Amateur hour from start to finish. Did the Carlingford 10K at the weekend. Registration back in November was a joke. Delays on opening for registration, no information provided, site crashing - repeated several times. Total confusion for people concerning bib postage and bib collection. No information. Last minute mails about possibilities to collect bibs day before/day of the event. Half hour delay on race start, at least it was sunny. Insufficient signage meant probably 90% of the 10K runners went the wrong way but at least had a nice run through the village and out the Greenore road.
Had considered doing some other races in the Mournes organized by 26extreme but no way. And these guys have been organizing races for years...Mamma mia ( If you look at their website at the time of writing, 2 days after the event, you'll find tickets for the event 2 days ago are selling fast and only 317 left - world class)

I recently done the Carlingford half marathon while the race itself was very enjoyable the experience of having to deal with this crowd has been absolutely terrible for a crowd that boasts about providing top class events what I seen on Saturday tells me otherwise it was an absolute shambles from trying to sign up to a 35 min delay standing in the cold at the start line it was absolutely shocking and if this company is organizing this event again next year I will not be competing
In all the years I’ve been running in these events nobody has come close to being as bad as 26 extreme a complete disaster from start to finish

Awful customer service!
Last year (2025) I deferred my place in the Tollymore Half Marathon, I received an email saying that my credit will be sent to my online wallet and to contact them for any further information.
In February 2026 I saw an upcoming race I wanted to use my credit to book, having not received the credit in my wallet yet I emailed them.
I have since emailed, opened multiple support tickets and spoken repeatedly to the ai assistant on the website and have had no reply to any of my messages. It has now been weeks, the race has sold out and I am still waiting for a reply and for my credit. At this point I don’t hold any hope that I will ever get my credit so that’s £60 I won’t get back.
Please do not book with this company

Shambolic company. They don’t care about their customers’ safety. They never reply to emails or deal with any issues. I won’t run at any of their events again!

Purchased two tickets in March for the Ultra Causeway race in Sept 2024. Received no confirmation email and no replies to 5 emails since. Please can someone contact me to confirm our places.

Very unfriendly bunch, only in it for the money. travelled with my husband who did the ultra, got flogged off multiple times and felt unwelcome and he felt the same after the race.

I’d highly recommend running the areas they host, but not their badly planned events.
Many friends have been let down by this crowd time and time again. if it’s not drastically short courses it’s wrong timing or being left out of the results altogether, they don’t really care about people’s questions or problems once they have the money and if you have issues they will take zero blame. They spend more time posting about sponsors instead of runners. I have seen some disgraceful email replies from Lucy at Extreme26 to a few different people and accepts no responsibility and actually throws insults at her customers.

To top it all off the price is ridiculous and if you get on the podium you are rewarded with the honour of having to push items from their sponsors.

Signed up for race with them and due to injury couldn't take part in it , tried to contact them to see if I could move my entry to next year , it took some time for them to come back to me but eventually they have responded to me and I was provided with the voucher that could be used against next year event. I do understand we all live busy lives and some things just take that little bit longer sometimes. After all very happy I could move my entry.

Absolutely shocking organisation. I travelled half way across the world to compete in the 2023 Mourne Way 84 km race. Firstly they couldn't find my registration, and then having finished the race in sixth place, no record of my having competed exists in their results. I emailed them about this and they never even bothered to respond. Such a terrible experience for my first race outside Australia

Participated in the 26Extreme Tollymore Trail 10k event 3 times and on 3rd attempt managed to come 3rd. All events are very well organised with plenty of sign posting, adequate water stations and post-race refreshments. I'd recommend 26Extreme for anyone wanting to try a running or ultra event. Looking forward to attending again.

After many races with these amateurs a race was canceled last minute only by participants pressure owing to 6" of snow so huge safety concern. I was then humiliated on their social media and belittled by email basically saying I didn't know anything and to stop scare mongering when all I had asked was for a sensible decision like lots of other races in the area and cancel, to stop putting profits before people.
