This is for the Haverhill office, I can't comment on the other branches. In dealings with the Adams Harrison Haverhill office, their attitude can best be described as belligerent, unhelpful and uncooperative. That causes delays. They ask questions (which is fine) but then don't bother to read the replies. Weeks go by and they only respond when prompted. This adds weeks of delay. If you're wondering why house transactions take so long, look no further than Adams Harrison, they can and will delay every step of the process.

Jack Stewart, property partner in the Saffron Walden office, expertly dealt with the sale of our London flat (which was not straightforward due to the Building Safety Act) and our onward purchase. The level of communication was excellent, and legal secretary Jess was very good at keeping in touch with us on the phone during a nerve wracking process, taking away lots of the stress and unease unfortunately associated with house moves. I have already recommended the firm to family members, and whilst I hope I won’t have to move house again for some time (!) if I did, I would want Jack on my side.

Cathy and Michelle provided amazing customer service and were attentive and helpful throughout our entire home-buying experience! Thank you both for all your help - I would highly recommend Adams Harrison to anyone wanting to buy/sell a property.

Jack Stewart (Partner in the Residential Property team) is an excellent solicitor and I would highly recommend him for any conveyancing job. Our house purchase was not straight forward at all, and he provided very considered and helpful legal advice throughout. He is particularly good at providing a sensible commercial view, as opposed to one that is overly legalistic, illustrating that he really puts himself in his clients’ shoes and is concerned with their best interests. He is readily available when you need him, and very good at picking up matters immediately when you ring him out of the blue. He and the rest of the Adams Harrison team in Saffron Walden are very well organised and work efficiently - overall a excellent client service. We are very grateful to Jack for all his support and hard work, and will be returning to him gladly whenever we need a property lawyer in future.

Conveyancing. Avoid. Ask anyone involved in buying or selling houses their reputation is well earned. Any involvement of them in any part of the chain will have an impact. Please consult friends, family, estate agents and any solicitors you may know before considering engaging with them or getting involved in a chain where they are representing anyone.

We had an unexpectedly difficult house and land sale, over 18 months, due to a poor land contract. Jack Stewart and Jenny Carpenter at the Saffron Walden office were extremely supportive, helpful, professional and compassionate in their approach to all they did. All has been resolved and we would not hesitate to recommend this company. They have restored my belief in solicitors!

Recently used Adams Harrison to purchase our first property. Our solicitor Matt Darmon was so helpful and always very prompt replying to our queries and concerns. He was very personalable and supportive through what was a difficult buying process (due to unresponsive sellers and council). His PA Karen Greaves was great also - very friendly and informative. Will definitely use them again in the future.

Bad. We used these solicitors to purchase a commercial property, not only have we paid for it in May and still do not own it at Land registry in December, they didn't file paperwork in time and now we have to prove we are not insolvent! what an absolute shambles and a total embarrassment. We have no idea how this will affect us in future or they have no urgency to fix these problems for us, they held us to ransom saying that if we didn't pay their invoice they wouldn't sort out the problems they themselves caused. The worst most unprofessional company we have ever used.

So far not going very well. The solicitor who's currently handling our Will seems to always be away on holiday and there's nobody to fill in the place, so there's delays until they return 🙄

The worst ever experience, didn't do anything that was asked didn't listen, unhelpful, abrupt, condescending, just wanted paying for a job they didn't do, friends with other judges in the Cambridge area, a very distressful experience which is still going on after 15 years
