Booking a flight

Booking a flight
One expects the ticket price to be fixed. I observed that Air Peace advertises a price at the point of selecting a flight to book. If you look quickly enough, once you select your flight, the price changes to a higher amount, and continues from there as if nothing just happened. The system justifies the sharp practice by listing components of the price to match the new price. I have also observed price changing further in between the same transaction.
I recommend that the airline design a system that charges and sticks to the advertised price.

One of the worst airline experiences I…

One of the worst airline experiences I have ever had.

I booked an Air Peace flight from Gatwick to Lagos on 1 May. After passengers had already checked in, the flight was suddenly cancelled with almost no communication from staff. Hundreds of passengers were left stranded and confused for hours, with no clear explanation, until I personally confronted staff for information.

After keeping us waiting for more than six hours without access to our luggage, Air Peace sent passengers to the Hilton overnight and promised we would continue our journey the next day. In the middle of the night, they suddenly changed the itinerary from Heathrow to Abuja, then claimed we would eventually be flown from Abuja to Lagos at 6pm the following day.

By this point, my wife and I had already missed the funeral service we travelled for. The entire trip became pointless, stressful, and emotionally upsetting.

We therefore decided to abandon the journey and requested a refund. Air Peace told us the refund would take 14 working days. It has now been over 21 working days, and they have stopped communicating completely.

The excuses given were also questionable. Initially, they claimed there had been a bird strike and they were waiting for spare parts from Abuja. The whole situation was handled with confusion, poor organisation, and a shocking lack of professionalism.

This airline operates with very poor customer care and little respect for passengers’ time, money, or emotional circumstances. The staff appeared overwhelmed, uncoordinated, and unable to provide honest information throughout the ordeal.

I strongly advise Nigerians and international travellers to think carefully before booking with Air Peace. If anything goes wrong, be prepared for delays, poor communication, broken promises, and a frustrating struggle to get your money back.

Truly one of the worst experiences I have had with any airline.

The worst airline I’ve ever seen with…

The worst airline I’ve ever seen with poor management.
For goodness sake, how can you cancel a flight without informing your passengers, and we came waiting for check-in only but couldn’t see any of your staff. We then started calling your customer care service line that are hanging calls on people, only to hear that the flight was cancelled, That’s very bad and poor management.
You don’t care to what happens to your passengers that has missed their businesses and life time engagements, those that has connecting local flights to continue their journey, neither do you care for people that you left stranded at Gatwick airport London, because someone came from outside London. Honestly, I’ve never had such horrible experience before.
At first when I told people I want to try your airline, they said I made mistake, and your actions proved them right.
THIS WILL BE MY FIRST AND LAST WITH YOU.

Satisfied property owner on APOM

As a property owner on APOM, I was impressed with their level of attention from the beginning. All members of staff were courteous and punctual which made putting my home onto APOM a straight forward operation. I needed to update a few things around the house to make it into a rentable condition, and APOM were helpful with suggestions. These updates were needed in any case so I was happy to do them. Upon returning, my home was as I left it, tidy and clean. There was no trace of anyone having stayed here, and I know that is due to the efficiency of the APOM team.

No Transparency- hidden charges- they sell one thing and give you another

As a landlord i was sold on a company that had its own roster of guests and who managed everthing better as ut was more personable. What a mistake to belive the sales pitch. They have hidden charges everywhere with little or no transparency. We had an issue with a shower that required me to down glass panels making it a Health and safety matter they advised me that they would still send the renter in. I refused as i felt it was risky as someone could get hurt walking into a shower that had exposed floors and unsecure glass panels with Plumbers working. They did not care about the tenants safety but just the commission .

Make Emily rich

This company is all about make Emily (the owner) rich. It is how much money she can extract from you. I was stuck with this company for 2 years pre pandemic. When the pandemic struck all the bookings are cancelled with zero compensation. When I put the property back on the short let platforms Emily tried to extract a fee from one of the new agencies. I had NO CONTRACTURAL relationship whatsoever with Air Peace of Mind but Emily wanted a fee from City Relay. Guess what : I did not go anywhere near city Relay as a result. Emily kept using photos of my property on her website to try and attract more business. I informed her she had 24 hours to remove them. She finally took them down. I still check regularly though to make sure she is not using them. She put her commission up to 30% of the rent after the pandemic, Anyone who pays anything like this needs their head examined. She introduced special pricing software when APOM managed the property. The software recommended £600 a night over Xmas / New Year. They took a booking that I then had to decline. I told them the Xmas rate was £1k per night as it had always been. They went back to the guests and told them the rate was £1k not £600 and they happily paid it. I was telling them how to do their job.

Cleaning of the property. Very hit and miss. I asked Emily to get the cleaners to water the plants in the window boxes. I was told the watering can was too heavy for them. I provided a jug but again they would not do it. All the plants subsequently died. Emily expected me to go to the property 2 or 3 x a week just to water the plants. round trip 1 hour each time. I gave up having any plants. With my new agency, Hello Guests, all the plants are watered every time the cleaners go.

Emily is an ex lawyer and frankly it shows. It is all me me me with her. So in summary if you are looking to hugely over pay for a substandard agency then this is the place for you.

Air Peace of Mind Airbnb with Emily at the helm is terrific. A company with heart!

This was our second time staying in this lovely flat managed by Emily of Air Peace of Mind. She is TRULY a Superhost! Although the property is nearly always booked, we got lucky with our travel dates and were so very pleased to return to this flat. We did not have a single issue or difficulty during our entire two week stay. Quite the contrary: the property is in an absolutely incredible location, you are not surrounded by tourists or crowds at all, and if you are a walker it is outstanding and right by the Thames and many beautiful streets. Emily is a truly responsive and caring host: she puts heart and a lot of work and good thought into her management. The Wi-Fi is top notch, the bed is comfortable, the flat is very quiet (except for some helicopters involved in filming a movie nearby but that was temporary), and it has a full fridge and kitchen and a Waitrose nearby so you can really cook your own meals while staying there. A super stay altogether, not to be missed! Emily and her company are Airbnb DONE RIGHT! Bravo to all involved, and I hope to be back! More than five stars!

I really want to keep this place all to…

I really want to keep this place all to myself, but I will be nice and share. The perfect home in the perfect central London location. Surprisingly spacious for a mews house. Check in and out were easy, host communication was clear and concise. Being in the heart of London but tucked away in Connaught Village is such a treat!

Outstanding

I have been to many air bnbs, and Emily's stands out among the best. It is clean, light (2 skylights and a tube light in the bathroom), and beautifully furnished with interesting art. It is absolutely quiet on top of all the other great things, including its fantastic, central location. Get ready for a wonderful stay...
