Visited Tallaght site today for an MRI
Visited Tallaght site today for an MRI, have a terrible with them but the lads on site where unbelievable, Im not 100% on there names but both couldn’t of been nicer, the gentleman doing the MRI was so patient when I needed a minute it was no problem and taking through it with me.
Above and beyond service at Affidea Cork today
I Visited Affidea Cork City today. Charles at reception was fantastic- when i popped in just to check the location, he arranged for me to be seen within 15 minutes instead of waiting until evening.
Emily, who i believe did my scan was also lovely The facilities were spotless too.
Exceptional service and kindness from the whole team Thank you !
Horrendous customer service. Avoid
Horrendous customer service when trying to book MRI scan.
Thd person on the phone was dismisive, unprofessional unhelpful and appeared to have no idea of the geography of Dublin.
Cowboy operation best avoided.
In the end I cancelled, I will just get a referral letter from GP and source a reputable privider myself.
Payment and personal details requested upfront or no deal, could be scammers
These guys rang me up for a follow-up scan appointment that they never told me was going to happen last year when i was in with them, then proceeded to tell me that they don't cover VHI. They requested my personal details (they could have been anyone) then requested payment of €192 to book this 'required' follow-up appt over the phone. It was not possible to pay them on the day. No way was I giving them money and personal details over the phone to these guys, too many scams out there. They are taking complete liberties with their customers. Everything about them smacks of greed. just check their other reviews, they say it all. I wont be going near them again
If you have a medical card - use different provider.
If you have a medical card, ask your doctor for an alternative provider. It is impossible to speak to a real person for an update and you will be waiting over one year (so far in my case).
Very poor service
Very poor service trying to book a scan for my daughter. Different information from different staff I spoke with. Advised processing the referral was delayed as no consultant name on referral - it was on headed paper and had consultant name on it and signed! But did not phone me to clarify referral info. Kept saying it would take a few weeks for radiologist to review referral, and that time just kept increasing.
Overcharged by €332
Overcharged by €332. Paid in cash. Refused to credit my bank account. I must drive 348km round trip to redeem my money that they overcharged me. AVOID
5 months waiting for a CT scan appointment.
Referred for a CT scan 5 months ago. Completed their patient profile which was sent via text message 5 months ago. This stated that I would be contacted by a member of their scheduling team to arrange the appointment. I am still waiting to be contacted. Needless to say, I have gone elsewhere.
Difficult to comprehend contact details…
Difficult to comprehend contact details and general messaging. Attitudes might be acceptable in a totalitarian state. Worst patient/client attitude in my long experience. Have requested alternative Service provider eg VHI/ Laya etc. Jmy Lynch
What ever you do do not book this…
What ever you do do not book this place! If you’re a healthcare professional who can refer your patients I would recommend SSC, Alliance or hermitage clinic instead. They have incompetent staff on the phone and a terrible booking service. If your patient needs seen urgently it ain’t going to happen. Worst service ever.
VERY UNPROFESSIONAL
I had an absolute joke of an experience with their Ballyheigue centre. I made a complaint, and the person who got back to me basically denied everything and left it at that.
No compassion or professionalism here whatsoever.

I had absolutely disturbing morning at Drogheda Affidea ,to be honest I was a few minutes late ,because I found difficult to find a place . But the doctors were extremely not nice ,they didn’t let me use Dictionary or call the interpreter at the very end they told me my Time is finished and I have to leave !
Terrible treatment of our elderly mum…
Terrible treatment of our elderly mum in Dublin. When we highlight multiple errors on scan reports - they pretend to be interested with an AI type response. Then they vanish when facts of case are produced - be careful if you have any potential cancer diagnosis, as you might loose valuable treatment time with their errors and oversights. Might be covered by your insurer like VHI - but consider going directly to your consultant’s hospital even if you have to pay full. Don’t trust them and definitely don’t trust their ‘senior’ management. They then refuse our data protection/ gdpr request. Hopefully our mum will live this stage. Never again will anyone from our family go near Affidea - value your health
Absolutely shocking service
Absolutely shocking service.
Appointment confirmed by text only to find out when I arrive at the clinic that the time has been CHANGED. I’m supposed to arrive with a FULL bladder 20 minutes prior to appointment time then because they have changed the time WITHOUT NOTIFYING me I am
expected to wait an extra time.
I had an appointmenlack of customer caret with them
I had an appointment with them. My doctor wrote specifically was to be done by MRI, they totally ignored what the doctor requested. My doctor gave me the letter and I read it. They did not follow through on this. My doctor wrote for my left side to be checked they commented on my right hand side.
I recently had another MRI done and X-Ray done there. You can clearly see from the pictures of the X-Ray my hips are not level, my leg bows out and my heel turns in, which is causing pain. The result came back as normal . I just got off the phone to get an email address to write a complaint and the guy was rude.
Poor online booking system.
Poor on line booking system. I am fully covered by health insurers, got text and accessed site as directed. Would not accept my credit card due to technical difficulties on their site my bank told me.Eventually got an agent by phone who was very helpful and it's organised. Please do not run an online booking system that do not work efficiently ! Barriers to client access.
The worst managed service in the…
The worst managed service in the country . Ten days waiting for urgent xray (post op in US) nine year old and every time I called they couldn’t tell me where referral was or if it even was received. On the tenth day, I was informed they needed more details from consultant. Still no Xray.

I was finally logged into their so called *PORTAL*
For 3 days I was trying to register or log in and the red text said: It appears you are having trouble logging in to our portal. Don’t worry, if you don't have an appointment yet, we have your referral letter and one of our agents will contact you to make one soon. If your appointment is already scheduled we are looking forward to seeing you in the Affidea clinic. Finally my wife was accepted after our GP made few contacts for us.
And this morning we were taken in. The unit was setup in a shipping container on a corner of a medical centre. Looks like a temporary facility in a war zone!!! Not a very friendly approach from the start.

If u take one piece of advice today, under no circumstances book this location for your scan.
I ended up here as vhi cover their CT scans 100%, so transferred the service from the Beacon, which was 75%.
There are 3 patient car park spots. No joke.
A security guard sent me around to a Luas car park which was completely full, warning me about APCOA clamping left right and centre.
Dundrum shopping centre is the next option, or a housing estate in balally up the hill around the corner. 20mins driving around, trying to find a spot.
Theres a 2hr fast required, but my scan was 9.40 so hadnt eaten this the night before effectively. Im a diabetic, managing sugars, but had to run down from 10mins away - arrived 30mins late, sweating, flustered, angry, and watching for a hypo.
Staff were fine, receptionist just shrugged, reception area is wide open so just hope u dont meet anyone u know i guess, meanwhile out the window i could see apcoa circling like vultures.
Heading off on my trek back to the car in the rain, on the way out I hear the next poor punter starting off the rigmarole with the security guard all over.
Horrendous experience.
Horrible
Visited for an MRI at a location in a shipping container with zero privacy in terms of patient information. The waiting room is the size of a small hallway in a house, meaning that everyone can hear you recounting your personal details, whether you have a contraceptive coil, previous MRI history etc. to the receptionist. I was en route in plenty of time for my appointment and they called me while I was on the way to see 'how far away' I was as they'd had a cancellation before me. Arrived in plenty of time for my appointment time and was rushed through check in and changing, and they were displeased I needed to use the toilet before going in for the scan. Receptionist was visibly unwell with a bad cough and wasn't wearing a mask (in the shipping container with little/no ventilation). Go for an appointment at one of the larger centres if you're hoping for some professionalism.
