee… which I had to pay for shipping on my original order. When I emailed customer service the rep I spoke to was snarky about the measurements, she tried to get me to exchange it but I still would need to pay the fees. I told her never mind and she followed up with a snarky remark that they do this because it’s similar to underwear being resold and to that I say, how can swimsuits be returned? Idk a company that claims to be one for diversity should care more about their customers and less about how much money they can make off one community. I usually don’t write reviews but this whole experience pissed me off beyond words. I bought this binder for my boyfriend, for his confidence, and to turn around and have to deal with a shitty company like this? Not cool. Enjoy my $57! If anyone wants a shitty binder you can find it at a goodwill :)
If I could give this company 0 I would.
If I could give this company 0 I would.
I ordered the wrong size having messed up one of the measurements.
Got a really snotty response from someone sending me screenshots of their pages stating no refunds for wrong sizes etc... and when I argued I found their size grid difficult to navigate and that I'm dyslexic so I struggled with it anyway I got completely ignored.
Long story short I've been robbed of £30 more or less and these guys are rude and crap.
To charge so much for these binders and then completely refuse a refund or any cooperation on exchanging is just frankly ridiculous.
Do not use this site.
This company have scammed me of £37
This company have scammed me of £37. I ordered a binder from them in June, I spent a WEEK measuring my sizes because of their ridiculous returns policy (I should of just not ordered at all and that should of been a red flag.)
I used their size guide, their size recommender and when the binder came it was huge. It did not fit me at all, even though I used their size chart to their exact measurements.
I then requested a full refund (without the shipping) and they said I had to send it back to them, will have to pay a £7 shipping fee and a £12 return fee. Now if I had ordered the wrong size because I read the measurements wrong I would understand however, this was not the case. I measured myself over and over again.
I then received incredibly snarky responses, giving me a bullet point list of why I was in the wrong. They said that “many customers take incorrect measurements”. I make my own costumes, I know how to use a tape measure, I am not stupid.
They spoke to me like I was an inconvenience, they tried to site that it was due to the Trump administration, which I’m in the UK so why does that apply to me? They then said it shipped from a GB warehouse. So if these fees are because of the trump administration, why should a UK warehouse bare those sorts of charges?
Further more I disputed it with my bank. I then today have been told that the company has then disputed that claim. I am absolutely shocked and appalled by this company behaviour and the fact they can get away with these ridiculous returns policy.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I ordered 3 binders for my daughter, 2 fit and we kept but the third was so insanely small she couldn’t even get both arms through it. I started the process of doing an exchange and had to pay an additional $20 to get a different binder. Customer service said they don’t do exchanges and I should just donate the binder we don’t want. Six weeks and a chain of emails later we NEVER received the new binder and they will NOT refund the extra money I paid to get the new binder. So now I’m out $75 and stuck with a binder that we can’t use. This company is a scam and a ripoff! Same on them for targeting the LGBTQ+ population!!!!
Good Binder and Good Service
This is my first binder, for many reasons. I finally got one, as after a breast tumour removal, I have to wear a bra or my breast goes numb and aches. I just "ignored" my breasts till this, not wearing a bra was fine for me. But bras just make me more aware, uncomfortable and heighten my dysphoria to incredible levels. I looked at a lot of options, I am very sensitive to seams and chafing, I got two products from Wivov, a Core full length tank (CB09) and a Flow half top (CB10). The Flow binder is awesome, I have a firm chest so it's not totally flat but it is definitely defeminising my chest and comfortable. The CB09 didn't fit as expected and was uncomfortable. I contacted the company (Phia), and after 2 or 3 emails, I have a new CB11 coming to me, I just paid shipping, and I can donate the CB09 to a local trans supply charity. Very positive experience.
Bad quality. No company address
The products are in very bad quality and I tried to send them back according to the European law, but nowhere on their website an address for returns is listed.
Second hand websites are full of people reselling those binders because the company won’t take returns.
Been using the tape for over a year but…
Been using the tape for over a year but have noticed a decline in quality. Glue is clearly cheaper and all the whole they are hiking the prices. Very disappointed.
3XL Black Swim Binder
They had discreet packaging on the outside, I got myself a 3XL Swim Binder, and I wear medium shirts with a 31/31 jeans size, it's comfortable and it's practical. I like the swim binders because they allow me to do a bit more manual labor outside while still being able to bind (only for 8 hours of course, take care of yourself you all). Overall I really like their binders, will be purchasing again but in more colors
