Poor quality control
This was the only reputable company I could find who still had evaporative air conditioner units. I rang to ask a few questions and spoke with Miall. He was kind and professional, although when I asked which courier company they use he told me they do their own deliveries. This turned out to be incorrect as they sent my order via DPD. That was fine, they're good in this area - just a little strange that Miall got it wrong.
However, when I set up the machine last night I suddenly found it was leaking everywhere. I had to unplug it quickly.
Today I examined it more closely and found there was a several centimetre crack in the water tank. I can't even ask the company for a replacement as they've run out of them.
The box is intact which means the unit was either damaged during manufacture/packaging or it was a returned item which had been damaged by a previous customer and not checked properly before being sold again.
I have no choice but to patch it up and use it given that we're in a heatwave again, but for a £200 unit I expected it to at least be intact and fit for purpose.
I'm sure they're a well meaning company and the delivery was exemplary, just be aware their quality control may not be of the best.

Poor customer service: I do understand that there is a problem with supply at the moment, but if you don’t have something available then please contact the customer to arrange an alternative or return funds straight away, don’t just tell them “we won’t be sending it to you until September”. And then when they contact you, don’t get back to them. I see you have a lot of people with an experience like this this week….

Appalling customer service
Appalling customer service - do not trust website. Placed an order in June showing units available to be delivered 8 July. Called on 8 July to be told that only part of the order would be available for delivery on 22 July. They had not reached out to me, they lied about availability and then they made a cancellation over the phone very difficult. Do not trust.

Fairly quick delivery and very pleased with our ELL Como air con unit. It’s noisy but you get used to it. It’s only 9000 bit but powerful and adequate for our lounge and dining room. Very pleased.

Great AC unit.
The AC unit was delivered on the day we were told that it would be. I would suggest using a different delivery company though. DHL delivered mine. The box was not intact, it wasn't dropped but put down quite hard. The driver was as rude as he usually is. I have complained to DHL. However, the unit is a good size for our bedroom as we don't have the biggest room. Though it was more money that we wanted to spend, it is worth it as the warmer summers seem to be getting hotter. We are renters so this unit has been a great investment. Easy to set up and very easy to use.

Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Tried ordering a portable A/C unit for our daughter, who is studying abroad. Website said product was in stock, ready to ship. Was notified two days later that the product was out of stock and not sure when it would be back in. Two days later, they processed our payment, knowing that the product was not available. No response from company. Absolutely terrible business.

I ordered a portable air-conditioning…
I ordered a portable air-conditioning unit for my daughter who is studying abroad in London. Your website advertise the unit is in stock so we ordered it and paid extra for expedited delivery. We received an email from Aircon stating that the unit was out of stock and then they would not be able to fulfill our order. Aircon direct proceeded to charge us full price for our order, even though we weren’t going to receive the product. Email response from this company and customer service are both severely lacking and I won’t be able to recommend to other families who have students studying abroad in the United Kingdom. I’ve had to dispute the charge with my bank, and I am very disappointed with my overall experience.

Arrived on day . Very prompt delivery . Great unit ... cools down the room well and our room is 32 foot long plus our kitchen. Been great for 5 days and temps outside getting hotter but no complaints apart from the unit being on sale for 800 four weeks ago and now 1599 :-(

Bought a really nice looking (for an…
Bought a really nice looking (for an aircon unit) dark grey/black unit from Aircon Direct, at a fairly reasonable price (for an aircon unit).
Paid for the express delivery and was delivered as promised and within the one hour timeframe. No damage during delivery so all good.
The unit came with an extendable hose, window kit, remote and was wifi compatible using the app. So plenty of techie things to play, so again all good.
Been running the unit now to cool the living room and although only 9000BTU it's really working very well. Thought it might be a bit too small, but the output is very good and keeping the room cool. Very good.
So no complaints about anything, easy to order, delivered on time, nice looing unit and does the job it was bought for.
