Gaslighting, the retaliation

Gaslighting, then retaliation

This host management company is the definition of unprofessional.

We raised legitimate issues about the house and instead of addressing them, they gaslighted us repeatedly, deflecting, minimizing, and acting as if we were the problem rather than taking responsibility.

We escalated to Airbnb. Airbnb refunded us.

And then came the petty, dishonest retaliation: they posted a fabricated guest review claiming we left the home unclean and didn’t respect it. Completely false. A transparent attempt to punish us for complaining and to protect their own image.

If you want a vacation stay managed by adults who handle issues fairly, look elsewhere. If something goes wrong here, expect denial, blame-shifting, and a vindictive review if you don’t quietly accept it.

Toxic property management

We booked for Christmas holiday in 2025 . It was a family get together. The property we booked in Aireys Inlet was managed by Airready and from day one we encountered a series of issues which basically impacted negatively on our vacation. Access to the property was delayed by an hour. The toaster when used caused power surge. The rice cooker did not work. The Wifi was very weak and useless. The dishwasher did not work. A tree on the property collapsed on a house next door. The vacuum cleaner did not work. Doors had handles missing. We kept having to report issues to management and had constant disruptions to our stay while handymen came to fix the door handles. It was a nightmare. Management refused to issue a partial refund. Airbnb did .
I left a constructive review which led Sally from Airready to write a vengeful one trying to discredit my account of what happened. That’s how they end up having only positive reviews because they come after you if you do otherwise. Airbnb investigated the dispute , removed their review of me after I challenged it under their policy but then reinstated it without a valid explanation which was very weird indeed . So I closed my account with Airbnb out of disgust. Honest reviews are meant to serve a purpose and not gloss over just to please the host.
