No support, no valid license keys unusable, support...What support?

So I go to their sign-up and purchase page, get the standard service WPSmartPay, and pay the $99. They notify me that the transaction is complete, and I go get the activation keys and download the installation files. I upload the install to WP plugins and install. drop the license keys in the requested places... Invalid. Jack around for another few hours with non-relevant, unhelpful fixes. Had enough, I want my 14-day available refund, your garbage doesn't work... Stone walled! I'll get my refund, fools. I used my card, and you delivered a non-functional file, and failed to provide a functional key set to unlock it... You'll get the chargeback fees. Should have just done the right thing and given me my refund as stated was part of the deal... Yeah, we know what the 'deal' is!

Anyone reading this, go to PaddlePress Pro by HandyPlugins... downloaded it, got the key, and 30 minutes later, after getting my keys and token from Paddle, I'm in business.

Exceptional Plugin with Remarkable Support – Truly Grateful!

I’ve been using the Paddle for EDD plugin by WPSmartPay and it has exceeded my expectations in every way — from functionality to the quality of support. As someone dealing with severe health and mental challenges, running my WordPress-based digital platform hasn’t been easy. But the WPSmartPay team showed me what real professionalism and empathy look like.

Their Paddle integration is seamless, enabling effortless checkout experiences with advanced features like instant checkout, coupon support, variable pricing, and more. It works flawlessly with Easy Digital Downloads and has been a key part of my eCommerce workflow. The plugin is built with clean code, smart configuration options, and well-thought-out documentation — which speaks volumes about their development standards.

What truly moved me was their incredible act of kindness and support. After understanding my situation, they generously offered me free access to the plugin for a year. This wasn’t just a business decision — it was a genuine human gesture that reflects the values behind WPSmartPay.

And even beyond the plugin itself, their customer support is top-notch — fast, attentive, and solution-oriented. It’s rare to see such a perfect combination of professionalism, product quality, and compassion in this industry.

Thank you, WPSmartPay, for not only creating a powerful plugin but also for being human first. Highly recommended!

Horrible, scammers

Horrible, they are scammers disguised as an "official recommendation." I purchased the Paddle for WooCommerce extension, and its performance is mediocre. When a user creates a new order, the plugin adds an extra, completely unnecessary step by redirecting them to the order page. Additionally, it automatically creates user accounts regardless of whether the WooCommerce option (Guest Checkout) is enabled or not. While these features might be useful in some cases, they are not in mine, and the worst part is that they cannot be disabled.

Another important point is that the plugin is not compatible with the official PayPal payment plugin (it was incompatible with the version I tested a few months ago, not sure about now). Some of my users prefer to pay directly via PayPal without going through Paddle, but this option is impossible since the plugins are INCOMPATIBLE.

I contacted support four times via ticket to request a refund under their "14-day risk-free refund policy" due to the issues mentioned above, and I never received my money back. They closed tickets without responding, and the only one they replied to was after four days.

Don't waste your money. I'm now using the free version of Paddle for WooCommerce available on GitHub, which works a thousand times better and is free.

Payed but never received working plugin

Payed for the plugin, never received the working version of it, exchanged over 40 emails with them and received so many spam emails but no relevant answer.
I also tried to get a refund, but they refused.
My mistake not to come here first.
Scammers.

I bought this plugin a while ago

I bought this plugin a while ago, but I’ve barely used it because it forces an annoying extra step—redirecting customers to an order-pay page. This totally messes up the checkout process. I reached out to support, hoping they’d remove this step, especially since other free Paddle-WooCommerce plugins don’t have this issue. But instead of fixing it, they just gave me vague answers like, 'we’ll look into it.' and after several reminders, in the end, they said they won’t fix it at all. So frustrating.

We opened a digital store with the Easy…

We opened a digital store with the Easy Digital Downloads plugin. We wanted to use Paddle as a payment gateway. So, we bought the interface for it from WPSmartPay. Our newly set up Paddle account can only use the new Billing API, and as already reported by a user here, the WPSmartPay plugin does not work with it at all. There is no communication about this on their site. Supposedly, their WooCommerce plugin now works with the new API, but that is of no use to us because we use EDD. The support is not reachable at any time via chat. This is only supposed to create trust but has no use. Moreover, I have been waiting for a response to my created tickets for a week.

Accordingly, it's an absolute scam, and I can only advise everyone against supporting this company.

Such a pity... now everything has to be replanned.

Wonderful Support Experience

I faced an issue integrating Paddle on my website using this plugin. I reached out to the support team for assistance.

I'm grateful to Parvez for his timely help in resolving the issue. Thanks to his efforts, I can now effortlessly process payments through Paddle. His patience and willingness to offer support beyond his regular working hours were truly commendable.

WPSmartpay broke their plugin and stopped support

We're using the Paddle for EDD plugin (lifetime), which had been working well for a few years, with great support from the devs when a compatibility issue needed to be resolved.

About a year ago, WP Smartpay broke compatibility with two official EDD plugins (multi-currency and success redirect, sold by EDD, not third parties) which are essential to our business, so we've been stuck since with an old version of the WPSmartpay plugin.

After many months of patient waiting for a promised fix, we were finally told that the EDD official plugin wasn't supported, so that there will be no fix for this issue, eventhough it was introduced by WP Smartpay (as their plugin only stopped working after one of their updates).

We were asked to pay for fixing this, which we refused given that 1) the EDD multi-currency plugin was initially supported and only broke after WP Smartpay made a change in their code and 2) We have purchased a lifetime license for lifetime support, so there is no reason to pay more for WP Smartpay to fix their coding mistakes.

So steer cleer from this company, it has shady business practices and their lifetime license only means paying more money for no support when THEY break compatibility with an OFFICIAL EDD add-on.

This is sad because until this issue, support had been great and overall the Paddle for EDD plugin works very well. When it stops working due to the absence of support, we'll have to move to another solution.

WPSmartPay technical support is WPSmartPay technical support is slow, untrained and stubborn.

WPSmartPay technical support is extremely slow, even not responding after a month.

WPSmartPay support seems to be unaware of the properties of their own plugins. For example, Paddle.com support team has confirmed that WPSmartPay plugin only uses the Paddle Classics API, but WPSmartPay say that "they do support both Paddle Classics and Billing".

Support is not flexible and refuses to change their mind, even when the evidence is remarkable. For example, Paddle.com have not only said that the WPSmartPay plugin does not work with Paddle Billing, but they have also modified their website to highlight this fact (search for "Does Paddle integrate with Wordpress?"). Besides, as a user I have verified that it is true. Not only that, but Paddle.com has also notified WPSmartPay's technical support. But surprisingly, WPSmartPay still does not recognise it or modify its plugin or the information on its website.

Edited after WPSmartPay's reply:

Thank you very much for your quick response. I wish your support was as fast.

Reading your reply, and seeing that you insist that "we've details guide how to work with new billing account", it is confirmed that you still do not want to admit that your plugin does not work with Paddle Billing (and it is not only that it did not work for me, it is that Paddle itself has said so and they have even modified their website to include it).
WPSmartPay gentlemen, please do not insist so much and review your plugin because it only uses the Paddle Classic API, and new Paddle customers do not have access to Paddle Classic.

Maybe you are getting confused with old Paddle customers, who have access to both Paddle Classic and Billing.

I have tested it with subscriptions and it only sends the payment order, but there is no return to woocommerce, and the order remains pending indefinitely. And well, Paddle himself has said it: your plugin uses the Classic API, and does not work with Paddle Billing, no matter how much you insist.
