I hired a Mazda 2 Estate for three weeks from the very friendly staff, apparently this is classed as a family car. I was charged GDP 199 per week with an additional GDP 40 per week for the auto gearbox. So GDP 239 per week, I could have bought the car for less. Not sure where you would fit a family and luggage in a car this size. The car was 12 years old, bumper bars were held on with cable ties, air conditioner didn't work, triptronic auto gearbox was tired, the Sat Nav provided was old and continually led me astray. I didn't have enough confidence in the car to take it out of Cornwall. All in all NOT a happy experience. Be sure to know what you are getting and how much you are paying.

Excellent Service! We hired a car for a week, and would have no hesitation in recommending this family business to others. We were met at arrivals at Newquay airport. The admin was straightforward and we were shown to our car - it was an (automatic) renault scenic. When I expressed concern that we had never driven an automatic, Alan came with us on a spin around the airport car park - making sure we were both confident on the controls before leaving us to explore Cornwall. The car was great and we had no problems with it, and it had heaps of space for our luggage.

Reliable , good value and very helpful. I now use AB Car Hire whenever I need to rent a car in Cornwall. They make the whole process quick and easy. Great.
