Martin Kennedy was our mortgage advisor. He was very helpful and worked hard to secure us a good rate in a timely fashion just before the rates went up due to the outbreak of the war on iran. It started well with a scheduled telephone apt and the adviser was knowledgeable and helpful. Unfortunately that’s the extent of the positive experience. After sending the requested documents I heard nothing for two weeks despite chasing by phone and email. Eventually the adviser sent me an AIP, having made no enquiries about aspects of my payslips/ variable income or anything like that. Despite my request to maximise affordability, the AIP achieved was £17k less affordability than another adviser at a different firm achieved and had a worse LTV, it was clearly rushed through. I then followed up with a few questions by email, no response. I was not a priority to this firm, and they were clearly not interested in working my case.

Anil guided me through the process of securing my first mortgage and was extremely friendly, patiently explained every step and was always available to answer any questions I had.
Same goes for Charlie, who helped me decide what kind of insurances I need and secured top tier premiums that were cheaper than what I could find on the market.
Big thanks to both of them for making this daunting and complicated process much easier!

I used Alexander Hall as a first time buyer and found the experience very positive. George from their team helped me with my mortgage. Overall the process was very easy as George did quite well to get everything required completed and kept me up to date, worked through the options clearly and got me a good rate. George especially was patient understanding this process was new for myself.
Near the end of the completion process for my property we did face an issue as the bank did not receive a document but George worked well with my solicitor and managed to get it all resolved in good time without delaying the completion date.

Overall definitely recommend them and was glad they handled my mortgage, especially George who did a great job. Thank you!
