I never received my boots and Aigle only offered 20 percent off my next order to compensate.....bizarre!
I bought a pair of wellies a month ago, but they never arrived. When I contacted customer service I received a cryptic email saying they are waiting to hear back from the delivery service. That’s it. When I asked whether they could make it right they said 20% off my next order. I think I would want to receive my first order before I spend more there...amiright? I felt bad for the poor fellow who worked there :( don’t buy for this brand online. For reals.
Incompetent beyond belief.
When I placed my order I was charged £15 for DHL delivery courier.
I received an email advising my order had been shipped by DHL and was provided with a DHL tracking number and I could also follow the shipment by logging into my account.
The tracking number didn't work and I couldn't follow the shipment on my account so I contacted DHL and was told the tracking number was not a DHL number.
I contacted Aigle and was advised they had provided me with the incorrect information, they had actually used (Much cheaper) ‘Hermes' delivery courier and I was then given the correct Hermes tracking information.
When I tracked my order with Hermes I noticed my house number and street name was missing from my address even though it was correct on my account and also email order confirmation.
I immediately emailed Aigle customer services advising them of the situation, but I did not receive an acknowledgement or reply.
I placed my order 10 days and had to try to communicate with Hermes to correct the address, until it was finally received.
The products were good, therefore I assumed I had been unlucky and the above was a 'one off' so I placed another order, however the exact same thing has happened - I received a DHL tracking info (Incorrect as they had used Hermes) and the street number and address has been removed - USELESS BEYOND BELIEF!
Aigle have proven to be one of the most incompetent companies I have ever had the misfortune to deal with and I will never ever buy their products directly again!
Shambolic customer service
Shambolic customer service. I ordered a pair of garden clogs, which have not arrived. The dhl tracking number provided does not wirk, Their customer services department does mot answer calls and puts you through to a message in French.
Having read some of the messages here, it seems this experience is common. Considering the product has a very good reputation, I am surprised how they treat their customers. I am now at a loss how to get a refund and will contact Trading Standards. Their website ought to be shut down to protect customers.
poor customer service for broken items
I bought a pair of rain boots for my kids. After 2 month of wearing the seam broke. I send aigle pictures of the broken seam. They told me I have to send them back for inspection. I payed 25euro to ship the boots to france.
After 1 month aigle send me back the broken boots. Without any comment.
Aigle customer services (and par cours vario wellingtons)
The customer services department of Aigle are very poor for a company that sells expensive wellingtons. I have bought 3 pairs of Aigle Parcours Vario Wellingtons (2 for me and 1 for hubby) as they are sold as good for walking Last week wearing their parcours Vario iso boots (Which I have worn less than 20 times as they are winter boots) i slipped on a really shallow incline resulting in breaking my leg in 3 places. These boots are described as "walking wellingtons" and also "boots for hunting in woods by Decathlon " and so I feel that they should not have slipped . The ambulance service had to cut the boots off rendering them an expensive waste of money and I emailed Aigle to tell them what had happened ask them if they could possibly give me a good will gesture towards some new ones as they should not have slipped and they were very expensive to replace . Their customer service department was pathetic and just told me "..sorry, have a speedy recovery . Theres nothing we can do and to contact my insurance company" Not impressed!!!!!
I am having the same issues as the…
I am having the same issues as the previous reviewer Tony is experiencing. My wellies are less than 2yrs old and are very well looked after, but they have both split. Tried all contact numbers I can find, to no avail, also emailed the Contact Us page on the Aigle website but this doesnt send. At a loss how to get in touch with them, which is terrible. These are not cheap boots. How does a company of this standing get away with absolutely no follow up customer care?
Aigle - Poor Quality, Worse Customer Service!
My Aigle Wellingtons were a good fit and comfortable. A few weeks ago I started noticing they were letting in water and discovered that the sole of the boots was coming away from the upper in a few places. The boots are admittedly over two years old, and therefore out of warranty, but given their price and the reputation of the Aigle brand I felt it was worth contacting the manufacturer for advice - should this be happening quite so soon, are they repairable, should I throw them away, the boots are used two/three times per week, for six months of the year, on soft ground. There is a contact page on the Aigle website where one fills in an on-line form but this apparently does not actually work, I tried three times. The customer service 'phones are either engaged or ring out and I tried contacting Aigles UK's Country Manager and their Customer Service Team Leader via LinkedIn but was ignored by both. Eventually an Aigle UK Key Account Manager kindly sent me a direct email address for Aigle customer service but their response to my mail was that I should buy some glue/sealer on line! I did ask them if they could at least inspect the boots and offered to pay to return them to Aigle UK but was ignored again. I then contacted the KAM guy again, asking for his business address or the email contact addresses for either Aigle UK's Sales Director or their Customer Service Director. Again, he refused. I found this odd given I was an Aigle client with a problem. Thus I will throw my expensive Aigle boots away and invest in a pair from Hunter or Barbour. I would avoid the Aigle brand, they simply do not appear to be interested in their clients. I would add that only some Aigle boots are manufactured in France, apparently, others in China. The French boots are offered with a two year warranty, the Chinese boots only one year.
Awful
Updated review – it gets worse
I attempted to call Aigle customer services multiple times on different days. No one ever answers the UK or French phone numbers. And the English number has an automated message in French, which most English customers won't understand.
So I emailed them. 8 days later received a response.
A week after I placed my order, I was told it had shipped. But the "DHL" tracking number is not recognised by DHL.
5 days after the shipment email, I still haven't received it. DHL have always been excellent for me – so did it actually ship?
Do I now have to wait another week to find out what is going on?
