Neil from A&K understood our needs from the very first moment we spoke. Everything was perfectly organized and tailored—we packed in a huge variety of experiences, including safari, spa, beach, and nature activities, yet it never felt stressful despite multiple hotel changes.
The local guide was incredibly friendly and welcoming. All of the intimate, authentic hotels Neil recommended were outstanding. Plus, as someone with specific dietary requirements, I was so impressed that the staff prepared all my food from scratch, allowing me to safely enjoy the local cuisine.
Absolutely no areas for improvement. Highly recommended!

Looking to book first luxury African Safari. Called and received 3 options to review within two hours after the call. Reviewed over the weekend and called back on Monday leaving a voicemail and also an email to please call me back. Heard nothing as of Wed, left another message around noon saying I as looking to buy and please call back. Still nothing. Clearly A&K had other bookings looking to pay more than the $40k I was looking to spend and they were too busy to contact me back. I don't mind that but they should let you know up front rather than just ignoring you. Moving on to other companies and asking them how closely they can mirror the A&K safari that we liked the most.

We had an absolutely wonderful 16-day trip through Kenya, perfectly organised by Abercrombie & Kent. From the planning stage to the very last transfer, everything was handled professionally and smoothly.
Our journey took us through Aberdare National Park, Ol Pejeta, Lake Nakuru, Amboseli and the Maasai Mara, before finishing with a few relaxing days at Diani Beach. The entire itinerary was extremely well organised. Every guide and driver was punctual, all transfers ran smoothly, and we never had to worry about a thing. Domestic flights, the train journey to Mombasa and all transfers between the different national parks and lodges were perfectly coordinated.
The entire team was professional, knowledgeable, friendly and always willing to help.
A very special thank you goes to Gabriel, our guide for the first ten days of our trip. He was truly outstanding. His knowledge of Kenya’s wildlife, particularly the incredible variety of birds, as well as the different national parks was exceptional. He spoke excellent English, was always respectful, friendly and attentive to our wishes, and made every day enjoyable. We learned so much from him, and he genuinely enriched our experience in Kenya. We could not have wished for a better guide!
Overall, we had an unforgettable trip and can highly recommend Abercrombie & Kent. The planning, organisation and execution were excellent from beginning to end.
Thank you to the entire team – and especially Gabriel – for making our journey through Kenya such a memorable experience.

We loved our family holiday to Amalfi. Anantara was an amazing hotel with incredible food. Our children were upgraded to a bigger room too, when their original room’s bed couldn’t be split into a twin. Our guide for Pompeii was really knowledgeable and spoke English so clearly. We hired a private boat to Capri for a day which I’d really recommend. Nothing was any trouble. Positano by ferry (ate at Chez Black) and Ravello by taxi (ate at The Garden hotel) were brilliant days out. Thank you to everyone involved for making Amalfi such a brilliant and memorable holiday for us.

Wonderful- had an amazing trip thanks to the exceptional level of organization, special private events, and led by the most wonderful group of guides that are kind, professional, knowledgeable and make everything so memorable. It was all magical!

The A&K team created a seamless experience for us. We were able to see and do so much because of their help and organization, with particular thanks to our liaison Mohamed. The drivers were fantastic and our guide, Mervat Salah, was the best. She was extremely knowledgeable and very fun! It is clear that she has so much pride in Egypt's history and we were fortunate to share in that passion for two days of exploring Cairo and Giza.

Our full journey through Egypt with Abercrombie & Kent exceeded expectations in every aspect. The planning handled by Reem was executed with absolute precision, ensuring seamless logistics, smooth transitions, and smart time management across all destinations.
What truly sets A&K apart is the intellectual caliber of their team. The profound academic depth of the guides—exemplified by Michael in Cairo—transformed the entire itinerary into a premium, deeply immersive cultural experience. For travelers who prioritize efficiency, flawless execution, and genuine expertise from start to finish, A&K is the definitive choice.

