Good treatment (not so good customer experience!)!
Arrived on time to find that my allocated appointment time had been double booked, so had to wait 25 minutes (one therapist apparently hadn't turned up). There was no receptionist working, so we had to wait until the therapist finished his session and appeared.
Once I got into my treatment, the therapist explained clearly what was required and did the job professionally and quickly. Overall satisfied and I would go back.

Appalling Clinic & Atrocious Service AVOID
Atrocious service from an appalling business.
Red flags with WTB Clinic:
• ❌ No microsuction performed
• ❌ Only tweezers used (which is not appropriate for deep wax)
• ❌ No visual confirmation shown to me either before or after treatment
• ❌ I was reassured to give it time despite persistent symptoms
• ❌ Wax later described by an A&E ENT specialist as looking present for months or years - the clinician identified long-standing dark brown wax fully blocking the ear meaning the wax had not been properly removed in September.
I was advised by the consultant that using tweezers alone cannot safely or effectively remove impacted wax from deep in the canal and can actually push wax further in. No attempt was made by WTB to perform microsuction.
What should have happened:
After effective earwax removal (especially microsuction):
• Hearing should improve immediately or within hours
• The blocked/full feeling should resolve quickly
• You should not remain blocked for weeks
In my case:
• Hearing never improved - I was told it may take time
• The ear felt blocked continuously
• Upon going back to the clinic 3 weeks later on I was given the cold shoulder and told it can take time for a blocked ear to rebalance - and I should be patient - which I now know to be utter nonsense.
Raising this with WTB Clinic as a formal complaint now I have a second professional opinion has been hilarious - every excuse under the sun and a flat refusal to do anything at all. They are perfect and the deaf in one ear customer is always wrong.
Avoid this place at all costs if you value your health - go to the reliable specialists like Specsavers and Boots where you will be seen by actual audiologists and you will be shown your ear under microscope on a screen before and after treatment. In the event that there are remaining issues you will not be fobbed off either.
WTB Clinic is hardly ever actually open which is very odd. It can be shut and in darkness for days on end - we live only a few doors away and pass it every day. When I originally visited in September, another obviously disgruntled patient with continuing problems was there causing a scene. I now know why.
I am lodging a formal notice with the relevant health authority.

Following receipt of your complaint, we conducted a review of the clinical notes and treatment provided at the time of your appointment. At WTB Clinic, you were assessed and treated by a GMC-registered medical doctor, who selected a method of wax removal considered appropriate based on the clinical presentation at that time. Not all cases are suitable for JUST microsuction, and alternative techniques may be used where clinically indicated.
You have advised that you later attended the Emergency Department, where you were assessed by an audiologist. While Emergency Departments do not routinely have ENT specialists on site (audiologist are not ENT Specialists), we acknowledge that you were able to receive further assessment and treatment there, and we are pleased that your symptoms were ultimately addressed.
We note your reference to differing professional opinions. As with many clinical matters, assessments and findings can vary depending on timing, symptom progression, and examination conditions. The clinical notes from your visit to WTB Clinic do not indicate complications or contraindications at the time of treatment.
We also note that, following attendance at the Emergency Department, further treatment was sought from the clinic. Once symptoms have been managed within secondary care, additional intervention in a clinic setting is not always clinically necessary unless new or worsening symptoms arise.
We regret that you felt your concerns were not adequately addressed during follow-up and acknowledge that clearer communication may have been beneficial. This feedback has been logged and will be reviewed as part of our ongoing service evaluation.
Based on our internal review, we did not identify evidence of deviation from our clinical protocols at the time of your appointment. Your complaint has been handled in line with our formal complaints procedure. Thank you

I visited the clinic due to an acute ear issue. As I work professionally with headphones and have very sensitive hearing, I was a little tense at first.
The doctor explained the situation clearly and calmly, and carried out the treatment in a precise, structured way. The effect was immediate – a few days later I was able to complete a major production without any problems.
The appointment was unexpectedly easy, with a light and natural sense of humour that made the whole experience straightforward rather than stressful.
I can fully recommend the clinic and the doctor – even though I unfortunately don’t know his name. 😄

Great care and customer service
This clinic was the only one opened on a Sunday. I had an emergency on the same day and they welcomed me very nicely.
The doctor was also really helpful and performed his duty carefully.
Overall a great experience. I will come back again.
