Placing the order, time before receipt, and packaging were without fault. The reason I haven't given a higher rating is purely because of the quality of the item I bought, and as re-sellers, 3wisemonkeys share some of the responsibility.

The Denver MCA-230MK2 CD player is a top-loader, and looks smart, doesn't take up lots of space, and also is an FM radio. The reception for the one station I've played is clear, and although I would prefer the speakers to give more bass, the general sound playing CDs is also clear.

The problem is that a number of CDs are prone to stuttering or skipping on tracks. Not all, but having delayed writing this review until now, sufficient to be of concern. Both CDRs and CDs are affected, so it's not just home-burned discs. A couple of CDs stalled on certain tracks, repeating a juddering sound and displaying an elapsed time of over 69 minutes (despite the track not being that length nor the track being that far into the CD). Last time this occurred, restarting that track solved the problem. Maybe it's a firmware bug, who knows?

The device was inexpensive, so not worth returning, and it doesn't exhibit the fault on every CD. However I cannot recommend this CD player.

Quality is not that gd, cd player dont work and volume knob is loose. Also emailed a few times about cd player being picked up and a refund but still waiting....
