I recently had a over the phone…

I recently had a over the phone experience with an ace hardware moffett rd location ,mobile,al representative by the name of Jacob, I never ever have experienced the kind of service provided to me. I required advise and assistance with a plumbing issue at my home, long story short the patience and courtesy to solve my concern was unsurpassed by anything I have ever experienced in any retail environment. Thank you Jacob!

The store at Alameda and Broadway is…

The store at Alameda and Broadway is closing it's doors for food. That apparently gives the employees the right to chase a customer out of the store and cuss her out over the shopping cart she was using. I spent over $100 and was treated worse than a shoplifter.

$6k order - fiasco fixed!

Sometimes, there is NO replacement for a REAL person who has the right attitude!

Ordered Ego Z6 ($5,500) from Ace's website. Transaction got delayed in their system, somehow. Dealer had the product in stock, was ready to deliver, but corporate wouldn't "approve" the release of the order. Days went by and they still hadn't released it. They told me it would be ready on the 9/16. Well, as of the 15th, they still hadn't released the order. Dealer told me they were NOT going to make the 16th and that it would be delayed another 5 days - all because corporate hadn't released the transaction. Called their 800 number - got the call center - Very poor experience. CANCELLED the order due to the poor personal interaction with the Call Center. Made one final attempt by calling Ace corporate offices - Barbara there is my hero! She got ALL of the red tape cleared away with ONE phone call. I was able to go directly to the store/dealer and purchase from them - with the same online special discount. THANK YOU Barbara for picking up the phone and helping! Sometimes it just takes a REAL person, in the right spot, with the right attitude, to really help!

Ordering fertilizer

I’ve been a customer for 20 years in that time the last 12 to 15 years I have had great service and could order everything that I needed if you stocked it last week I ordered 20 bags of milarganite fertilizer the employees who ordered it where great as usual Adam and missie where told that corp did not allow them to order more than 7 bags a time. Last spring and many years before I ordered 20 bags in the spring and in the fall no problem the two employees are great I can count on them always that is 40 bags I buy from you people a year that over 600 $ not counting all the other times I go to ACE . If I have to order 7 bags from you people a time I will take my business some where else. As a paying customer I should be able to order as much as I need if I am able to pay for you think?

Nice Job Gig Harbor Ace

I frequent the Ace Hardware store in Gig Harbor Washington. I have always been helped by knowledgeable staff. If someone is not sure they would call someone on the radio and a experienced and knowledgeable employee would be there in seconds. Not everyone can know everything, and not every employee knows all the products in the store. So on occasions the employess that have experience and the knowledge would get together with me to meet my needs to match the demands of my project. I have never been fully let down other than them not having something in stock when I need it. At least they do their best to always accommodate my high demands. Yes I demand the utmost quality of the materials and products that I purchase. I am just a little picky I guess. Returns and exchanges have never been an issue for me either. I get what I pay for and expect of an item or I want a suitable replacement or refund and I have always been accomadated. I rate my experiences at the Gig Harbor Location as a 5-star Experience every time!!!

Ace offered a bonus if i would fill out…

Ace offered a bonus if i would fill out a customer survey form and so i filled out the form. I was offered several choices of rewards and I selected a smartwatch. I filled in the proper info for "shipping and handling fees" (my first mistake), and the site refused payment twice.

this is obviously a scam and fraud . do NOT fall for it!!!!

Purchased Ego 24” hedge trimmer earlier…

Purchased Ego 24” hedge trimmer earlier this week and it arrived at local Ace store today, however paid for it 3 days ago. Asked salesman about warranty and he relied contact Ego with any issues not us. I asked if I get it home and it doesn’t work can I bring it back, his answer “ I already told you that”.

Ace Hardware in Edgewater Md just…

Ace Hardware in Edgewater Md just happens to be closer than going to Lowes or Home Depot. But I usually end up going to them anyhow. Ace stocks just enough for you to need to run to a big box store. Their prices are always high and their Value Reward cards expire typically two weeks after you receive them in the mail.

I purchased a replacement key fob 2 1/2…

I purchased a replacement key fob 2 1/2 months ago and the key stopped working. It has left my daughter stranded at school. The Duncanville/Dallas locate told me that the warranty is for 2 weeks. This was not discussed when I purchased the key nor did I receive anything in writing saying it was good for 2 weeks. I paid nearly $200 dollars. Alex, the manager, originally offered to refund the money if I could bring him the key. He called back and said that the owner and corporate said he couldn't. This was the 1st time I had used Ace in a long time. I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN. I now have to ship a broken key to her to try and get the car to a location to get the key fob reprogrammed. I was told that was my responsibility.

