Initially I felt uncomfortable being contacted by Worthington Clark concerning money they were aware I had, that I wasn’t aware of and thought this could be an elaborate scam. So I researched this company and felt reassured about the positive reviews I read.
After deciding to proceed with their help I found every contact to be extremely helpful, very informative and always polite.

From start to finish these people are terrific. Initially I was convinced this was a scam, but as we needed to go to Bowral we called into their offices. The staff could not have been more helpful; having located my file (I ignored their email for 10 months!) I sat with a case manager (Linda) who explained to me what they do, how they do it and what they charge.

Totally satisfied by now that this was genuine I signed contract and was advised of timescale for receipt of funds ( which in my case came in two payments). Everything then happened within timeframes, money was credited to my account without fuss; the whole experience was first class from start to finish.

If you are approached by Worthington Clark - trust them because they are genuine and worth it!

Worthington Clark helped in reclaiming shares that had been "lost" during a broker transfer 20+ years ago. Very professional, and without them, I would not have reclaimed thousands of dollars' worth of shares.

Initially I was sceptical of the whole process and I'm very pleased that I had a few reminders to complete the forms and proceed to make a claim. The whole process was extremely straight forward and also very quick to receiving the claimed amount which I wasn't even aware existed until Worthington Clark contacted me.

The service and correspondence from the start until the last payment was prompt and concise.

It was successful in recovering my monies which I had not been able to achieve personally in the past.
The fees and disbursements significant but getting some of the funds is a lot better than none.

Like other reviewers, I thought this may have been some sort of scam, can 100% assure you it is not.

Once i signed the paperwork and agreed to the fees, the rest of the process was simple.

Details needed to verify my ID were simple and easy to return. Suggest you treat this as a business transaction. If you want the funds make Worthington Clarke's life easy and send them what they request.

Once they had all the ID and other paperwork the process was easy. I received regular updates, deposits were close to what was forecast (mine related to shares) and when there were delays with funds from WA Treasury, I got an email to let me know.

Whole process start to finish about 2 months. Which is fine for money I forgot existed.

As for the fees, whilst initially I was going to quibble, I thought of my "time cost of money" and to have this solved by someone else was easier, particularly for shares I didn't even know i had been vested.

Note - if your funds relate to shares and they are being sold, remember to allow for Capital Gains Tax, and pay that to the ATO up front so you don't get a nasty surprise.

Remember also Worthington Clarke's fees may be tax deductible (check with your accountant)

All in all a great experience and little boost to my bank
