I ordered a Massachusetts notary…

I ordered a Massachusetts notary embosser from Acorn Sales. The website prominently displays compliant layouts that include the commission expiration wording. During checkout, I entered my expiration date and reasonably believed it would be engraved.

The embosser I received was a “name only” layout that requires a separate expiration stamp to meet statutory requirements. While the company cited their order confirmation and policy, the layout distinction was not clearly emphasized during the purchasing process.

The embosser itself also produces a relatively light impression on standard paper, which may be a concern for high volume notaries.

Customer service was responsive, but ultimately only offered a partial discount toward purchasing a second embosser rather than resolving the misunderstanding.

Future buyers should carefully review the layout selection options before placing an order.
