This website doesn't allow you to connect and meet people in person. Even if you pay. Instead they restrict your profile and act threatening if you ask for help or understanding. They will even take your money and restrict your account if SOMEONE ELSE provides contact info or meet up info. When I inquired their customer service about why my profile got restricted and here is what they said:

Regardless of who initiated, sharing personal contact information for offsite communication is a direct violation of our Terms of Use.

As stated previously, AdultFriendFinder is designed with built-in messaging features to ensure the safety and privacy of all members. Redirecting communication offsite—whether through third-party platforms or personal contact details—is strictly prohibited.

We understand your concerns and appreciate your engagement with the site. However, the restriction was applied in accordance with our policies, which are in place to protect the integrity of the community. This message will remain as your first warning. Any future violations may result in account deactivation without further notice or refund."

They say they will ban your account and KEEP your money if you try to connect and date anyone. How can you date someone if your not allowed to say where to meet up? How can you connect with someone once your in non WIFI/DATA if they dont let you give communication methods?

Ironically there are tons of fake profiles which they allow on the platform but treat YOU like a criminal if you try to arrange a way to actually date or meet someone.

This is a complete scam and I'm surprised they are able to get away with this. They have gotten $100s of dollars from me over the years because i believe i could make connections and soon meet people.

this is one of the very few dating apps out there that proactively makes it so you cannot actually date in person. You find all this out once you try to make connections and find yourself restricted due to trying to go on a date. Imagine (in theory) doing what they say to do which is not share your phone number or messaging app and just using their app and then you say lets meet at a coffee shop.. then they restrict you for saying the location the coffee shop. Its literally impossible to meet people on this AVOID!

The dating site use to be relatively good but it is now terrible. Looks like a money grab scheme. The website is now full of scammers, fake profiles, and inactive members. The membership subscription is not worth it. It’s too expensive for offering nothing. I hope they consider reducing the membership cost which is like two parts — one for being a member and the other to allow standard members contact you. This was not how it used to be when with a membership subscription you can be contacted by standard membership and they can read your messages.

I was a long standing member on AFF and had made a lot of amazing friends.

I used my new Revolut Card to upgrade to gold and thea payment was accepted and I logged in to my account and I got a mail back your account is now on hold contact us!

I contacted customer services and told them I used a new card from Revolut and maybe this the problem?

I was then referred to their Fraud Team and was ask probing questions of which some I was not prepared to give! I did not have to answer some of these questions so I said are you going to open my account or do I need to ask for a refund? They replied there is nothing further to say?

I then notified Resolut and raised a dispute and provided all the evidence including payment accepted, Email saying they shut me down?

This site is in some way very fraudulent themselves. I used a legitimate Resolut card and they treated me like some criminal and this is not appropriate!

I think this site needs to be fully investigated and closed down!

I have tried many sites, some of which are mentioned on Trustpilot. Bottom line is every site is the same in one respect, they never allow you to meet the person. READ the Terms and Conditions. There you will find the company’s caveat that they tell you that you cannot meet the people and they are not real people in the photos. They will also tell you that your information can be shared with affiliate websites, so you’ll get messages from shills on other websites. I’ve tried at least 10 different sites with the same results, too many men and too many shill, fake or non-existent accounts. On AFF I met one woman. All the others are either fake or free members. Even though I had the feature of having free members contact me, still no replies. I was straight up about what I wanted, was tasteful about my intentions and all I got were fake people including two scammers who after messaging back and forth, began requesting money for different things, like gas or plane tickets. I was on for 3 months on the gold plan with an added feature of having free members contact me, still results were miserable. The woman I met decided after one session, she did not want to engage with a married man. WTF, I pointed that out UP FRONT. You are better off engaging in local classes, cruising the stores or simply enjoying things you like to do and meet someone that way. Odds are you’ll do better.

This is the worst site out there. The funny part is they at one time use to be one of the best. They charge you a $70 fee for 6 months so wasn't getting any response because most of the women are standard members and cant respond. I seen this thing well you can add standard members to contact you so I decided to try that but now the problem is 90% of the profile you click on you can't reach. You try searching and you get about 20 females that are close then it goes into women outside your requirement like I supposed to change my mind about what i require. Now I contacted them and asked for a full refund because the site is trash and they offered $31 for the membership and $5 for the standard contact. There response to me is there has been activities on the account, ok how else was I supposed to know its the worst site ever. Im with my bank to get all my money back because I work to hard to be scammed by a website.

This FAKE dating site is so horrible it should be illegal. It's SOOOOO bad. A scammers paradise. SOOOO many fake profiles and scams. TOTAL waste of time.

DO NOT SIGN UP AT AFF.

They get 1 star because I can't seem to give them a 0. Signed up in hopes of finding someone like-minded. Lots of profiles, but most of them were probably fake... however, you can't see them until you upgrade your account. So I dropped a little $$$ and upgraded for a brief period. Then, I discovered that ALL of the accounts were listed as "Profile is unavailable" when you clicked on them. I thought maybe it was a problem with my browser, so I contacted tech support. They insisted that I send them copies of my driver's license and/or passport before they'd help me. Screw that... told them never mind. They immediately responded with "Since you can't comply, we will disable your account immediately." So, they take my money... attempt to steal my personal information... and then steal the paid membership from me. They're nothing but a band of thieves.

This is an honest review after almost a year. Its a Chinese company so ALL your information and photos are being used somewhere without your permission, well if you post a photo they own it.
The majority of female profiles are fake 7 out of 10. They DO NOT stop fake females unless you point out the fake profile to them. There are probably 3-5 times more men than women. The women ALL say they get so many messages they cant keep up. Men maybe will get 1 or 2.
I met 4 ladies in the year, but it took hours and hours of effort. If you are a woman it might be good but Men Stay away. And Did I mention Everything you post is being used in China.
And the app is archaic and crashes every week. In the past 2 months it truly has become unbearably overpopulated by fake profiles. Its next to useless.

Only got one message and that was from a scammer. No one in my area will send me a message. Complete waste of time.

Looking to meet men or couples to have fun with

Company says I violated one of it's rules by mentioning "shared expenses" in a post about a trip. No warnings given. Post was accepted at the time I made it. Then I couldn't sign in later. No email about it. Refused to delete the post.Refused to refund anything.

Trash site. It's a rip off. Men you have to pay. Put 100 words a nude pic to talk or send a message. It's theft. Too many fake accounts and super old people about to die.

Chat rooms 10 men to 1 female is common.
It's gad awful.

Most of the dating sites, and including this one, have AI responses, or paid employees that have one purpose--To run out any credits for the messaging you pay for. These people never have any intention of meeting. Any positive reviews are phony. You are prevented from providing a contact number, or if you spell it funny and it gets through, there will never be a response. No one wants to meet. In the case of this dating site, there are a high number of people close to you, but they are not--because they are all phony.

Hate it. All fakes, nothing but a scam. One of the biggest scams on line. Don't even try it, waste of your time.

I’ve been on and off for one year, half as a paid member. A couple of months ago I realized I could use Googles AI to scan profile photos. NINETY PERCENT OF OF ALL DECENT PICTURES ARE A SCAM. From FB, X, Alibaba, Walmart, Target the list is endless. I report on average 20 to 30 profiles EVERY day and receive confirmation from AFF that they were indeed fraudulent and have removed them. I’ve asked numerous times why they’re not using AI on a massive scale and basically whoever emails from AFF intimates the answer is above their pay grade. In one year I’ve met two people face to face. In that same time I’ve ‘chatted’ with over ONE THOUSAND SCAMMERS. The membership base is huge but the likelihood of finding a match is as likely as a needle in a haystack.
