A skilled leak detection and repair firm and engineer

We required a specialist leak detection company after a plumber said that was required for our leak problem.
When contacted there was a quick response preceded by a careful and detailed explanation of the likely cost.
When the engineer, Mark Pavitt, arrived he identified the source quickly and then repaired it which involved much persistence and skilled work due to the awkward access of the site of the leak and the fact that the leak was in old lead piping set into the brick wall.

Excellent service

Excellent service, had years of people saying we needed a new main roof / flat roof. In an hour Mathew had found 3-4 points of water ingress recommending simple silicon / bitumen repairs.

Saved us £££ in repairs that would not have solved the problem.

Expensive repair

Had a repair. The plumber was nice. The pipe had a leak by the stop valve in the kitchen. He replaced the pipe and stop valve. I paid £714 to find leak which was in front of him. £240 for access when he was sat by it. £60 for repair. This was the quote. They charged me extra £54 for parts 1m pipe and stop valve. Total time for job 75 mins which included going for parts.

Had an underfloor leak in my central…

Had an underfloor leak in my central heating. ADI found the fault on the micro bore between the hall and lounge so decided to re plum the system from the loft and give ADI the job. So called plumber arrived at 7 am andleft at 3 am the following day. He left brick dust everywhere, flooded the hallway, drilled through an electric cable and left dirty marks on the walls in every room. Took 3 more visits by other ADI staff to get the heating to work at all. As last summer was here by the time they finally finished the heating was turned off. Turned the heating September this year, no heat in radiators at all. Called ADI, they wanted £500 to investigate it. Didn’t want their cowboys back in my house so paid a proper heating engineer to fix it. He found it was plumbed all wrong and in fact dangerous.
To sum up ADI are okay to find a leak but rubbish at fixing it.

Mark Pivott showed excellent knowledge…

Mark Pivott showed excellent knowledge and detection info on what the problems were with our recent under floor leak, which the insurance company were refusing to act upon. His report will show that the boiler needs attention when the service people wouldn’t help us, and he will provide evidence that we did have leak. He also linked into their free insurance claims service who will act on our behalf with the insurance company. At least now we have someone on our side.

Potentially saved me a lot of money!

I called this company after a google search for an unexplained leak under a carpet in my hallway. An appointment was set up promptly and the engineer Grant arrived ahead of time on that day.
The issue I had was water laying on a concrete floor soaking through the carpet which happened to be just above an underfloor heating system. I assumed it was coming from the under floor pipes and so did a local plumber. The reason I called Adi pro leak was I was afraid of digging the floor up and finding no leak as the boiler wasn't loosing pressure and just thought they might be worth a call first.
Grant eliminated it being anything to do with the underfloor system as there wasn't enough pressure loss and done various checks on the hot and cold feeds in the rooms next to the hallway. After these all checked out good he found a leak from behind the boiler in an adjacent airing cupboard which is not accessible and could only be seen with a camera, this water was escaping between the tiled floor under the boiler and the skirting board behind the boiler and then travelling under the tiles into the hallway area.
I was then able to contact the boiler installer to start the repair process as the property is not very old.
I didn't expect any further investigation as the source was found and any warranty on the boiler would be void if taken apart.
To sum my experience up with Adi pro leak, the office staff were helpful and the engineer they sent out was reliable, polite, thorough and knew what he was doing.
Would definitely recommend and use again in the future.

Ripped of of £954!!!!

Where do I start?! Do.not.use.this.company!

We were told by our water provider that we were losing 2000L of water per day between our water meter and internal stopcock, so immediately I googled for companies who can detect and fix leaks.
After a telephone call, we were sold that the investigation will be very in depth, using special gas, thermal camera etc and this was confirmed on the phone that they would use based on the info I gave them. They took card details on booking and also confirmed it will definitely be repaired or the pipe will be replaced.

Next day a 'plumber' turns up, he seriously lacked enthusiasm, like he didn't want to be here or doing his job. Immediately told us the testing methods for detection will not be used, he gave the impression that he just couldnt be bothered to do it.
He straight away went under the sink, found what he described as a 'leak' which was a pipe elbow join which barely dripped when he put it under pressure. He assured us that this was the major leak we had, even though it was 100% clearly not loosing 2000L of water per day.
it took him about 2 hours to go to a shop and buy a new elbow, because he didn't come equipped with any spare fittings.

Once finally fitted, he said the leak was fixed and if it was to leak again, we would need to replace the entire pipe under the house. He also said that we would need to find another company to do it if that was the case as he didn't want to do it!

When the money was taken from our bank when he left, they also charged us an addtional £50 for parts which was not communicated at any point. This was for about 20cm of pipe and an elbow costing a couple of quid.

Couple of days later the water provider come to check to find that the water is still leaking from the same pipe and at the same rate as before.

We question this with the 'repair' company and stick to that their 'report' shows there was no longer a leak, it was also said it was pressure tested for a length of time much longer than it really was, (cctv proof) They basically just fobbed us off and said that there was no longer a leak at the end of the day it was 'repaired' and refuse to budge!
We checked his 'repair' and the elbow which was replaced was weeping where it was not even repaired properly.

Honestly, this company have totally ripped us off and we are seeking legal action to get our money back.

They did not provide the full investigation service we were sold.
They did not find a leak which was loosing 2000L per day
They fixed a 'leak' which did not need doing
They lied on their final report
They simply just told us we were wrong when we complained and said that a new leak must have started.

Everything about this company is disgraceful, clearly trying to do as little work as possible with the highest price, with false advertising and lies!

We are now having another company in to replace the entire pipe under the house, which is exactly what this company should have done in the first place