We spent over A$100,000 on a three-month South America trip with Abercrombie & Kent, and it ended up being the worst holiday we’ve ever had. Based on our experience, I would not recommend them to anyone looking for a genuinely bespoke luxury travel service.
From the very beginning, it was clear our preferences weren’t being listened to. We specifically said we don’t enjoy guided tours except where absolutely necessary (such as Machu Picchu), yet our itinerary was filled with them. That set the tone for the rest of the trip.
Our first experience in Medellín was arriving at midnight with no airport transfer waiting for us. The hotel chosen also wasn’t suited to us, despite there being a much better option in a more central location for only a small additional cost. Throughout the trip we also experienced constant “meet and greets” where someone would accompany us on transfers or even walk us a few minutes between the airport and hotel. While this may suit some travellers, it was exactly the opposite of what we requested and felt like an unnecessary use of our travel budget rather than a personalised service.
The biggest disappointment was Machu Picchu, which was the highlight we had been looking forward to most. Our guide travelled with us for almost two full days, including train journeys, meals and the luxury Hiram Bingham train, meaning what should have been a special, romantic experience became something we had to share with our guide the entire time. We were never given the choice of a local guide or told our visit would be split over two days. Despite making it clear we dislike early starts, our second entry was booked for 7:30am without any consultation. We ultimately skipped the second visit altogether because of this.
There were also avoidable administrative mistakes, including being told at lunch that our prepaid meal wasn’t included and being asked to either leave or pay in front of other guests before the issue was eventually resolved.
The recurring theme throughout the trip was a complete lack of flexibility and personalisation. We repeatedly felt like we were being fitted into Abercrombie & Kent’s standard process rather than receiving the tailor-made luxury holiday we were promised. For a company that markets itself as providing bespoke, premium travel experiences, the service simply did not justify the price.
There are many excellent luxury travel companies available, and based on our experience, I would strongly recommend considering one of them instead.

My experience was not what was expected having had two great trips with A&K -Morocco and India.
The hotel experience in Lake Maggiore, even though the Hotel La Palma was well situated, it was not of the quality I experienced on my other trips.I especially disliked how the lobby, the lounges, and the dining room were so very hot. I know that the open air concept has its appeal in mild weather, however there was a heat wave occurring.
Some of the dining experiences were not good.
Our first night in Bern we walked to a nearby restaurant which had outdoor seating but we were regulated to a crowded indoor spot at the back of the restaurant no windows, no air. The food would be described as mediocre. Our first night in Stresa we again walked to our restaurant. It was a narrow small restaurant, doors wide open, heat pouring in from street and kitchen, and so much noise from crashing plates, and service people talking loudly. I could barely hear my seat mates conversation. And once again the food was mediocre.
Our first night in Zermatt we were crowded into a small area which could not accommodate the whole group - a table for two was setup outside the group area. Consequently, that twosome decided not to stay. They reported they found a lovely place to dine. On a positive note our luncheon above Interlaken was delicious and the restaurant and location was charming - a real winner.
Our tours on the whole were acceptable except for two instances. The walking tour of Bern was too long and moreover did not end back at the hotel, but ended far away at the bottom of a long trek back up hill. Our guide did tell us how to get back to the hotel using public transportation. It is my opinion this information should have been given to us before we ever left the hotel instead of the haphazard last minute way it was given. Finally our last day the timing of our tour, I believe to be ill conceived. I did not appreciate having the morning free therefore starting our tour at 3:15 consequently ending our tour around 9:00 PM. I was looking forward to our farewell dinner. A dinner where one usually dresses up. Instead, because of the tour itinerary, we were advised to wear comfortable clothing - which I did. By the end of the dinner with a restaurant with no air conditioning most of my fellow travelers and I were dripping wet and very uncomfortable. I would suggest that the tour should have taken place in the morning returning to our hotel in the early afternoon. That would have allowed us time to pack, and shower for a comfortable dinner somewhere with air conditioning

Our trip to Sicily was just what we wanted - and more. Ruins, wineries, museums - Rose Forbes and Christine Ismail created a perfect time.
Allesandia was our Guardian Angel for our coming and going. Constantino drove us to Syracuse.
The Maniace Hotel in Ortigia was delightful as was the waiting bottle of Prosecco. Our large balcony was across the street from the Ionian Sea, just right for wine and cheese. Breakfast was varied and delicious.
Galina Samokhvalova was our guide extraordinaire in Syracuse, Ragusa, and Modica; every good adjective pertains to her. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and steeped in history both past and present. She was one of the best guides we've had - ever. Renato was a good driver,
Michael was our guide on Republic Day in Syracuse and Taormina, giving us in depth information in an understandable way.
Martine gave us a different slant on Taormina with not only history but the historical people as well.
Cottanera Winery was very good with a view of Mt. Etna through a large window while we tasted (and bought) the wine.
Ernie and I were sad to leave lovely Sicily; we plan to go back for a longer time.
Thank you for your work for our pleasure.

