My fence has been damaged by Agency express

My fence has been damaged by Manton's estate agents board contractor ( Agency express ).

They installed their sale board on fence post due to the heavy board my fence started to wobble.

After notifying this issue to Manton's estate agent from Feb- 2026 it has been told fence post was already loose and told they will not take any responsibility.

Fence has been changed recently and it was in good condition but the board contractor didn't want to fix it so they are ignoring saying post was like this before which is not true.

They would not been able to install the board in first place if the fence post was in good condition.

It is very disappointing after chasing for 3 months via e-mail and phone calls they are not fixing it just saying it was like that before which is not true.

Absolutely dreadful

If I could give this company zero stars it would still be too much. I was told I needed to order more boards as my completely incompetent board man (who I, along with others complained about on a regular basis) indicated he was holding no more stock for me. At a cost of hundreds of pounds i then ordered a quantity of boards. The franchisee subsequently left the company. At a later date I discovered that my stock levels had doulble as my original boards had now been put back onto the system. When I challenged head office about the needless money I had spent they told me they could do nothing and that it was my responsibility to approach the historic board man if i wanted to be reimbursed. This is a company which operates nationally but who take absolutely no responsibility for people who represent their brand. Disgraceful!

Avoid using Agency Express Torbay. Rude man who blocks people’s drives while taking personal phone calls I. E. NOT loading or unloading

Avoid using Agency Express Torbay at all costs. The franchise owner is rude, belligerent and arrogant. When politely asked if he was aware he was blocking a drive with double yellow lines and a dropped kerb (while taking a ten minute long personal phone call loudly with his window down), he proceeded to offer a torrent of abuse including “I’m sat in my bloody van you only have to ask me!” “you’ve obviously got nothing better to do with your time” and “you can come and ask me to move if you want to get out” I informed him I did want to get out but he stomped off to put his sign up (well over any unloading time allowed by then) While trying to report this incident to the ‘licensed operator’ number on his van, I discovered the number is out of order. Absolute cowboy who my mother has waited eight months for to come and remove the for sale sign from outside her house because he’s ’too busy!’ Avoid at all costs.

Unauthorised placement of board & refusal to accept liability

Agency Express placed a large advertising board on a wall that did not belong to the property they were marketing, without any permission from the owner or consultation with residents. This is an obvious breach of property rights and, in legal terms, amounts to trespass.

The board caused damage to the wall, yet when contacted — with video evidence provided — they denied responsibility, citing “external conditions beyond control.” This is irrelevant when the board should never have been fixed there in the first place.

They have refused to arrange repairs, leaving the property owner to deal with the consequences of their unauthorised actions. If they fail to resolve this promptly, we will have no choice but to pursue the matter in the Small Claims Court.

I cannot recommend a company that operates in this way. If you value professionalism and respect for property boundaries, look elsewhere.

Please do not give this company your…

Please do not give this company your business. They employ people without properly vetting them, please stay away. Steven Hilton who is the croydon franchisee is an unprofessional, inhumane and awful person. Read the other reviews and see for yourself. You've been warned!!!

Disgusting, nightmare of a company

I am deploring no one to use this company. I am asking that if you do use this company, you stop immediately

Steven Hilton verbally abused me and told me to “*** off” and hung up when I asked how to use the signmaster3 app. This is disgusting, unacceptable and asinine behaviour. I couldn’t believe it

Steven claims he has so many customers, that he is too busy to help anyone with answering genuine questions. When he loses customers he will realise the importance of customer service. I will not stop until I have a remedy and I am prepared to go down any avenue including legal for nuisance - who on earth treats customers this way?

The head office also do not know how to use the app so you will find yourself chasing your tail. They promise call backs but do not call you back.

A nightmare experience. I have also had a friend who was treated disgustingly by this company. Do not use them, take your business elsewhere and hopefully when they go out of pocket, they’ll learn a vital lesion.

Awful, damaged my fence and don’t take responsibility

Terrible, avoid at all cost. This company tied up a For Sale board for a different property to my fence, the whole thing came down and they refuse to take responsibility. On top of that, the board did not specify which flat was for sale (so people assumed it was mine). Fast forward, I have had a broken fence with their board attached lying in my front garden for over a month now. Company claims to have dropped by but they haven’t removed the board (which is against regulations btw). Dreadful.

Awful

Used to be a reliable board operator in South Wales, operative Clive Malam was reliable, friendly and honest. Since he left the service has been worse than abysmal - 4 weeks for a board to be erected or removed? The wrong board removed? Boards marked as missing when they are still there? Come on! We're currently looking for a replacement company as this company is not longer a safe bet :(

Terrible workmanship by Agency Express…

Purple bricks instructed Agency Express to put a key safe up - which was not requested and not needed. Agency Express never rung the door bell, just put it up! Got the key safe removed and Agency Express made a complete mess of trying to fill the holes. They refused to take any responsibility for their bad workmanship stating that it wasn't their job to fill the holes anyway!

Damaged my front door

I didn't even employ them and they damaged my house and they haven't still taken any responsibility. How worse than this can you be as a company?

A month ago they were asked by Purplebricks to go to my neighbour's house and mount a key locker, but they got the wrong address and instead installed it outside of my front door (without calling anyone to confirm or even ringing the bell!!?!). After weeks to deal with Purplebricks they came (again, unannounced and they didn't even ring the bell) and removed the key locker leaving 4 big holes which they were not prepared to cover, so now it looks ugly and all that cause they didn't know how to do their job.

Fast forward to a month and a half and nobody seems to take responsibility of damaging the front of my porch, so I will probably have to go via legal ways. If this is how they deal with non-customers, I wouldn't want to see how poor their actual customer support is.
