Just awful

I know it's cliche, but the call centre staff barely speak english and the "service" is anything but. You are charged a phenomenal amount of money for changing ticket details, and a cancellation charge, even if you try to change the booking the second after you book. My advice: run to the hills away from these people.

Dear Harry hello,

We would like to inform you that during the reservation no one can intervene and make any alterations on the given information. The online system issues a ticket with the information the web visitor inserts in each field. Furthermore, as a travel agency we do not have the ability to overcome the rules stated by the airlines' and we are doing are best in order to assist you efficiently.

In your case we proposed the best solution in accordance with the fare terms and conditions; to cancel the ticket with the minimum cancellation fee.

We remain at your disposal for any information

Thank you,

horrifying service

Their reputation does not precede them. Buying cheap tickets with them is not a problem. But when something goes wrong, they provide horrible, next to non-existent service. The laziness, unhelpfulness and delaying with which they handle email requests is startling. However, it does not stand up to the comparison with the so called "24/7" phone hotline. The gruesome, arrogant and rude manner of their employees exceeds the wildest expectations, or rather nightmares, of the combined power of the most creative minds on this planet.

Absolutely Terrible! Avoid at all costs!

My friend and I booked flights through them and both of us had different, but equally horrible, experiences with their non-existent customer service. Each person we interacted with responded in different languages that we had to google translate in order to understand. They also spelled both of our names incorrectly on our tickets and we had to go through the airline customer service to get it corrected because they couldn't fix it. We were on the same exact flights and she received an email that said that hers had been changed due to a flight being cancelled, but I received nothing. Had I not called (and waited on hold for 45 minutes), I would have never received my new flight information.

HORRIBLE. If I can give a minus star I would

Found them through Momondo.

Booked a flight for me and my husband, needed to change the date and time. Customer service said they will get back to me but hastily assured me, before hanging up, that the penalty will be £160 for both (I know - exorbitant!). I asked him to call me back to confirm the total price, because I want to re-book on the same price.

One hour later he called my unsuspecting husband, and billed him on the spot for £200, saying that I had agreed to it.

Costs had piled up, so £40 is not much in the scheme of things but this is just sloppy, and extremely unprofessional, and I even suspect deliberate.

When asked for clarification, all they can say is 'that's how it is'. Absolutely not transparent, you don't know where the money goes, and the charges keep piling up.

And all these time I'm wondering why did I not book my tickets straight with Emirates?

I'm sorry to say this, considering there are people out there who depend on this industry - but the reason middlemen exist is to offer added value (service, convenience) for customers, not to rip them off and make an extra buck here and there.

If the latter is the case, then the whole travel agent thing can, and should just disappear altogether.

This is the first, and last time I book with online agents.

Customer Service virtually NON EXISTING

Customer Service was about AS BAD AS it can get. Very unfriendly and unapologetic when there were issues with the booking, that were caused by the customer and the booking agency. I asked to speak with the manager or a different agent but to no avail. In fact, there was only one agent. It cost me about 2 hours of my time and sweat to solve issues that were at least in part caused by airtickets.com. Next time, I will rather pay a few $$ more in the hope customer service would actually exist.

THE BOTTOM LINE: I highly discourage booking through airtickets.com and will not recommend this to friends or other fellow travelers.

Horrible!

DON'T GO THERE!

After having booked flights over airtickets.de the tickets were issued with mixed up names. I tried to reach Airtickets.de by phone and E-Mail and finally caught them on Facebook.
They assured me they would CANCEL the flights and I would get 90€ back. I just wanted to have the names changed...So after having managed to get them to understand they promised to take care of the situation and would call me back as soon as possible. They did not. I have called them several times always with the sam promises. "We are waiting for the Air Lines response". Have not heard from them in 6 days now...Decided to book other flights and will take legal steps to get my money back.

DO NOT GO THERE! VERY POOR!

Poor customer service

I booked a Swiss airline ticket and I later discovered that I've missed a letter on my last name .

I contacted them and I was informed that I had had to wait till Monday as the airline's ticketing office was closed for the weekend.

I sent an email to Swiss; few hours later they sent me an email indicating this was not a big deal. They corrected my last name on their ticketing system and they reassured me that I won't be having any issues with my flight.

Airtickets, haven't contacted me since then.

Really poor service !!

Cancelled booking "for technical error"

Airtickets.com took a booking for a flight, then cancelled the booking the next day.
The exact same flight is still being offered 'confirmed' online by them through ticket search engines.
A waste of time, plus my money will be tied up on preauthorization hold on my charge card and won't be released for days.
I regret giving this company my charge card number.
I booked with a different agent no troubles.

AVOID!!!

Horrible company to deal with. Booked a simple Ryanair flight through them. Had to change the passengers name (from maiden name to married name). This company tried to charge me €110 even though when I called Ryanair directly they could do this for €10, (I couldn't manage my booking with Ryanair directly because I had made the mistake of booking with Airtickets).Only after about 10 calls and continually being put on hold and transferred to different operators, was it finally organised. You have to call them to even issue your boarding pass, which takes about 20mins after being put on hold and transferred. They also have the IATA logo on their website but no link to IATA.Horrible, inefficient customer service, so much more hassle than booking directly with the airline. Don't know how companies like this stay in business. Don't trust them.DONT GO NEAR THEM!!!

If you wanna have a hassle free booking, then find another website to book....

I have recently booked a trip between Copenhagen and Bangkok on air tickets.com. First of all their computer system mixed up my first and family name. My first name in the booking is now stated as ....... and a MR attached to it. Its obvious that there is a commuter bug in their system. When I contacted them they said it is not possible to fix it and they can not correct my name. Then, after one week I noticed that they charged my credit card twice for the booking, so I had to contact them again to get my money back. Never again....
