went there this morning to get battery checked it showed it would need replacing so i decided to do that. (i am a female) The attendant brought a battery that looked old and edges were lifting up just... See more

went to the bellfontaine store in ohio…
went to the bellfontaine store in ohio to return two can of engine ceramic spray paint that after three days it was still running off the metal, the salesmen said he had no one in the store to do a return that day, I woulds have to come back, why would leave a store open if no one can do anything. I hope this co. has not went that low from what they use to be. If that happend when we ran the stores , we would be all fired on the spot.
Appalling service limited refund
Despite all of their promises when it goes wrong you pay.
Even if you put your car's reg number in their search system, select the items it says are the correct ones you're talking a gamble.
When you come to fit them guess what? They don't fit.
On phoning to ask why you've got the wrong part their answer is "you should have called to check before ordering"!!
The on sending them back you don't get a full refund either.
Absolutely disgraceful and utterly unacceptable.
The best parts store around!
Took my car to get new battery and they screwed it up.
Took my car to get new battery. The guy replaced battery then car started sound off. Like it was about to die. So he blamed it all on my alternator. I knew my alternator was just couple years old and recently checked when I had battery checked. So they guy tested alternator and nothing wrong. But he still blamed alternator. Then they did another test and found nothing wrong. Yet continually blamed my car.
Eventually I said - let’s install my old battery. So he did and car runs fine. Yet they kept on blaming my car. So unprofessional. Also really uncaring. After they wrecked my car they wanted me
To remove it ASAP from their lot.
This is a terrible place to shop for car parts. I will never go there again.
Avoid if at all possible - they call the shots
For small purchases I use this chain. But, over the years (and with my last purchase- a car battery as I was desperate at the time).
They simply don't care.
I made a simple request- a copy of a receipt for the battery purchased 3 days ago -( whom I believe is) the manager of the store flatly said "We can't do that." As if I was asking for the keys to the store so I said "Well, this confirms my expectations about your awful customer service." Then we got into it - and good for us - I don't mind making a scene when companies treat their customers like peons.
The company doesn't care about being responsive -so why should the manager? I found his arrogance to be, as they say, par for the course for companies with a large market share that go unchallenged because of their size and hope that a worthy competitor emerges.
Lastly, I came home and did find the receipt- but my review stands.
I would like to commend the store manager
I would like to commend the store manager, Mike, for his excellent service going above and beyond for my problem tonight. First of all, it was raining and second of all, I had no windshield wipers. I had purchased a set of wiprers from Advance several days ago, but couldn't figure out how to install them. Tonight, I was doing my part time gig delivering pizzas and, of couse, it started to rain. I turned my wipers on and all that came up was the arm for the wiper on the driver's side. I forgot I had removed the original wiper and when I couldn't get the new one on, I said a few curse words and left it as is. So tonight, Valentines Day, on one of the busiest nights for pizzas, it started to rain. I panicked when my wipers didn't work and drove about 5 miles with no wipers. It was hairy and scary. I was able to make it to Advance and went in to the store. Fortunately, Mike was working. I apologized and asked him if he could help. Without batting an eye, he said sure and came out with me into the rain. He expertly attached the wiper, and said "do you have the wiper for the other side" and proceeded to attach that one even though it was still raining. THAT, my friends, is SERVICE. I hope Mike is rewarded by the company for this outstanding servi
Do NOT order from Advanced Auto Parts online. They basically rob you.
I ordered a part online. Paid extra for 1-2 day shipping. My part will not be delivered for 5 days. I chatted online with 3 people. As soon as I said, "I want a refund for shipping." the chat magically ended due to connection each time. I finally got a phone number and talked to a live person and they told me, "It's 1-2 business days." Is says nowhere on there sight about business days. Then they told me, "The best we can do is offer a $20 coupon." The shipping was more than $20. Don't waste your time or money with them. Poor customer service, deceitful web site, and like I said, "They rob you!"
PRICE GOUGING, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
One of the worst auto parts stores to buy from! They gouge you on their prices, sometimes their markup is 110% on parts! Unless I need that part that day, I will buy from Rock Auto, Amazon, EBay, even Walmart online is waaayyyy cheaper. I’ve had issues with quality in the past with their parts as well.
I needed a windshield washer nozzle for my minivan, Advanced (and most other local parts stores) had it for an astonishing price of $28! It’s a tiny piece of plastic that shoots water onto your windshield! Why is it so expensive? Amazon had the same Dorman part for $15, but unfortunately I needed it ASAP. I pick it up after I purchased it online and when I opened the package I noticed it would swivel on the hose nipple! It was broke in the package!! It just leaked everywhere! Mind you a big snow storm is on its way, so I had to order another one and no one had it in stock by me, so I waited a day for them to order it in. No one calls me back to tell me my part is in so I have to call them, the guys tells me that he has no record of any part being ordered for me!!! So now I have to wait another day for my part! So 3 days now with no nozzle during a winter storm! I will add that this was during a severe cold snap and during Christmas week.
