Very rarely these days does something exceed expectations. Our trip to China did just that. The whole experience was exceptional.

We have just returned from our 4th holiday with A&K - it was fantastic!
We travelled to Peru; 2 days in Lima, flight to Cusco, 2 nights in Sacred Valley, 2 nights Aguas Caliente, 2 days exploring Maccu Picchu, luxury train back to Cusco.
Then flew to Iquitos for 3 nights on the boat Pure Amazon, exploring the Amazon river & jungle wildlife and local villages. Skiff (with powerful outboard motors) excursions were very educational & exhilarating - 4 excursions each day were available. The food on board was exceptionally nice. We thoroughly recommend the Pure Amazon experience.
Throughout our holiday, every A&K employee and the freelance guides organised by A&K were fantastically friendly and knowledgeable.
In particular, we would like to thank Pamela (A&K's guardian angel in Cusco) for helping us greatly when our flight back to Lima was cancelled due to fog, which meant we missed our connecting flight (Lima to Iquitos) in turn at risk of missing the Pure Amazon cruise completely. Despite the fact that we had missed the boat's departure (by about 6 hours), Pamela organised with the Pure Amazon people to pick us up from Iquitos airport & still get us to the boat (combination of driving & skiff) by midnight!!! We cannot imagine that any other company would have taken this much effort - **very much appreciated**

This was a very special trip for my wife and me, and A&K helped our dream come true.

After carefully listening to our requirements, the itinerary was developed with care and consideration. We covered 4 locations in Indonesia, and the accommodation our travel arrangements were excellent.

As with most Asian trips, the weakest link is often the local agent. In our experience, the day to day communication was unfortunately not as efficient as A&K. This was a minor irritant to an amazing adventure.

I’ve just returned from an incredible trip to China, filled with so many amazing experiences. Everything was perfectly organized, and the locations were expertly selected to match my preferences, all thanks to Neil and his outstanding professionalism. Since I happened to break my arm right before departure and was traveling alone, the agency also arranged transfers with assistance for my luggage at every station and airport. I was set to go on the A & K Patagonia trip on 2/20/26. I found out that I had a herniated disc and had to have an epidural so that I could go on my trip. Unfortunately my health care provider could not fit me in until February, but still in time to go on the trip. I was able to get an earlier date in. January, but unfortunately, Kaiser (my provider) went on strike and told me that I couldn’t get in till the strike ends and my appointment won’t be until late March at the earliest. My pain management doctor tried to give me another type of epidural shortly before I was supposed to leave, but it didn’t work and due to my condition, he said I can’t travel anywhere for a month. My travel agent contacted A & K and thru her I asked for them to keep the money and I will book another time. I had her tell them that even if the price goes up, I will just pay more when I can go. She told me that A & K refused to let me book it for another time. Thus, they kept the money. Thus with extras, I was out $6,000 after my insurance paid the policy limits of $15,000. I am not pleased. I have been told by many people that they have had similar situations and the travel company always just keeps the $ and you can rebook at another time. I think this is bad customer service. They just said no. No explanation other than it is not their policy from what I’m told. I was able to get the epidural and was able to leave on March 5th for South America to do the rest of the planned trip in other parts of S.A. I am upset that I didn’t get any opportunity to reset the trip and save my $. It would have been a win win as I thought this would be a company that I would use in many places as they are solo travel friendly and I do several tours a year. I'm just disappointed in this company.

Abercrombie & Kent was Rolls Royce from start to finish. Maya Choudhury my travel consultant contact at the company was on permanent standby from the moment I decided to book myself onto the 'Turkey: A Journey Through History' trip.' Each time I contacted her by email with a pre-travel query, she responded immediately. I received constant informative emails from her with explicit details about my travel arrangements until I got my detailed Final Itinerary and my online Turkish Airline tickets. The whole process was seamless and anxiety free. After the excellent flight, I was picked up at Istanbul airport and driven to the first five star hotel of my trip: The Four Seasons. The following morning, I met Toplum Biner, the Tour Director/guide, and the rest of the international small Group, who proved to be lovely travelling companions. We all got on so well, the entire group exchanged emails at the end of the trip. Although the Schedule was tightly concentrated with historical site seeings and flying around the country to ogle them, thanks to Toplum's fascinating knowledge, unflappable guide and direction, we all felt safe and truly well looked after. I had always wanted to visit Turkey, and this trip stuffed with classical and ancient wonders of the world was a breath taking journey from start to finish. I shall definitely be using Abercrombie & Kent again.

What made our trip to Southeast Asia exceptional was, first and foremost, our Senior Travel Consultant, Harry Ryan. He was knowledgeable, thorough, and took the time to understand the individual needs and interests of each member of our group of six. In addition, Harry clearly has deep familiarity with Southeast Asia, which was evident throughout the itinerary, the quality of the guides, and the seamless attention to detail.

The guides that A&K uses were outstanding overall, with special recognition due to Hen in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Hen was remarkably insightful, personable, and passionate about the history and culture of Cambodia, which greatly enriched our experience there.

Our SE Asia adventure was our 2nd Abercrombie and Kent trip. As with our Africa trip, SE Asia surpassed all of my expectations. The history, charm & people captured my heart.

