Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 49 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. People struggle to reach anyone on the phone, and complaints or repair requests are frequently ignored for months. Customers also experience living with severe unresolved issues like persistent water leaks, broken lifts, and terrible property management. Many residents feel completely unsupported and stressed out by the endless delays and complete lack of communication. Some reviewers were happy with specific staff members who provided helpful assistance and successfully resolved their accounts. These positive experiences, though less common, show that a few employees can still offer polite and courteous service.

Worst company ever

wful company. Had a problem in our bathroom and no cold water for months. 5 repair men been out and not one of them could diagnose or fix the problem. One of them said it was because of the boiler. I got a second opinion and they told me within 5 mins that it’s a blockage in the pipe from the water tank in the loft to the bathroom. One of their so called plummers asked me if I expected to him to get up in the loft….isn’t that his job??? Then he walked out after telling me he couldn’t fix it and to use a bucket of water to flush the toilet!!! All staff useless and awful terrible service. Worst company ever!! Surprise surprise still not fixed!! I’m now withholding my rent and taking it further. They don’t care about anyone. I could train monkeys to do their job better:

This housing association doesn’t care…

This housing association doesn’t care about anyone, especially about share holders. You left to yourself. They only rise the prices up every year for rent. Better to get council flat from them if you can. Plus customer service takes up to 1 month to reply to any queries. Repairs on average take 5 months. Unless it cost a lot of money which residents have to pay. Then it’s quick. Don’t buy from them .

BRISTOL - A2DOMINION DO NOT HAVE CORRECT INSURANCE AND WILL BLAME YOU.

If you live in their Bristol properties - please be aware of incorrectly fitted mastic alongside other issues. Do not let them take any money from you - if you're in a similar situation please feel free to reach out to me and I can assist you on how to pursue them outside of their 'complaints department' (who will never get back to you).

We reported our leak in January, after one month they sent people over to help and then wrongfully accused us of causing the damage due to the overflow cap not working (a lie) - we were told to continue using the bathroom after they 'fixed' the cause of the leak. They told us we were liable for the damage, which was pretty much every single room in a two bed, two bath flat!

We asked for a second opinion, to which they repeatedly ignored our requests - in the end, I payed £100 of my own money to get the cause of the leak identified. It was due to fault sealant (every appt. in Twine, Tannery etc will have the same) and they admitted it was not our fault BUT they continued to try and get us to pay the cost of the entire damages.

After days of pushing and requesting that we were able to be in a meeting do discuss how they intended to fix the damages - they finally removed fault from us, and admitted THEY DON'T HAVE INSURANCE (hence them trying to blame us) and came to fix the mastic.

The entirety of this time from January - March, the property was semi out of use, there is black mould, damp, yellowing carpets and peeling walls - they refused to fix this.

Instead, they told us to leave. They waited until our contract was up, and kicked us out without explanation and refused to make our living environment acceptable for 5 MONTHS!

We have now taken legal action for the 10 different builders coming in and out of our home, for them ignoring us, for their false accusations, for the damage to our home for 5 months etc.

The worst part is, we're yet to hear a single sorry come out of their mouth.

I've been contacted by multiple leaseholders and tenants who are in a battle with them.

They are criminals.

Called a2 in April this year about a hissing noise 24/7 at the boiler they said they would come in may, two engineers came to sort the problem, he says it was leaking, stating it was an emergency and turned off the water, told a2 it was an emergency and they had apparently to come back, (they never came) called back a2 to ask what was going on and they said they don’t deal with gas emergency’s and to call Tsg, called Tsg and they said a2 deals with the problem 🙃 Tsg says one might come at 10:00pm in the evening (doubt it) or the next day.

Till this day I wonder why they call it emergency phone line when they can only suggest to wait until the engineer comes 🧐

stay away

this group can not be trusted, another charity on the bandwagon, of victims , whatever kind of victim,
charities in the UK seeking to get money using this as a pretext, when in fact, they do nothing and clearly do not provide refuge, clearly have no understanding of this world and definitely do not respect rights of victims.

Liars, absolutely disgusting company

I am in the process of remortgaging my flat: as a result of this I had to ask for a EWS1 form. I sent an email, and they only reply after 5 working days. They sent me the wrong document, so I went back to them asking for the correct one, after 11 days no email back. I phoned the customer service multiple times, wasted hours on the phone, they were never able to connect me to the right people, nor they could not escalate my case.