I definitely don’t recommend Advanced Auto Parts unless you are in a pinch and need it at that minute!
I bought an alternator and a belt…
I bought an alternator and a belt online. Website sent me to wrong store 15 miles from house. Manager in Livingston tried to do a store transfer. He did all he could. They couldn’t work with online store… I had pay for another alternator in person. Cancel my online order. It has been 4 days. My money is still on hold. I called Advanced Auto. They told me that was my problem and my banks problem. This is ridiculous. I will not be shopping at Advance Auto again if I can help it!
I bought brake fluid for my car 20 days…
I bought brake fluid for my car 20 days ago. When I bought it, the clerk said that the product had no price because it was discontinued, so he decided to charge me 27 dollars for a pentosin dot4 German brake fluid. I pay for it. Today I returned it because I couldn't use it but I didn't have the receipt because I lost it. They told me that according to the policy they do not receive returns on discontinued products. I do not recommend this company for any reason, the attention is bad in general.
Unfortunately I read the reviews very late but it's probably not too late for future buyers.
Beware of Advance Auto Parts Corporate
In my opinion this company can improve by shutting down and reopen with ethics.
Auto parts stores might as well all close…
If you shop at any auto parts store you are. Not to sharp. Everything is at least 3 times the cost. It's absolutely ridiculous. It's supposed to save you money not break you for a can of spray paint and a tie rod end your looking at 60 to 80 bucks. Are you serious. I'll never set foot in any auto parts store again. And if you are going to overprice at least have the part to rip someone off with. Why would I wait days to pay 75% more for a part I can order online. It sucks because I used to enjoy going to auto store.
I took a failed battery in for…
I took a failed battery in for replacement as it was a “gold” and is guaranteed for three years. The battery is just over two and a half years old according to its date sticker. I was told that if I didn’t purchase the battery at the store I was returning the battery to then the warranty would not be honored as the stores are”not connected”. Unbelievable
I’m an disable two time Army Wounded…
I’m an disable two time Army Wounded Veteran who went to Advance Auto Parts 10620 Pacific Highway S Lakewood WA 98499 to purchased a new set of Batteries for my vehicle and was assisted by Trevor who does an incredible job by ensuring all terminals and everything was scrub of clean and spray. He took pride of his job and for sure I’ll recommend others to shop at this Advance Auto Parts..
Don’t never forget the customer is who pays your bills
Why is it? When somebody leaves a bad review for advance auto there’s always one right after that. That has five stars? My experienced today to look up a fuel pump for warranty Brad from Trenton hub store, Michigan blew up at me Maybe you had a bad day Thank you you just sent me to another store. I should not have to deal with that. You lost my business and respect to.
Advance AutoPart Employees are Heroes
I need to by a 10-Amp fuse for my electric GEM golf cart. I want to Lowes in Boynton Beach, Fl and found a pack with many different size fuses for $37. Then I went to Advanced Auto Store 09142 across Woolbright Road. The same variety pack of fuses was $27 and they had a small pack of 10-amp fuses for $6. I could not get the new fuse to seat on my GzEm fuse box. Three Advance Auto Part employees came out and accessed the problem. They got it to seat for me. This store is great: low prices, knowledgable employees, and wonderful service.
I came today to recycle the oil that I…
I came today to recycle the oil that I have change from my car the oil that I bought here and the employee enrrique aproach to me telling me that I need permission to go and deposit the use oil when an old costumer usually he always is like that with my person if he don't like to attend me or he do t.like to do his job he need to give the opportunity to some one else manager at the Bellaire location need to see that.
You're return policy is ignorant
You're return policy is ignorant. If a spouse is asked to return something making it impossible by requiring the exact card is was bought on seems like a way to possibly avoid taking the return at all.
We'll take your money and you can't have it back!
Wanted to return a set of not needed downstream oxygen sensors, but to my surprise, they won't give me a refund. The guy at the store said he couldn't communicate with the system and I had to go across town to try to get a refund. Drove way over there, They said they do not refund money only exchange bad parts for new ones. This guy was insinuating that I had installed the parts and was trying to return old parts. I have to agree that the tips looked burned, I thought that that was from the factory test, but I now suspect they sell you used parts that are probably bad then accuse you of trying to get money back for the parts you took off.
I smell a rat and it smells like Advance Auto Parts.
You suck! I'll take my business elsewhere! I've been using Advance since it was Discount Auto Parts. You haven't advanced, they should call it Degenerate Auto parts instead!
Have to say the parts look new because the nut isn't rusted but the filament looks burned. I suspect someone was trying to replace parts to find what was broken and took it back.
Honesdale pa store has taco bell old manager I guess
