Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Advertised for £1850 a month but ... Ops... it was £2000!

Property offer declided (or rather denied) due to "an error in the system".
The property was advertised for £1850 a month (on their website, on Zoopla and on Rightmove!).
I did the viewing and then I submitted the offer for the asked rental rate.
One day later, the holding deposit was sent.
All good, all proceeding with references check but, in the end, - the property price all of a sudden was £2000 because (and the agent owned the blame) that was the meant price so my offer had to be rejected UNLESS I was going to accept on the £2000 a month.
Worst possible thing could ever happen to somebody that needs to leave the current property in less than a week.
Holding deposit was promptly refunded in full the next day.
(Checking if this behaviour is in conflict with the now forbidden "bidding war")
