Mistake to try this company again as I had forgotten my experience of several years ago.
I fell for an email offer with great images of tomahawk and trimmed lamb cutlets.
Arrived on time, but large lumps of rib beef which may or may not be good,but are not the trimmed tomahawk I expected, and the 7 (pack says typically 12) french trimmed lamb cutlets in the Kg pack are 50% fat including thick outer layer.
Totally misleading marketing.

I ordered a beef joint, bacon and black puddings on 7 Jan 25 with due delivery on 16th
Which was the Matthews choice, not mine. The order was not delivered. When I phoned, I was told there would be another week of delay to the whole order, as black puddings had been sold out. There was no prior ommunication giving me a warning and maybe the choice of just having the rest of the order. I cancelled the whole order and asked for a refund, feeling let down . Had the beef been good, I was going to order a large sirloin joint for my 80th birthday . Not now I can't rely on them.

Oder delivered as expected, all the food was excellent, some of it not to my taste but that's just personal choice, quality was exceptional, overall, top class service and product

I ordered a topside roast and explained I needed extra fat to roast it as topside can be very dry. My request was acknowledged but when my order arrived the fat was not included even though it was on the delivery note.
I telephoned the shop twice only to be given the message that there was no fat available ( in a large butchery outfit !!!) as it had all gone to restaurants. And that was felt to be all this customer deserved!

Matthews’ meat may be good but his customer care is non existent and I won’t order from them again.

I received my order on the date provided. On arrival my order was really well packaged.

The black pudding is the tastiest I have ever had! I will be ordering more very soon.
