Flight delay claim not dealt with for 4 months - still out of pocket

I wrote to the CEO of Air France as well as KLM as after 4 months of exchanging emails with their customer care team, several phone calls to their customer service (which phone line I can no longer get through to) where I was promised prompt action but nothing happened in reality, submitting the same information time and time again via email and via the claims portal, I am still out of pocket for expenses and hotel costs due to a 24 hour flight delay. I was even threatened by one of the advisors that the claim will be closed if I do not submit the required information - which I have several times to ensure they have it. My 3 travelling companions have received their compensation months ago. The issue with my claim was, that I got married not long before our trip and some of my documents were still under my maiden name (these things take time), however I have provided all the documents they requested. No reply from customer services or anyone else. The poorest of service I have ever received from a company. disgraceful and they will never get my business ever again.

They changed the flight day with months in advance and kept selling the original flight at a higher price!!

I bought a flight from Spain to Brazil in April, with departure in December 2025. A few weeks after the purchase, I received a notification that my flight had “changed“: these MFs moved it to the next day, making me lose one day of my hard-earned vacations. The cherry on top? They kept selling that same flight at a higher price!!! That’s overbooking and it’s ilegal!!! I’ve sent several claims, that they closed without answering and contacted the customer care via whatsapp – the service is outrageously bad!! I’ve requested a full refund and compensation. Found countless of similar cases online. I’m never flying AF again.

Appalling.

Not only did they forget to put my suitcase on the plane on the way the Thailand, on the way back they brought out my clearly labelled vegan meal containing a chicken breast! As someone who hasn't eaten meat in 10 years you might be able to imagine how this made me feel. The in flight staff were rude & unhelpful (& later offered me a cheese sandwich?! Also very much not vegan) & the customer service team I've been dealing with have been appalling. So if you would like your luggage to arrive safely with you, & ensure you're not accidentally served meat or potential allergens, I recommended using an airline that is NOT airfrance KLM.

BYE BYE AIR FRANCE /KLM

Dear AFKLM,

We have been loyal travellers AFKLM for 15 years my husband and I . We live in Jakarta Indonesia so we often travel back to Europe to see our family and for business.

Even though your tickets were more expensive than your competitors ( Qatar , Emirates and Turkish Airlines ) we stuck to the philosophy of giving you OUR support as we are European like you !
Then during COVID we travelled less , but we travelled on AFKLM and I lost my silvercard membership number right in 2020. But I continued to travel with my Flying blue card , bought three round trip tickets from Jakarta to Europe for myself. My husband who travelled even less than me ( once to twice a year ) had his Silver membership number cancelled on JUNE 30,2023.
Our friends told us that they lost too their advantage on AFKLM in a split second . They switched airlines.

Comparing your fares with your competitors for this past summer 2023 and for December 2023 , we decided that our LOYALTY to you had limits. Your fares rocketed sky high ! For December 2023 I found round trip tickets to Europe HALF YOUR PRICE !
It's a pity after so many years trying to support you.
So we bid you farewell!