I eventually got an email from them stating that they don't have the document I was requesting: this turned out to be a lie as the documents were in fact available online as I discovered later. They lied to me for no reason, knowing that they were blocking my remortgage. All this for no reason, they could have spent 1 minute to send me the right documents.

I am still waiting for a cover letter for these documents, my mortgage is expiring end of the month and my payments are about to double, all because of them.

It is disgusting how these people can play with the lives of the leaseholders and disrespect the very people that are paying their salary.

The absolute worst

The absolute worst! If you are expecting decent communication, forget about it! Once you’re a tenant in there, forget about ever speaking to your housing officer/ neighborhood officer as I’m now convinced they’re just ghost workers. Left dozens of messages for a call back in the past year and not a single call back, ZERO response within ONE WHOLE YEAR! I’m beyond shocked with how atrocious their service is and just the utter disregard and disrespect towards tenants. I think some sort of class action against this organization is necessary and urgently too! Surely they shouldn’t be getting away with this.

Only gave 1 star as you can't put zero. Terrible housing association giving me 6 months for me and my 10 year old daughter to move out of a property that i have lived in for 26 years just for under occupancy me and my daughter lived in the property with my father that passed away 3 months ago and the housing association won't even help us look for another property even though they have granted me succession which now means the property is in my name but I'm only aloud to stay here for 6 months.

Incredibly bad company

Really, truly awful management company and housing association. They don't listen to complaints, refuse to give a breakdown of extortionate service charges, turn ablind eye to repeated anti-social behaviour, have no regard for the safety of leaseholders/tenants and have some very questionable accounting practices.
If you are thinking of moving into an A2Dominion property, the simple advice is "don't!"

Any time I ring keep having to go through the same thing. Stayed home and a total of 7 days which is a loss of earnings.

Multiple criminal eviction attempts

A2Dominion has recently tried to illegally evict me and several other tenants. They may be doing the same to some of you. This post is meant to provide you with some practical advice on how to handle this situation.

Non legal advice TLDR: Assured Shorthold Tenancy contracts do not "Expire" upon the end of the fixed term unless the tenant willingly moves out, instead they turn into rolling tenancies where you keep the same rent and same rights. This is automatic and the landlord has no say in it. If the landlord wants a tenant out, they need to serve a valid section 8 or section 21 notice. A2Dominion are ignoring this and attempting to illegally evict several of their tenants for purely commercial reasons. Don't fall for their scam, look into your rights and stand up for them by contacting your Council. It is easier to do so than it sounds and it might save you thousands of pounds in rent. Read the rest of the post for steps to take.

Applying what I learned to my own situation, I quickly figured out that if A2Dominion wanted me as a tenant out by 6th of December, they should have issued a valid Section 21 notice on form 6A 6 month in advance, on the 6th of June due to Covid restrictions which were in force at the time. A2Dominion didn't do that, either because of incompetence or (more likely if you ask me) because they didn't know which way the rental market will go and thus weren't sure whether they should evict paying tenants such as myself. They quickly changed their mind in November when demand picked up, and they have decided to try to illegally evict me just as they gouged up prices for my property by 25%.

This all seemed very improper to me, so I got in contact with a reputable and free legal advice service called Shelter England who have backed up my analysis of the situation. They have advised me to contact my council.

As my next step I went to my council which is the Lambeth Council, who have a "Housing Advice Team" which can be contacted online. They support not only poor and homeless people but also people who are about to be illegally evicted (regardless of income level). The council has the power and the mandate to reign rogue landlords in and to press criminal charges where necessary. If you are in the same situation as me, it is crucial you involve them.

The council has now sent an official letter to A2Dominion which basically tells them their eviction attempt was unlawful and they have to follow the process defined under Section 21. As a result I will now be allowed to remain on the property for a minimum of another 2 months, and more if A2Dominion delay serving me the notice, serve me an invalid notice or if I decide to fight the eviction in court.

If A2Dominion has tried to pull off the same type of illegal eviction on you, It is crucial you do NOT leave the property. Instead I suggest you follow the same steps I did. If you are in London, Lambeth, I suggest you refer to case number 572100 when speaking with the council. By following the same steps I did you can remain in the property for a minimum of another 2 months provided A2Dominn hasn't served you a valid section 21 notice on form 6A so far. Furthermore the more people contact councils, the higher the likelihood one or more councils will start criminal prosecution. My experience with A2Dominion is that they won't grow a spine until a court forces them to so this is all for the best.

