scammed

been playing game for 6 years. total waste of money.its sad to say that WOW has followed the same foot steps as WOT.pay to play to get ahead.they give you rewards for completing missions and then later in game make updates and you lose all the rewards you earned. write a ticket to get resolved all you get told is turn in a screen shot. no 1 take screen shots of what has been won. no computer has the space for that. so support is a total waste of time never get resolved or reimbursed.yes there is some entertainment but when you are a winner and you play to win you dont want to be cheated by the game or owners of game. but that is what they do. thing that were free not cost money. in these days no 1 has extra funds for games when the priority is food, gas, rent, medical, and the list goes on

Warships rip-off

Beware. Blatant rip-off. My doubloons dropped from 3120 to 2660 and then from 2660 to 2410 without me purchasing anything. Then when I tried to contact wargaming.com they reckon that my email is not associated with the account. That’s funny, it’s the only one I have and is the email I would have used to begin with so that’s really convenient of them. Steal your doubloons and then make out that the account doesn’t exist at all. All I can say is that this is a load of B S

Rigged

Rigged. You are designated to lose. Again and again.

I complained. And, instantly, my game got better. And then they dialed it back. And then I complained again and, again, it got better. Then it got dialed back, but not so much. Then a teammate of mine revealed who was cheating. Then my game dropped. And I lost over and over and over again.

End your subscription.

Boycott this rigged game.

Don't give them your money.

Great when you start, grind when they want

When you start off the game is fun to play with players and against the ai. But everything changes as soon as you buy a trier V ship and are able to complete missions for reward. WHAT EVER YOU DO DO NOT START ANY MISSIONS! As soon as you do the game changes from a casual light strategy game that is fairly balanced to a “the only people who play this game haven’t touched grass since 2001 and are fine with unbalanced game mechanics”.
When you hit tier V you are taken out of matches with players of the same skill range and thrown into the pool of players who have been grinding the game for years. You will rarely take out a ship by either being out classed or game mechanics working against you a suspicious amount of times.

The devs cater to high ranking players by barring low and midrange players from the majority of events. Overall the entire game is designed to make the player want the best ships and the only 2 ways to get them are literal years of mi fleas grinding or paying an unreasonable amount of money.

Now, why do I say “don’t start the missions”? There are a few special in game currencies used to buy premium time and ships. These currencies have the chance to be won in containers. To get containers you need to finish missions. To finish missions you need to complete tasks. To complete tasks the game needs to reward players for their skill. But the game does not do that, it punishes skillful players for completing tasks too quickly.
I understand you will have good games and bad games in anything, however, the amount of bad games goes up exponentially as soon as you accept a mission. You will be either the first to die as every enemy shell hits you and cause critical damage again and again and again, or alternatively, you will spend most of the game sailing around as the AI players avoid you like the plague staying just out of range or when in range, your shells fired will land right around the ships or do minimal damage. For the AI firing at you is a different story. The AI will hit most shots, deal Mason e amounts of damage with each, and even fire perfect torpedo shots moments after being destroyed. Similarly the AI Sri craft carriers can still control planes after being sunk even tho players can not.

If you play against players the outcome of the battle feels predetermined. Same doing min taking max damage and shells missing an abnormal amount of time.

All the problems above started happening the very next battle after starting missions. Before then the game was fun and AI balanced. The goal of the devs is to make as much money as possible, retain mid range players by prolonging the grind to the top, and retaining top players with special events.
World of warships didn’t have these problems years ago when I started when the game had a solid amount of new players coming in every day. But now the game is having a hard time pulling new players in so to keep the game afloat (pun intended) it needs to keep players from quitting by keeping things new(ish) with events and keeping players from reaching the top and getting board.
Very fun game when all the new players are together below tier 5 or 500 battles (as stated by the game is when you are thrown in with veteran players). If you do play, don’t pass tier IV and make new account when 500 battles is up. Fun to frustrating in the matter of pressing accept on the missions.