The single most important part of the success and joy of our trip was due to Harry who from the start made the planning fun and informative. He took the time to get to know the 6 of us in our group and tailor a trip that balanced our various expectations. He did a superb job. Simply put, he cared!

Every detail from being met at the airports to the amazing and professional guides and drivers in each city to the various sightseeing and dining experiences was fine tuned. And WOW the hotels were amazing.

We are already thinking about our next A&K adventure!

Our experience traveling through Southeast Asia with Harry Ryan as our travel consultant was exceptional in every sense of the word. The entire trip was thoughtfully curated, seamlessly executed, and transformative in the way that only meaningful travel can be.

From the beginning, it was evident that Harry possessed not only remarkable expertise but also a genuine passion for this part of the world. His knowledge of the region’s customs, culture, history, and iconic sights elevated every part of the experience for us. The pace of the trip allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in each destination.

What stood out most was the level of insight and care that went into every single detail. The itinerary reflected someone who knows Southeast Asia very well and understands how to create experiences that are enriching, memorable, and so much fun! The synergy of the trip, from the beautiful accommodations to the excellent guides to the transitions between destinations, was reflective of the outstanding Abercrombie & Kent experience we have come to value so highly.

This was our second extraordinary trip with A&K, and we are beginning to plan our third. We would not consider traveling with anyone else.

Great experience to Peru, Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. We would have liked more information prior to departure (we enjoy pouring over all the little details, perhaps not the usual A& K customer). But, once the journey was underway it was perfect. Great boots on the ground people in Peru, great accommodations, food, activities. We highly recommend.

The worst experience. We stayed at Chief's camp in March, everything went wrong, no customer service, we lost a lot of money and nobody was responsible for anything. This camp I should mention changed ownership, and was previously a really great place - before this owner moved in. I would never again travel with this company

We have used A&K many times in the past and have had mostly good experiences.
Recently we contacted them about a Tailor Made trip to Morocco. The agent said she was going to work up an itinerary and get back to us. We never heard from her, contacted her 2x additional times, no response. We tried to contact the manager in charge of the Tailor Made trips and received no response.
A&K has lost it and us.

A&K offered a fantastic front to back experience. Emma was fantastic throughout. She was highly knowledgable and able to guide me throughout the process

Booking the trip was easy and able to get exactly what I wanted. The trip was customised to our requirements, with additional extras included as needed.

The holiday itself was flawless with all A&K staff in Egypt so kind, caring and helpful. The guides they used in particular were brilliant, helping bring the history to life.

Highly recommend using A&K and thanks to Emma Tomlinson-Knight for making it such a special trip.

This was our first trip with Abercrombie & Kent. We had a fantastic Galapagos tour
aboard the Ecoventura yacht Theory, a beautiful boat. The entire staff of thirteen were exceptional. Our adventure guides, Jose Luis and Billy were incredibly knowledgeable about the Galapagos and the amazing wildlife in this extraordinary place. Our five snorkeling adventures were superb. Hats off to A & K!

What a company and what an experience! Chris put together the most amazing trip to Zambia Victoria Falls Botswana and Mozambique! I was right to trust in all his expertise and knowledge as it was perfect ! Quiet exclusive lodges/ larger lodges for the best elephant and Chobe River experience and a slice of Heaven in Mozambique. I will always use A&K going forward. Their care and guidance is second to none and their altruistic investment in the local community is admirable.

The initial booking was a pleasure with lots of ideas from Neil and tweaks were quickly initiated. The in-country (Vietnam) guides and hotels were second to none and I would highly recommend. I wouldn't hesitate to book again with A&K.

This was my first adventure (Classic Japan) with A&K and I am planning for many more. From my first telephone contact with A&K (Spencer Stewart) to my return flight home, everything was handled with the utmost professionalism. A&K booked my flights using the exact parameters I gave them. The airport pickup was efficient and smooth. The choice of hotels was top-notch. The food was outstanding. The daily tours were fun and memorable. Our guide (Chizuru "Cheers") was the best guide I have ever used in any country. Her daily lessons in Japanese culture, history, and language were not only useful but enjoyable. I was fighting to hold back tears when it was time to say goodbye to her.

I've always planned my own travel but the complications of moving around the African continent impelled me toward A&K. Boy, was that a good choice!  Africa specialist Joanne Stephens took me in hand. She put me into five top notch accommodations, including three safari camps. There was no roughing it at these camps. The 'tents' were palatial and the staffs at each one outstanding: hard-working, highly competent and warmly hospitable.  The camp guides not only know how to spot the game, but also how to anticipate its behaviour - what might happen next, for example, if we stuck around a little longer. As for travel between lodgings, there was always an A&K transfer expert on hand or, at the camps, an A&K-briefed staff to get me where I was supposed to go. This experience was something special. I may never self-plan a trip again.

The itinerary, the guides and the drivers were all great. They were friendly and personable. Loves every minute.

An amazing African adventure for a family group, which exceeded all expectations. Organised so it was seamless and stress free. Taking in some amazing highlights of Cape Town the Wine lands and the incredible Ivory Lodge at Sabi Sands. The guides were amazing, the recommendations superb and the trip was tailored for our group so that it had elements of adventure, food appreciation, culture history and relaxation. All in all incredible!!
