Gave them a bad review last year and they've taken it down, well I'll just have to repost it. I'd been with Abbey since the mid 80's, I had a 16 year old range rover that was never more than £420 a... See more

let down
Was told they definitely had taxi insurance for me left my work to start taxi driving only to be told they can’t help me now I’m left with nothing
Bypass Abbey Autoline
Abbey Autoline seems to have gotten more expensive, Charging in excess of £600 for renewal whereas AXA will provide the exact same policy for less than £400.
For taxi insurance..Abbey insurance
I've been with Abbey for a few years now and I'm just off the phone Kyla from the taxi insurance quote. They have been brilliant over the years and this year is no exception. £1000 fully comprehensive protected no claims. With all that's been happening in and around Northern Ireland with covid 19 they must still be the cheapest taxi insurance available and with a high quality of service. Thanks Kyla it's much appreciated.
I will never insure any vehicle with…
I will never insure any vehicle with this company again. The reason I never renewed is due to how over the top they charge compared to other companies but a major flaw is there extremely poor customer service. My car was up for renewal and my husband informed them I had went with another insurer. They failed to note this on there system and auto renewed my insurance. I was send payment details about direct debits and even when I rang up to confirm I am no longer with yourselves they said I couldn’t get out of it. Absolutely appalling
I don't leave reviews normally but felt…
I don't leave reviews normally but felt that abbey were so insensitive in handling our families loss that I had to let other people know.My wonderful Daddy passed away on January 19th, everyone got allocated something to sort out, I got car insurance...on the phone the customer advisor Amy was more interested in what was being done with the car and who the executor of will was (?!) I emailed Daddy death cert to Abbey, once again requesting they cancel insurance. Today not one but 3 letters arrived addressed to my deceased father telling him that according to his instruction insurance was cancelled. My poor mother , insensitive Abbey..I would never use you nor recommend your company after this.
Complete joke of a company
Complete joke of a company. Told them to set the direct debit up for the last working day of the month (pay day) they agreed. Received a call on the 23rd Jan with a voicemail from the arrears department telling me they need a payment or my insurance would be cancelled in a few hours. Checked bank statement sure enough the tried to take a payment 2 days early. And like most people funds weren't available 2 days before pay day. Rang to be told nothing they could do the policy would be cancelled at 12am. So they left it 23 days to notify me my direct debit had failed (there fault as didn't set it up on date requested) rude and ignorant on the phone as well. Trust me go elsewhere.
Have been with them for years so…
Have been with them for years so decided to shop around for a better deal which I did. Called them and was told Aviva couldn't match it, I told them i would not be renewing my premium. A month later I received a letter stating I owe them over £400 and I would be charged a fee of £50 for cancelling the premium as initially it's automated that the premium starts right after they called Aviva even if it was just a quote and for them to waive the fee was to send proof that I paid insurance from my current insurance broker! I am livid! I always thought once you paid, the premium commence, apparently not! I won't be using them ever again.
Stay clear of these thieves
Stay clear of these thieves.
I sold my car and try to cancel my policy they send bill £129.76 ,for cancellation
I thing they forgot slivery time is over ?they are trying modern and legal slivery with different new names(premium)to keep you and pay them for ever.they always find different way and excuse to rob you . .never ever I get insurance from these thieves again.
This company has no loyalty
As a long standing customer I am extremely disappointed in the manner in which Abbey is handling my claim. 1st claim ever!! Every excuse used to try and delay the process. This company really is the lowest of the low. Con men!! My experience with this company over the last 4 days has been exhausting. The only advise I can give is please, please, please stay clear of Abbey Insurance. Even if you get a quote that is slightly higher than Abbey's, go with it. It will save you a lot of hassle and disappointment in the long run. My experience is much too long to detail here, but please please believe me, I wouldn't want you to go through it. When I complained to their Complaints Dept, my response came back with the subject title of "Final Response". How arrogant is that!!!
Stay clear of these thieves
Stay clear of these thieves. I changed my car and they couldn't cover me. Tried to charge me £50 fee... then changed their minds. Agreed to refund me and now tell me it can take 6 to 8 weeks!!!!! What a joke!!!
Very easy going
Very easy going, all was sorted in couple hours. And far far cheapest for taxi insurance.
