Laptop Repair stopped touch screen working - and they haven't fixed this for me
I took my laptop to Ability when it suffered some kind of access denied attack. The staff in the shop were friendly and upbeat and the access issue was resolved for £60. However, while fixing: files weren't secured & I lost many irreplaceable photos; Windows 10 was installed without asking me so I lost 'Word' (which you'll know is very expensive to replace now). Worst of all, the wonderful touch screen facility had been somehow disabled and hasn't worked since, although it should surely have been checked at the end of the repair process. I've tried every hack I know to no avail - and have contacted Ability about fixing this for me, but they haven't replied AT ALL. I understand that things might be missed during busy days, but Ability should surely just say 'sorry, we messed up' and make this right, shouldn't they? Now I'm going to have to pay another repair shop to fix a problem they created, which I feel very, very upset about.
