Our booked ferry was cancelled just 24 hours before the sailing. The next sailing ,2 hours later, was then delayed by more than an hour. Not a very good service at all.

Food options are very limited and overpriced, comfort on board was average. Would definitely recommend P&O and Irish ferries before DFDS prices are around the same.

Having reorganised my return to France due to needing to remain in the UK an additional two days, the customer service rep told me I had a four hour window either side of my 12.55pm departure. I arrived at Dover 4pm and was told I would now have to pay an additional £71 as the next crossing was at 6pm, therefore being more than four hours. This technicality was not well explained by the DFDS rep and I was clearly out of pocket.
