While searching to get a good price on a DVD this company showed in results.I had never heard of Wow Hd before but I now know they used to be CD WOW which I had heard of and although I don't recall might have bought from many years ago.

I checking out the site prices were good ,lower than UK prices.I had 6 DVDs in my basket but then going to the checkout found that a 20% sales tax had been added !. This added £6 to the cost of 2 DVDs and between £3 and £4 for the others so prices were no so good after all.In the end I only ordered 1 DVD as even with the sales tax was £8 cheaper than Ebay sellers.(What the sales tax actually is who knows - can't be UK VAT as company is not registered in the UK.

Anyway been 2 weeks + now and DVD is still in transit.To make matters worse delivery in the UK is to be by Hermes.3 days ago DVD entered the Hermes network but tracking does not say it's the UK Hermes network so it could still be in America,or somewhere in mainland Europe tracking shows no detail about location,estimated delivery date etc all it says is "We've got it" which is useless.

Had I known how long it would take I would have just paid £8 more in the UK and been watching the DVD 12 days ago.

Won't be buying from again if this is the standard of delivery speed.

SECOND LIE, they claim to respond to any e-mail within 24/48. LIE.

I have been trying contact this company and cancel my order sinse Sunday 16/08/2020 and so far I had no response.

Charging Your Credit Card
Upon acceptance of your order, your credit card will be authorized but not charged. Once there is shipment confirmation, your credit card will be charged for only the shipped items, shipping and handling charges and any applicable taxes.

when I checked my bank account they had STOLEN £169.00 for orders that will not be released until October, so the above statement is a LIE.

I orded a blu-ray box. Have now waited for 40 days and still now parcel from them? When contacting them it takes them two days to answer for them? Customer services is very bad! You don't know who is answer your mail? Am so tired of there bad service! I have askt to get my money back, but they say i have to wait 60 days before the can do anything? What kind of policy is that? When order they say 8-15 days delivery! This is a lie... It is impossible for them to deliver in 8-15 days! Don't even go here to buy anything! Warning!

I ordered 2 cd’s and after a month I haven’t received anything. Tracking code not available. Sended a mail to customer service, no reaction within a reasonable time frame.
Never again and will work again via Amazon.

Cancelled my order without telling me.
Claimed they couldnt verify my address.
I strongly suspect that the item just wasn't in stock or they had priced it wrong. The item being the Fear Inoculum cd package.

Back when WOW HD was known as CDWOW it was great. Then the changed and stole my money (I never got my orders or my money back)

No problems at all. Exactly the item I expected in very quick time and at a price I ciould find no cheaper elsewhere on the planet. Staff knowlegable and cataogue kept up to date.dWill certainly return to make orders in the future. Highly Recommended

Been ordering CDs and DVDs from these guys for several years and had no problems whatsoever aside from one incident a couple of years back when ownership of the site changed and one of my orders got lost in the system and I had to reorder (I was not billed for this though). Order processing is very quick, shipping is fast and the product is exactly what I asked for. Last year one order disappeared in the mail and they sent me replacements free of charge after around 60 days or so. Communication and customer service was just fine. Again, I do not understand the bad reviews here and 'scam site' warnings. These guys are absolutely ok to order from.

After reading the negative reviews I was a little dubious, but WOW HD were absolutely brilliant. Cheap vinyl from the US, packaged well and arriving here just the day after the American release date. Will definitely be using them again.

Ordered in May 2015 they gave me the information, that this cd is not in stock and will be delivered as soon as possible. Every few weeks I asked via email and i got the same answer. Since September 2015 the cd is "in stock" - but no answer why I don't get the item. They stole my money and now the don't answer any of my emails. Now I hope that at least they will loose their money too in getting insolvent! Beware of thieves and cheaters!

2 LP's 1 double lp and 1 cd - 500kr (80€) shipping included - a good price . 14 days delivery is acceptable. Goods were in mint condition - came from England, I would really recommend this for people still buying vinyl, as new acts ( and old ones too) on vinyl - tend to be too pricey in retail here in Denmark .

I dont buy nearly as many CDs as I used to, but this company has always been reliable. The prices aren't as cheap as they once were, and they send out fewer discount cards, but otherwise very good.

Like the other reviews on here, I ordered a couple of DVDs in May 2015, paid for them at the time and I'm still waiting for them to arrive (22 January 2016).

Countless email exchanges to say my address was unsecure, that the DVDs had been returned to them, then that the supplier had let WOW HD down, blah blah blah. Then they had the cheek to put me on their mailing list!!

On December 14, 2015, I received an email from WOW HD that my order of 3 CD's were shipped. I did´nt receive the CD´s until January 19, 2016
No tracking option online. Slow response to my e-mails and facebook messages.
However - when I finally received the CD´s they were in good condition.

I pre-ordered a CD at the start of July that was due to be released in late July. Every month since I received an email from Wow HD saying that they haven't got the item in, they're awaiting stock, and when they do have it in they'll despatch it. I believed this until last week when I did a search for problems with the company.

When I read everyone else's problems (company under new management, orders made before 1st August will not be fulfilled), I realised I was never going to receive my CD, and that effectively my money had been stolen. I emailed Wow HD asking them to cancel my order and for a refund, but didn't get a response.

On the plus side, I've been in contact with my bank to raise a Chargeback request to get my money back (search "Chargeback" on the MoneySavingExpert website for more information). Chargeback applies "Within 120 days of purchase or expected service provision date". Despite it being over 120 days since I bought it, it is less than 120 days since expected service provision date. This is because Wow HD last emailed me in early October to say they were awaiting stock and my order would be despatched when they have the item.

So ending on a positive note, my bank have refunded my money, which I am very pleased about. They said they are now investigating it with Wow HD directly.

I hope this helps others.

PAID for a CD that was in general release on 23rd May. Chased a multitude of times and was told it was on its way. It never arrived. despite multiple purchases from WOW HD insinuated that my house was not a secure address. I assured them it was and asked for a refund. I am still waiting and its September 19th. They ignore e mails and do not communicate. where do i go from here

please consumers, avoid, may be cheap but are absolutely useless

ordered a Roxette CD as a birthday present, over a week beforehand. It took 11 days before it even shipped... arrived well too late

Well I wish I had seen the WOW HD reviews before I ordered a combo DVD. The site showed the item as in stock and a bonus was the 15% discount BUT on checking the status of my order a few days later I was a bit miffed to see that it was on "back order". I sent a couple of e-mails to customer service and as yet have not received any replies and honestly don't expect to. I have already mentally written off receiving the combo DVD set. Shame.
Have reduced my original star rating from 3 to 2.

As with many reviews on this site I concur that something is afoot with the once mighty Wow HD. No communication regarding order status! Orders being stacked on back-order although the product is being actively promoted as part of the companies regular marketing campaigns. No response from Customer Service except via Facebook where the standard propaganda is reeled out and subsequent follow-up is just a dream.
I feel that the company should rename itself as Fantasy HD as there seems to be no integrity or reality about their present operations. The CD's I wanted I ordered in good faith. In the past I've waited and waited only to have the orders cancelled by Wow HD without explanation. How the mighty have fallen!