-side note, I have noticed very similar behavior in world of tanks, owned by the same devs and based in Russia- —side side note, both games are bias toward the russia line of vehicles giving them unfair advantage over other nations vehicles. Rigging the game dosnt seem so far out a notion with that in mind—

Is fun at the beginning

Is fun at the beginning. Tier 1 threw 3 is ok from there up it is run by torpedoes. Battleship are useless and just a big target for destroyers to torp. And it will take you forever to get points in battles because of this. 3 destroyer's will stink every ship on the map before you can get a clean shot. This is not world of warships! Is world of torpedoes! Played a year hoping they would even the field but it just gets worse with subs in the game. Why even play will battleships? Need to rethink what the game is about not how to kill fast and think about players who care less about torpedoes and more about the game play of all ship's. wast of time unless you just like to run around a small map and torpedo everything in 4 mins. Wast of time in my veiw. Who wants to spend money on that? I have to play at 4am to get points while everyone is asleep and my life will not go this way to play a game. Want to help the game and keep people playing? Don't make torpedoes the main weapon of it. Make reload times longer and not as much range. And give the battleship a chance to kill the destroyers and not so easy to camp and kill. And only one destroyer per battle. Put 3 on the map and you may as well not even try and play just leave the battle and pray the next on has just one or none. And no I don't play with them, it's to easy to kill the bots and it's not my style of play. How is it fun when you can run up on a ship and torp it and get very little damage if any at all. I am about to the end of playing and will drop it from my steam account when I'm done. You guys need to go back to the drawing board. P.S make me pink if you like for dropping out of a battle I don't want to be in and take the cheap points too I could care less.

So many reviewers with no clue!

So many bad reviews on the basis that people have no clue what they're talking about! Ive been playing for 5 years now and have spent a total of £100 ish, 1 premium ship, some doubloons and a years premium when it was on sale, at time of writing I still have 160 days premium on top of my 1 year and 6 months playtime, how? By doing all missions, using twitch for drops, and having multiple T10 ships for the supercontainer bonus. I have several research ships and several steel ships and multiple coal ships. 34 T10s in total and about 8 max captains, how, by PLAYING!!! A game is by no means lost as soon as you start and skill makes a huge difference. Just because you have a premium ship by no means makes you better at the game if you come up against people who know how to deal with your ships in the best way! Any review about subs should be IGNORED, they are still in the test phase and not fully introduced in the game yet so any comments in a Trustpilot review are just silly people crying as they dont know how to deal with them. I have turned a losing game around many times by using the map, thinking and then dealing with the situation. Any comments about going up against aircraft carriers when outtiered should also be ignored, YOU HAVE ONE ON YOUR SIDE TOO lol!!! If you dont play as a team and think about what youre doing youre likely to lose, if you play for the win as opposed to just playing your little area of the map then youre way more likely to win, sure you may not score as highly or get as many kills but you WIN. Ships do not get nerfed as often as people say on here at all either, they certainly dont release a premium then nerf it when the next premium comes out at all to make it pay to win, THIS IS NOT A PAY TO WIN GAME, repeat THIS IS NOT A PAY TO WIN GAME. Looking back I could do without the ship I bought and just stick to the premium on offer taking me down to about £60 ... same price as a normal game. Havent spent a penny in 18 months as I said earlier about my premium time becasue no need, ive got all Ive got ... which is A LOT by just playing and learning. my Win rate is over 50% avg and on my fave ships 62-63% WR, and half of them are tech tree ships avail to anyone, the other ships im good in are yes research ships but hey, ive put the effort in to EARN them I havent spent anything to get them and have no intention of buying any ship in the game as no need. If you need doubloons and want to buy a ship, play ranked and EARN them in game, currently 7700 Doubs so far this year without putting full effort in, I may buy myself a T10 permacamo or just save them up. For anyone who reads this who still thinks its pay to win I just say you are lazy and cant be bothered to work at something cos it just aint, good game, 4 star review cos yes I think things could be balanced out a bit more but its free to play and the only way ive sped things up is with a bit of premium time when its on sale. Time for clan battles now so ill go be a merc somewhere and earn some more steel :-)