WARNING - this company could put your life in danger

WARNING: THIS COMPANY HAS ACTED ILLEGALLY ON MANY FRONTS AND MAY PUT YOUR LIFE IN DANGER. They are criminally negligent on dozens of accounts of health and safety.

They harass tenants and bully them with fraudulent bills, threatening eviction if not paid. They leave people without their basic human right to water for days on end; they won’t even tell us where a hose isn’t so we can fill buckets to flush the loo. They refuse to comply with Freedom of Information requests. They ignore Ombudsman rulings and do not follow complaints procedures, so complaints are not tracked. They harass and discriminate against venerable and disabled tenants. They fail to provide ALL of the services they charge people for. They allow trash dumping and rodent infestations. They exploit and ignore people too poor to sue a giant corporation. They fail to fix internal and external flooding that affects hundreds of people repeatedly. They fail to provide parking permits. They fail to fix main doors on a building for 3 months. They leave ladders outside bedroom windows for months. They sold us a property and lost the deeds before we could move in, making us homeless for 6-months.

The business is a scam and run by a bunch of people who clearly demonstrate zero concern for ethics, humanity or integrity and have lied about their offers of help to residents. They purposefully ignore residents and get their operating costs as high as possible in order to justify inflated director pay. They have a culture of abusive negligence towards their tenants.

They do not care that they are causing a major public health breach and ignore the human right to 50-L of water per person per day in a pandemic TWICE/ONGOING as people cannot flush toilets, wash hands/clothes/dishes or bathe. They force tenants to pay rent to live in a building that badly needs assessed for flood damage to electrics, mould and fire safety (I.e. sprinklers may not work). They know that people’s boilers and washing machines could explode or cause fire when used without water and refuse to fix the problem, make any contingency plan or find alternative water sources.

They accept NO responsibility and have excellent legal support, with friends in high places who allow them to break the law. They have been reported to: the Environment Department for concerns over water quality, to the Police for harassment (workers who swear and shout at tenants and haven’t worn masks inside when it was the law during COVID), for repeatedly booking industrially loud construction work (preventing anyone who’s had to ‘work from home’ due to COVID/being venerable being able to do so) causing loss of income to tenants because they say: it’s “impossible” to let people know when the work will be done. They’ve been reported to: social services for letting people live without water and to MPs and the Department of Health.

They let scaffolders leave chainsaws unattended around children and throw 3-ft wide chunks of metal off the top if 4-story buildings without any safety barriers next to the front entrance. They refuse to communicate with residents in any meaningful way and somehow falsify the image of the company as ‘compassionate’.

Our home will be devalued and they appear to hire staff that are incompetent in order to refute any allegations that it is all pre meditated, which provides them with a legal loophole to get away with is.

PLEASE DO NOT EVER BUY A PROPERTY THROUGH THIS COMPANY, ITS DIRECTORS OR AFFILIATES! They have made our lives living hell in one of the worst moments in history.

Fabrica = Simply garbbage

Their subsidy Fabrica sells houses with poor quality and after-sale service. New homes team does not reply emails. Snags existing for over a year without being fixed. Charged for service for communal areas without any service at all, the areas supposed to be managed by them filled with rubbishes and fallen leaves everywhere.

Human rights do not exist with this company

Absolutely appalling, We have suffered an ongoing leak in our apartment for the last 5 years. Nothing has been fixed. They have contractors called Pyramid plus and JRP who visit with a surveyor and supervisor takes pictures of the mould/leak. And you do not hear from them. A lot of the time Pyramid plus will take a picture on their visit tell you they can fix it they will then say " I'm just going to the van to grab my tools, I won't be a moment" to no one actually returning. This is happened to me around 5 times. Absolutely no remorse, dignity, humanity from these people and there is no better with A2. We have cladding issues also which is the cause of this leak on one side of the building. We are experiecing leak in our living room and bedroom which is leaking on our bed, mattress, floor, duvet. I have 2 young children and with no mould build up I am concerned. They are not taking the cladding off they just decided to put fitted heat detectors in each room. If you are looking to buy or shared ownership in this development absolutely take your money elsewhere. Walk to Dalgeish street where the school is and you will see mould dripping down from the roof down to the round floor. I will 100% be taking this further. Complaints/Management team are not helpful at all but raise it until you get the housing ombudsman.