26th May 26 : Cruise: Exploring the Wild Coasts of the British Isles”, and it was truly a fantastic experience. The itinerary was outstanding, each day more beautiful than the last, and perfectly curated with exceptional care. The perfect balance between fascinating excursions, enriching lectures, and refined comfort on board made this journey truly unique and memorable.
A&K has once again confirmed itself as a leader in luxury expedition cruising: everything was organized with great attention to detail, passion, and professionalism. The daily briefings were precise and delivered with genuine enthusiasm, while the comfort and elegance on board were superb. A special thank you goes to the entire onboard team — from the expedition staff and expert guides to the excursion desk, the embarkation/disembarkation crew, all the ship’s personnel and to reservation office before cruise. Thank you very much

Japan was a fantastic experience, and Abercrombie and Kent and our very own Harry made it perfect. All the transfers worked perfectly, and he kept in touch throughout and made sure all was going well. We cannot recommend Harry enough at Abercrombie and Kent enough, so perfect, especially with Harry at the helm. Thank you, Harry, 🤩

Very rarely these days does something exceed expectations. Our trip to China did just that. The whole experience was exceptional.

We have just returned from our 4th holiday with A&K - it was fantastic!
We travelled to Peru; 2 days in Lima, flight to Cusco, 2 nights in Sacred Valley, 2 nights Aguas Caliente, 2 days exploring Maccu Picchu, luxury train back to Cusco.
Then flew to Iquitos for 3 nights on the boat Pure Amazon, exploring the Amazon river & jungle wildlife and local villages. Skiff (with powerful outboard motors) excursions were very educational & exhilarating - 4 excursions each day were available. The food on board was exceptionally nice. We thoroughly recommend the Pure Amazon experience.
Throughout our holiday, every A&K employee and the freelance guides organised by A&K were fantastically friendly and knowledgeable.
In particular, we would like to thank Pamela (A&K's guardian angel in Cusco) for helping us greatly when our flight back to Lima was cancelled due to fog, which meant we missed our connecting flight (Lima to Iquitos) in turn at risk of missing the Pure Amazon cruise completely. Despite the fact that we had missed the boat's departure (by about 6 hours), Pamela organised with the Pure Amazon people to pick us up from Iquitos airport & still get us to the boat (combination of driving & skiff) by midnight!!! We cannot imagine that any other company would have taken this much effort - **very much appreciated**
Amongst the numerous A&K personnel, beside Pamela we would also like to mention & thank:
* Sara (A&K guardian angel in Lima)
* Mitchell (freelance guide in Lima)
* 'Q' (freelance guide in Sacred Valley & Cusco)
* Vilma (fabulous freelance guide in Maccu Picchu)
* Victor (A&K's naturalist/guide on Pure Amazon)
* All of the Pure Amazon crew, in particular the restaurant staff who are so friendly & helpful.
Finally, we would like to thank Imogen Oates (A&K's travel consultant) who put together the magical itinerary for us.

This was a very special trip for my wife and me, and A&K helped our dream come true.
After carefully listening to our requirements, the itinerary was developed with care and consideration. We covered 4 locations in Indonesia, and the accommodation our travel arrangements were excellent.
As with most Asian trips, the weakest link is often the local agent. In our experience, the day to day communication was unfortunately not as efficient as A&K. This was a minor irritant to an amazing adventure.

I’ve just returned from an incredible trip to China, filled with so many amazing experiences. Everything was perfectly organized, and the locations were expertly selected to match my preferences, all thanks to Neil and his outstanding professionalism. Since I happened to break my arm right before departure and was traveling alone, the agency also arranged transfers with assistance for my luggage at every station and airport. Truly exceptional service!Lora
