Recently passed my Level 2 plumbing and got my diploma with access training, over the moon

I did my nvq level 3 electrics training at edenbridge, my trainer Charles was fantastic! He was very approachable, and always ready to help and guide you. Additionally, his sense of humor made the experience much more enjoyable. He explained complex topics in a really easy to understand way whilst also asking thought provoking questions to help you to arrive at the answer yourself, or think about a topic more deeply. When I was feeling overwhelmed and wanted to walk away, he was encouraging and insisted I stay. I am so glad I did. I am excited to move onto the next stage of my training with access training :)

Access training practical assessment held in Edenbridge, taught by Charles has been great! Charles is a great assessor and teacher and have come away from the practical assessment very happy and excited to put it all into practice!

Passed my Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing recently at Edenbridge. I’d like to thank my tutor Callum for helping me and teaching me the ways. Was a fun experience and learned a lot.

Callum was really friendly and easy to get on with and was always willing to share knowledge and help me where ever he could. This made the experience good and enjoyable for me, I would recommend access to anyone who wants to learn a trade.

Was sold training at a location that did not even exist and then made to travel across the country to another centre. I was also pressured by the sales person to accept the course despite learning at my own pace. There are WhatsApp groups with many unhappy students all with similar experiences. Do some research and check Reddit & Twitter before signing up and you will see many comments.

I did my NVQ training at Edenbridge. An amazing learning environment and my trainer/assessor had the most knowledge, not about only the practical application of electrical work but the science of electricity as well; more than any other trainer/teacher I’ve come across.

Great people and good support

Rob teaches basic electrics chalk and talk, no slides, straight out of his head, which tells you plenty after 15 years on the tools. Day one he taught potential difference with two spray can lids and four pence worth of Costco water, and when a student poked a hole in the analogy he admitted straight away where it stops working rather than bluffing. He's also genuinely funny, which is no small thing when you're three hours in.

Brian has the inspector's background and around 25 years behind him, and it shows in his examples, like the outfits that whizz round schools in the six week shutdown PAT testing everything with a plug top and walking straight past the hard wired hand dryers. He's strict on the right terminology too, because site language and exam language aren't the same thing. Both take the time on questions no matter what. Brian will tell you there's no such thing as a stupid question and stay on after the session to finish answering, Rob picks them out of the chat by name as he goes.

Two tutors who are as good as each other and genuinely want you to get it.

As a complete neuby to electrics. I have not completed the qualification yet but have really enjoyed the taught lessons by Rob and Brian (with Zakia supporting). It was really good to have the two different styles of teaching to break up what are really good sized and planned out 3h bites of teaching - very content heavy. Despite this part (underpinning theory) being solely online, I have felt totally supported.

Having access to the recorded lessons, teaching materials and Q&A sessions following the teaching is also reassuring - I am not being left out in the cold until exams!

Very well laid out lessons, clearly an established course with great materials set at the right level. You can see it is still evolving, keeping up with the times so not stale. Nice mix of real examples peppered in so no opportunities to get sleepy! Would totally recommend this course.

The rest is up to me, lets see if I pass!

Brian and Rob have been my instructors on electrics, they are brilliant I never would i have thought I would understand so much about this subject, that is down to good teaching thank you both

Just completed the electrical NVQ3 course theory. Both instructors Rob and Brian make the course entertaining and informative. I would thoroughly recommend anyone interested in taking the electrical NVQ to take this course with them.

Dr Charles Usigbe is a great teacher and assessor, very knowledgeable, kind and supportive. He was always ready to go extra miles during the training to help me learn and understand everything clearly. He provided excellent training in both theory and practical aspects and guided me through my NVQ level 3 diploma in core electrics practical exercises .He did a fantastic job throughout my training at Access training Academy Edenbridge centre.

Brian and Rob, on the basic electrical course, have been brilliant, so knowledgeable, as Richard Feynman said, if you can’t explain something in simple terms,you don’t really understand the subject.
These guys do exactly that, thoroughly enjoyed the course so far

These guys aren’t just gas course instructors. They’re the Dynamic Duo of domestic heroics — fighting unsafe installations, carbon monoxide villains and “that’ll-do” pipework one copper pipe at a time. Whenever an issue reared its ugly head they flue into action. No hesitation. No drama. Just instant, textbook-perfect intervention.
Knowledge under pressure? They thrive on it. Ignition problems? They spark solutions. Tightness? They won't even lose 1mbar while maintaining 20.
The atmosphere in the workshop was so congenial that even the ASDs were at ease. From installation volume to the purging (x1.5), they let by constant enthusiasm (7-10mbar) without a drop, no leaks here (or leeks).
Holy FSD, Batman — if every gas engineer had teachers like Ian and Simon, the nation’s boilers would sleep a lot more soundly at night.

I am doing an electric course with Access Training. Staff are very helpful with technical and website issues. It's a very hard course that we need to put loads of effort in, with loads of self studying. However, my teachers Rob and Brian are amazing and they are very professional and make the study interesting . I have learnt a lot from the course.

Rob and Brian that run the electrician training are some of the best teachers I've had, both very knowledgeable, entertaining and incredibly patient. couldn't recommend access any more