The moment you pay into the game you are being scammed

This game without doubt is rigged, your skill level doesn't make a difference if the game picks your side to lose you're going to lose its that simple.
This game may be free to play but it's certainly not free to win. The game is so unbalanced like when you go into a tier 7 match and you are met with legendary ships and a ridiculously overpowered aircraft carrier, you really have a very low chance of winning.
As for premium boats they are usually very good for upto one month when you buy them, but after a month they become useless, that's because wargaming Nerf them hoping that you will buy the next premium they are bringing out. And this is part of the aggressive monetization of the game, I'll give you a example there's a tier 7 premium battleship called Jean Bart it's so powerful that it will destroy most ships with one salvo, it's so good that most people want one, so wargaming use it as a big white whale by saying you have a chance of getting it out of a crate, and the crates don't come cheap, however if you look at the odds of getting one it's 0.45% per crate you buy and open ! The odds are so disgustingly low that it's a scam.
I could sit and talk about all the negatives about this game for one hour and take 2 minutes talking about the positives, all in all if you don't put money into the game it's free, but the moment you put money in you are being SCAMMED AVOID AVOID AVOID !

Before was fun, but now is a "pay to win"

I have been playng this game for a while now. Currently it has evolved to a "pay to win" basis. Before it was more fun but with the last updates, the game experience has deteriorated and the app constantly bugs. Shooting to an enemy ship at point blank and all the shells of your salvo miss the target due to "dispersion", or a vast majority of HE shells impacting your ship causing fires (5 shells landing on your ship would cause 3 fires), or ships firing at you from 1.5 kms that you would not detect even in an absence of a smoke screen that could explain that level of "concealment" are the most recurrent bugs. Now regarding the gameplay itself, some items have been modeled on a very realistic manner, like main battery reload times, turn ratios, rudder shift ratio, traverse ratios among other things. But in others, the simulation is just a joke (acceleration and deceleration rates, damage over time caused by fire and flooding, damage control teams among others). Night battles doesn't exist. In summary, unless you pay for the premium version, your chance to victory in battle is minimal.

Submarines should not even exist

Submarines should not even fricking exist. And they weren't supposed to be able to carry like 8 torpedoes no wait, HOMING-torpedoes. Playing battleships now is useless. You'll always die to either a he spamming guy or an agressive submarine.

Don't make the mistake that many of us have made. You spend money on this game and they keep tweaking the Meta to force you to buy more ships, doubloons, etc. Several of their best Community Contributors have left the game due to Wargaming's greedy business practices.

useless game

Biased matchmaking favoring only en-gross buyers and promoters of the game, huge team differences (one team melts away after 5 minutes while the other gets the best players). If you're a standard player, expect 40% Win rate and unfair matchmaking. Rigged matchmaking to favor only specific people. Any way of progressing fairly especially in competitive battles in this game is being blocked. "Players" that think stats are everything. Toxic game, unworthy.

Don't be human if you want to play...

If you are aged, have dogs, are a woman or a man with a real life or your spouse depends on you...

They will punish you for leaving battle.
They will punish you if you sit idle a few seconds.
They will punish you if your computer or game crashes.

Because they will take away hours of credits earned and possibly block you for what you did or not even do and all money invested is gone.

"What are we to do "Sorry babe I will help you get up off the floor in 20 minutes."

"Sorry Cooper, I can't let you out so go ahead and crap on the new carpet, I'll sit here in the stink for 20 minutes."

"Sorry kid, I'll take you to the hospital for that broken arm in 20 minutes.

No Pause, just penalties, and fee.... EVERYTHING the give you, they latter charge you to use.

Worst Game ever of 2022

I started playing wows in 2015, back then I had such incredible fun, both solo and with friends. The community was good, the game was balanced and fun to play. Unfortunately my old pc became too weak to run this game so I had to uninstall. In 2020 I got a better PC and reinstalled.

I came back to this game a few months ago...and I deeply regret my decision. This game went from good, to bad, to worse then to pathetic. This game right now is on par with WoT in terms of scummy moneymaking methods implemented into the game, completely unfair mechanics and ship additions, toxic community, overpowered premium ships with ridiculous pricing and terrible matchmaking. I can't see this game lasting longer than another five years with the way its going. Not to mention the bias that's focused towards anything Russian. Save your time, money and will to live by picking up something else, not this garbage.

Bear in mind that this game is a 1900-1945 naval shooter which is now adding JETS from 1959. Yes, JETS. I can recommend three other games that are better by a longshot compared to this garbage. Pick up Ultimate Admiral, Naval Action and War on the Sea. You'll have way more fun with those games for half the price. World of Warships may be a free to play game, but in order to get anywhere fast, pull out your credit card.

To finish off, DO NOT GET THIS GAME