Broken Craftsman 3300 PSI Pressure…

Broken Craftsman 3300 PSI Pressure Washer. We bought it July 2nd and went to use it July 3rd but it is not working. Ace employees and manager in Big Lake, AK said it now a warranty issue. Craftsman claims it’s a Honda motor and now their issue. I purchased another at Home Depot whom has customer service to replace damaged merchandise. $450 wasted as Ace Hardware offers no support. I am making sure to tell all of our contractors we will no longer buy from Ace Hardware. Buyer beware of any major purchases in these chains.

Bait and Switch!!!

I ordered the EGO lawn mower from their website to be delivered on Jun 30 from the Sun City store (although I have an Ace in Riverview???) . On Jun 29, I received an email stating the order was canceled (sale ended yesterday). I contacted the store to find out why it was cancelled, no one seemed to know. To my shock and surprise, I was then offered to drive to the store and purchase the item because it was actually in stock...I was even offered the SALE price!!! So I drove there within the hour before something else changed. Upon arrival, I paid for the item and was about to load but something was telling me this was too good to be true...so I checked the model number. They actually tried to slip me an INFERIOR model for the same price, which was the inferior's regular price. After I confronted them on this BAIT and SWITCH technique, employee 36186 tried to convince me there was no difference between the mowers...get real..sounded desperate to make a sale. Then all of a sudden, he knew why the order was canceled...it was not loaded on their (today's) receiving truck for delivery tomorrow! To my dismay, he seemed agitated that his plan didn't work. I had not purchased anything from ACE in years, mostly because they are small but seem to have decent customer service...until now...I will NOT bother considering them for ANY purchases in the future. I didn't realize their overall rating was 2 stars...now I know why.

warranty lies

I bought a 12 piece torx bit set that has a life time warranty. I had one break went to two different stores they both refused to take care of. Called the customer service line they said stores did not have to stand by company policy. So don't trust anything from this company.

Catalina AZ

Catalina AZ. Ace Hdwr.
I called to check availability of some parts, helped by asst. Mgr., took a while to verify stock. When I got there I found one part was as I expected (1/4" x 3/8" push/push connector) but the tubing he had with it was not as expected for this type of PUSH x PUSH fitting. It was a softer CLEAR TYGON type. So, long story short, I pay, take it home and assemble, pressurize and it blows apart. Reassemble again and verify it's fully inserted and pressurize again and same thing.
Also, you don't use clear tubing for water unless
you don't care if algae grows inside it.

Ace hardware was once my ‘Go to Store’

Ace hardware Use to be my go to store. Ordered Benjamin Moore paint less than a year ago- needed to paint a hallway and we’re not able to match the walls. Now I need to touch up the walls - unfortunately my wife threw out the can. Ace does not keep records of the paint formulas customers ordered just the fact that paint was ordered. Although one could say the paint could be matched - not exactly easy or doable as I have discovered

In addition, I feel like a troublemaker when I go in there - given the lack of answers to my questions. For example, I needed to darken paint that I purchased for closet doors last night- and called to ask if they would add a dark tint. Put me on hold and then in VM - Really? Like I need Ace given the number of competing stores Off to Sherman Williams . Very Sad to see this change.

Avoid Branson Ace Hardware. They like to Discriminate

I went to Branson Ace Hardware on Saturday May 7th 2022. The lady who's name tag I was able to read and the gentleman who's name tag I couldn't read stated I had to puchase something if I come in. They also said that backpacks/bags aren't allowed in the store and everyone with backpacks/bags had to leave them outside.

Nice local shop with helpful employees

Since moving to a rural area, the local Ace Hardware shop has been a great help in maintaining my house and yard and providing occasional craft supplies. While it doesn't offer as many options as Home Depot which is located farther away, the employees are always helpful and products are usually of good quality. They were also good about returns when I bought one of their store brand products that was flawed.

Lies and empty promises

I ordered online from them because they were the only supplier that said they could get the stuff to be in time. long story short they missed 3 delivery dates didn't get me the stuff on time and to apologize offered me a $50 credit on a purchase over a $1000. In the process of trying to fix it I spoke to probably 6 or 7 people. half of them were rude the other half told me they would do things that they never did.

We had a store credit for $10. Unfortunately they didn't tell us we had to save the credit receipt or they would not honor it even though we have an account with them. We won't be back.

Excellent Service/Thanks John!

Most of the time going to a large hardware store, it's difficult to find someone to help you, and when you do they just point you in the direction of what is needed.
Today was a completely different story going to Ace Hardware in Thousand Oaks. When I walked in, someone was there asking if they could help, when I mentioned what I was looking for they guided me to John, who worked in the tool department. To my surprise John was incredible, not only did he show me what I needed he gave options on the item to make sure I didn’t purchase something that was more expensive than I needed. He also asked if I needed anything else and when I said yes, he guided me once again, it was like having a personal guide through the store. I don’t normally write reviews but I was so impressed with John’s knowledge and patience’s I felt compelled to write a review.
